Target Optical

Wonderful customer service! Quick response! I ordered contacts over the phone & had them express shipped to my house. They arrived in 48 hours! The ladies helping me on the phone were very polite & detail oriented! I will order with them again!

Didn’t even know Target had an optical department! But glad we found it. Kimberly helped us and was very efficient, courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. There is a large selection of Ray-​Bans and other fashionable frames to choose from. We were there on a Wednesday evening and there was no wait.

I’ve never had a more frustrating experience trying to get glasses! The staff was nice, but very annoying. I went in saying that I want new glasses because i broke my old pair. I wrote that down on the paper saying that’s my reason for coming in. When I’m with the optometrist, she asks me if I want contacts. I tell her no, I only want glasses. She tells me that the contact exam will be $ 55, and I tell her that I’m not interested, I only want glasses. She proceeds to give me an exam, which seemed like a routine exam. At the end, I go and pay, and they said that she gave me the contact lens exam! I don’t get what made her think that I want a contact lens exam, but I had to pay it because she already did the exam.
I go back like 3 days later to pay for my glasses, and I get asked some more if I’m sure that I don’t want contacts. I tell them that I’m sure, so they say it will take a week to 10 days to get my glasses and that they would call me. I waited a week and called, and they said my glasses wouldn’t be ready for probably another three or four days because of problems in the lab. I called three days later and they said they’d see and that they’d call me later in the day. No one called me. The next day, I waited until late in the day, still no call. I go over there before the store closes, and guess what? They had my glasses! So I’m waiting for the girl to get my glasses, and while I’m waiting, another girl asks me FOUR TIMES in the course of TEN MINUTES if I wanted contacts! VERY ANNOYING!
THEN, I leave and put on my glasses. WORST PRESCRIPTION EVER! I can’t read the street signs and my old prescription is way better.
It’s been a week since I’ve got the glasses and I still can’t see the signs and my other glasses is still better. Worst experience ever! Would NOT recommend unless you want to get tricked out of your money and constantly berated as to whether or not you want contacts.

It takes more than just one good experience (in general) for me to write a review. I have to say, I have used Target Optical at this location twice in the past two years and have nothing but positive things to say. I have seen Dr. Kwak and Dr. Swanson. Both are very thorough and kind. They obviously care about their patients. Tracy and Brenda are fantastic. They really know the ins and outs of various types of insurance and can maximize your benefits as well as the promotions/​discounts offered by Target. The frame selection is decent and they aren’t shy about letting you know about the clearance frames. I walked in considering a new pair of frames and lenses. I also wanted to just browse the Rx sunglasses. Tracy and Brenda helped me walk out with 6 months of contacts, new frames and lenses, AND Rx sunglasses (polarized) for well under what I would have paid out of pocket for just the new frames and lenses.
They are also super sweet, funny, and honest. I will return to this location again and again.

Everyone is so helpful here. I just wish Target took more care of these employees as well as their own.

I called to inquire the hours and was told that they close at 6pm (on Sundays). I lost a screw in my glasses and really needed to get them fixed. I went in around 4pm and though there were people there, I was helped immediately. The young lady (sorry I didn’t get her name) fixed my glasses in a FLASH! I was there no more than 3 minutes… I even tried on a couple of Ray Ban sunglasses while I waited. They look like new! It was NO CHARGE for the service! Thanks again! I will definitely make an appointment here when it is time for my next eye exam!

Friendly staff, including Target Optical staff and Dr. Angela Kwak, who made my visit very comfortable.
Both Target Optical and the doctor’s office are clean and nice. Target Optical staff were courteous, easy to talk to, and very helpful without every being pushy on their services or products. One of the Target Optical staff noticed my sunglasses, and offered to adjust them and clean them out of pure courtesy. Such a small thing, but it speaks volumes on their customer service.
Dr. Kwak was so easygoing and nice. The exam was quick and straightforward. I didn’t feel rushed at all, but I also wasn’t sitting around for ages unnecessarily. She answered my prescription-​related questions in such a way I could easily understand and remember. She has a great sense of humor and is easy to talk to.
Eyeglass exams are $ 52; contact lens exams $ 88; optional dilation for $ 38 fee. After having researched eye exams in SFV, these were hands-​down the best prices I found. I called on a Friday morning for a basic eye exam and had an appointment the next day at 2:30pm.
Their weekday and weekend hours make it easy to get a quick, last-​minute appointment at a convenient time. Its location inside a large and nice Target is another convenience.
I hadn’t seen an eye doctor for 6+ years, and I can honestly say I had such a positive experience here that I will gladly come back for my routine exams and will never go anywhere else.

I love Target and all the stuff they have… this one has an optical and optometrist inside. It’s kinda hidden though… next to pharmacy on the first floor.
They have cute frames for people like me who need everything to be budget-​friendly. Ray Bans!!! I got those gold aviator ones that don’t cost an arm and a leg.
Parking is easy if you bee-​line for the 2^nd or 3^rd floor. Don’t even try to park on the first floor or you’ll be stressed.
There’s an eye doctor next door that’s available for a quick eye exam if you need one.
