I’m almost hesitant to review it because it’s such a good secret shop stop for me. It’s buried in the back of a plaza, but it’s huge and the fruit and vegetables are always fresh and abundant and it’s cheap cheap cheap. They also have a lot of seasonal stuff-seems like it’s local because lots of their citrus still has the leaves on it. A great little tip – the Armenian meat/deli store on the same plaza has delicious fresh-baked pies behind the counter.

This place is an absolute gem for produce. The produce is always fresh and very, very cheap. I’m talking 2 bunches for $ 1 for their herbs, 2 for $ 1 onions, etc. I cook with a lot of vegetables so this place has cut my grocery bill in half! You should definitely stop by if you’re in the neighborhood.

Fresh 6oz pack of blueberries and large bunch of fresh red swiss chard: $ 2.18. Why, why do I shop anywhere else??? And oh yes, I paid with card, there’s no minimum amount

This used to be out front, but now they have moved to the back of the same parking lot of a new, larger location. It’s the best place for produce I’ve found in Van Nuys, short of a farmer’s market. Fresh, cheap, great taste, great variety. The fruit and tomatoes I get here are twice as tasty as the watery mass market ones at Ralphs and Vallarta, and cheaper too. Some very unusual local and/or Russian/Armenian stuff available. You can pay by card but the minimum is $ 5 or $ 10 I think. Lots of parking in the back.

This place is easy to miss. It’s a tiny store crammed with incredible deals on fresh fruits and vegetables from the ceiling to the floor. Not only is the place cheap, they have very interesting stuff. There are some very exotic finds, like yellow tomatos, Middle Eastern herbs, dried fruits etc.
