Amazing pizza and pastas they have always been once of my favorite spots to have a slice of pizza with friends and family. Been coming here since I was a kid.

Great family dinner place food is amazing. BUTDONTORDERFORPICKUPORTO-GO. They will most definitely get your order wrong. Say no onions and you’ll get a mountain of them on your salad. Order spaghetti and there won’t be any cheese on the side. Lol. But if your dining in its great.

Classic old school Italian restaurant, been coming here for many years never disappointed you looking for a real good Pizza, ravioli and salad. Service is impeccable, just about everything is perfect.. Parking is a lil difficult, but definitely worth the wait

A true neighborhood restaurant, with red pleather booths, buttery low lighting, and a great, old school vibe. Pizza is delicious, and you can’t complain about their cold pitchers of beer. It is a place with heart and warmth and damn good za’. Nothing fancy, but everything just right, which is hard to pull off in LA!

Best pizza in the valley! Very good MidWest/east coast pizza. The only negative I can think of is no bacon and no delivery. Other than that it’s flawless! The old cut is cool to look at but the regular cut is way better.

Lidos is the best Italian in Van Nuys! All their food is delicious. Their pasta is made from scratch and their meat sauce is to die for! The interior is dimmed which makes it perfect for an intimate dinner! The service is always great as well. If you’re in the area make sure to stop by!

Top notch! Came in for a pizza lunch on new years day. The lady and I split a pizza. Our waitress was great, the food came out quickly even though the place was nearly full, and the food was delicious. Very cheesy pizza with a crispy crust. It was nice getting fresh sourdough rolls and butter for free with our meal as well. Nice touch.

I’m not sure where else you can find freshly made pasta in the Valley. If you love the taste of freshly made pasta, this local spot is a wonderful option. Lido’s is part of the Chi-Chi’s chain of pizza restaurants. I remember tasting the pizza at Lido’s a while back, and I didn’t think it was remarkable in any way. Service is really friendly and attentive. Definitely go for the pasta. Go for spaghetti and meatballs and the lasagna!!!

My boyfriend and I love, love, love, LOVE this place! Small restaurant with a chill and relaxing atmosphere. Food is always warm and delicious. Great service as well! Pizza — fresh and delicious! Meat Ravioli– bomb! Sandwichs are on point! Only thing is they need hot yellow peppers also.

Hands down the best pasta. It’s fresh, homemade and comes in all shapes. Pair it with the meatless marinara sauce = heaven. Sourdough rolls are amazing. Eggplant parmesan dinner is HUGE and incredible.

You have driven by this place for years and never knew it was there. GOTHERE. Food is authentic and service is excellent. Be ready to take ½ your food home as the portions are huge. The lasagna was marvelous and the eggplant also and the pizza is out of this world. 2 pieces of pizza and you have to call it a night. If you don’t want sauce to cover your food, make sure you tell them. OMG the bread. You always know you will enjoy your food when the bread comes out hot and its delicious. Enjoy. Don’t forget to put a bib on.

Loved the fettuccine alfredo! Portion size was appropriate enough so I wouldn’t over eat. The cream sauce was just that, creamy. Most sauces are watery and bland, but this one coated the noodles beautifully and I could’ve slurped it up with a straw. No wait time at all. Parking looked limited, but if you read the sign, there is parking in back.

Great old style Italian restaurant. Great lasagna and the table bread is sour dough. Make sure you tell the waiter/waitress to bring the bread warm. The anti pasta salad is also very good. All in all this place is delicious. Parking in the front but also in the back.

I’ve come to Lido for lunch only. It’s always busy and the kitchen really cranks out the food and I say that in a complimentary way. The pizza is good, the salads are good, their subs are real good and the service is warm, friendly and good. Their pasta is OK but not memorable. Once again I just love the old school booths and dark décor. When I walk in and especially when I walk out I feel like I was in the a Bronx and I really like that New York feel. Lido is a real good place to go if your in the neighborhood, feel like red sauce, want good meal and want to be treated well.

I would give this spot a 2.5 stars if possible. The best thing about the restaurant is the service. Although, when we first entered, we were completely ignored for a bit before someone came to seat us. Once seated, we did have a lovely waitress. We had a medium sized cheese pizza with onions, green peppers and pepperoni. We also had a small caesar salad. The salad was what anyone would expect at a restaurant. It was fresh which is always a good sign. The pizza was loaded with cheese but completely lacked in the pepperoni department. In the end, it didn’t taste too great and it was so heavy it upset the tummy a bit. It looks like they serve bread and oil to each table, but we never received ours so I can’t really rate the quality of bread. I wouldn’t return to this place.

Interesting experience– all the makings of a great restaurant but it’s missing something. I had heard a lot about the long standing reputation of Lido’s as being a great family owned restaurant. Visited for dinner with my boyfriend and had an okay experience. The menu is very persuasive– boasting their famous meat sauce«just like mama used to make!» I ordered the pesto fettuccine Alfredo and boyfriend ordered the meat ravioli. My dish was very clearly made with a fresh, house pesto and house made pasta but the dish was surprisingly very bland. The ravioli was the same– well seasoned beef but an overall bland flavor. We were kinda surprised the dishes were a bit of a miss. The pizza at the neighboring table looked good, so maybe we should have ordered pizza? We were really surprised that we didn’t get the 5 star flavor we were hoping to enjoy… might be back to give the pizza a try. Service was pretty good, so we might try again.
