Out of all the coffee places in my area, I prefer this place. The coffee isn’t burnt and the staff is friendly. However, the friendliness gets old when I’ve been in line for 25 minutes like today. I just want my coffee and to leave. I’ve already spent more time in your place than I had time for and I’m not up for an invasive conversation to make me stay longer. The drive thru is sloooow, so avoid it unless there’s no cars or you have a half an hour to sit waiting. I’m not sure what the deal is, but I order soy milk every time and get crappy cow’s milk. After two sips, I toss the coffee because milk tastes gross. I don’t come here often anymore because of it.

Came here a few times after they opened. Never had good service. They seem to be to busy to talk or be polite. Service was not great and always had to ask for xtra stuff that should come with hot coffee. Like a insulator for te hot coffee or double cup like DUTCHBROS.

Coffee is alright. I don’t think it’s hot enough but I like mine to melt my tongue off. The coffee isn’t strong as Starbucks, but that’s what I like. I got the Irish cream Brevae. It’s definitely not as good as dutch Bros. But would come in 2nd place to them. It is kind of slow here. They engage with the customers like dutch brothers… laugh joke be corny etc. That’s nice but when there’s a long line and people are waiting it gets old very quick. All in all its not dissapointing but not fantastic. But would still come back if dutch Bros wasn’t an option.

This location is one of the better black rocks. For the MOST part, the barista here are cheery, pleasant, and accommodating. They’re up for a good challenge, and don’t terribly disappoint when asked to concoct something not in ye olé generic american coffee handbook. There is an exception. One d-bag employee kinda ruins it for the rest by acting like… well, a dbag. I wish him well in life, but a flat-billed-cap alone won’t make a bad attitude and lack of interest in your job or customers like you. You also rob your awesome coworkers of tips by being a young curmudgeon. That unpleasantness aside! This site is solid, and offers not only a very functional drive through, but a nice modernist café setting with decent seating.

I’ve been wanting to try Black Rock for some time but it was never convenient and I’m wary of unknown brands of coffee. I generally only drink decaf and it’s rare to find decent decaf espresso. I found it today. I was welcomed warmly and the girl behind the counter was very helpful with menu suggestions. I had a large, decaf Iced caramel macchiato. You could not tell it was decaf. The coffee was nice and bold. I only wish I could have had the caffeinated variety; I can only imagine how great that would be. She was very interested in how I liked the coffee which was a first; I’ve never been asked that at any coffee shop I’ve been in. It didn’t even come off as disingenuous or scripted. We chatted briefly about espresso and I was on my way. Everything within view was spotlessly clean. I’d definitely come back.

We just moved to the area & this Black Rock is pretty close to us. I haven’t been inside yet, but I have been pleased with the drive-thru service. Always friendly staff & very happy with the drinks & consistency. I have had the mocha chiller, latte & Irish crème breve. All very tasty.

Honestly one of my top coffee shop choices. Love how the workers are always polite and keep you entertained as your coffee is being made. This place is awesome!

I am in Vancouver visiting a friend and went for coffee which was excellent! They had multiple dairy milk alternatives and the coffee was flavorful but not bitter. I decided to go back again today and to also get a breakfast sandwich. I was disappointed to find out that they were unable to heat up any food items. The thought of a cold egg, cheese and bacon sandwich was not appetizing so I had to go elsewhere. I would’ve given Black Rock 5 stars if they had a microwave to properly serve breakfast sandwiches.

Regarding this new, 11609NE76th St. Vancouver, WA98662 location: The building is like, 50% windows. That go from the floor to the ceiling. I would love to be able to use my computer in there and do some work. But the glare from the sun makes it impossible to see the laptop screen, no matter where I sit. People can’t see their smartphones or tablets, either, due to glare. I hope they have plans on putting some kind of *shades* on these giant windows. I’d come in there and drink coffee almost every day, if I could get computer work done. The times I’ve been inside, I rarely see anyone hanging out. The interior is large and had a lot of seating… but people aren’t using it. It’s not conductive to chatting, as the sun hits you from every angle and shines in your eyes. So there’s my two cents on the window situation at this location!. .. Oh, and I agree with others re: the«freestyle» way of ordering your drinks. They don’t have a pre-order drive-thru speaker phone thing. At every restaurant that has a drive-thru, there has been a *drive-thru speaker.* That’s what a drive-thru means. If the line is long at a Starbucks, I’ll still get in line, because they go faster due to pre-ordering. At BlackRock, I will pass by if there’s a line. I think the idea is to make the customer feel less impersonal, and get to chat one-on-one with the 20-somethings at the single window. But it feels forced and fake; I’m not going to become best buddies with a 20 year old. I feel forced into making small talk; they obviously are feeling forced to ask me about my weekend. It’s silly. So… yeah…put in a drive-thru speaker, and some darn shades! That place is mostly glass!

Came in on a nice sunny day in June wanting something cold to drink. I walk in to the beautifully air conditioned store and fantastically decorated. I ordered and was given my drink in a very prompt matter. What a great vibe! And a huge perk is this place is right down the street from my house.

Sat in the drive thru for 35+ minutes the line was not that long when I first pulled in. I was really looking forward to trying them. But this is ridiculous. The design of the drive thru seems to be flawed. First and last time here until they get the ordering figured out. And fyi when I FINALLY got to the front the«dude» was lounging on the drive thru ledge obviously trying to be «cool«then said he was sorry for the delay someone had paid in pennies. BS. For as long as we waited that was a pathetic excuse.

WOW… The wait is RIDICULOUS! I’m sitting in my car as I’m writing this review. I’ve been sitting in my car for 30mins and still haven’t ordered yet! They need to learn how to improve their customer service with the drive thru. They will NEVER get my business again!
