Who’d of thought from what appears to be just a hamburger, hot dog, sandwich stand… but is so much more! Really nice people and Great Chicken Soup!

I’ve had to frequent the Van Nuys LA Building and Safety office so this spot keeps coming thru in the clutch when short and time. My fav item that I’ve tried is their big chicken teriyaki bowl with steamed veggies. Today I was there early so I tried a turkey sausage breakfast burrito. It did not disappoint. They are ²⁄₂ in my mind and next time I will try one of their dogs

Cheese Steak Sandwich. It was greasy and not exciting.
It filled me up, but left me sleeping for the day because of the heaviness.
The lady at the register yelled at me. Assumed I was young, and gave a negative vibe. Not feeling it, especially after I waited for her to get off answering the phone.

Hole in the wall joint that is efficient and no nonsense. Run by some tough Korean ladies, you best have your order ready when at the window and pay attention when your number is called. Seating on the side is nice. I always get the large bowl with beef and chicken, can’t beat the price. If you go, don’t jay walk, it’s across from the court house.

This place is delicious a bit pricey but yummy. Some times the price change for the same thing you order that’s the down side. One day you will pay 7 dollars foursome thing the next week you will pay 9 the following week you will pay 7. The prices are inconsistent.

I normally don’t like philly cheese steaks but tell them add teriyaki sauce. I didn’t have time to eat my lunch when I ordered it but even after an hr it was still good.

The Korean owner lady is mean overcharges does not give back correct change and will yell at you if you park in the parking spot

I ordered Onion Rings with ranch dressing, paid and patiently waited for my order. 15 minutes pass; I ask the cashier what’s going on, she says D’oh bcoz they haven’t even begun to cook my food. She apologizes, I cancel my order anyway and demand a refund, sheesh!

I work on the same block as this place and eat there often. Very friendly staff and very good food. They have the best steak and breakfast burrito in town. Thank you Happy Dogs

Love this place. Every time I go to the Van Nuys courthouse I get the pleasure of stopping here, it’s across the street!
Breakfast plate is fresh and warm. And delicious!

Pretty decent breakfast here if your on your way to court. Cash only, couple tables on the side to eat at if you want.

This place is supposed to have great teriyaki chicken bowls however, the teriyaki chicken bowl was underwhelming it lacked salt and was bland. But I guess its healthy. maybe that’s the selling point? I think food can be both healthy and good tasting so I wont be getting this again.
I had a cheeseburger a couple of months ago and it was pretty good.

Just went there yesterday during lunch break at court. Food is very good! A little pricey for a hole in the wall, but you will not be disappointed.

This place is ok, if you don’t mind waiting long for s little breakfast. Couse the waiting is their only trouble

I love Happy Dogs, this place got me through busy mornings in school, going to work, and on the run while training. Fast service and great healthy choices. My brother can devour their homemade kim chee. The owner also usually remembered me and my usual order. Try it!

so i came here after seeing bills closed for a bit until he recovers from hernia surgery. i got the hot dog, and for $ 6 i was ripped off. I mean i could of gotten the same at costco for much less! i mean really. and the thing was DRENCHED in mustard ketchup and mayonnaise, i could barley try the other stuff. its a great place for a quick fix if your really hungry but not a place for hot dogs. i ll come back and try their other stuff like the KBBQ it better be worth it!

I work next door and have Happy Dogs quite often. The staff are the most friendly staff possible. There chilli cheese fries are delishhh. The burgers are good, and my favorite is the terriyaki bowl. I tried the taquitos and as much as I love this place I have to say I will never be having them again. besides that it is very affordable and good spot to get some filling food!:)

Happy Dogs was the best part of my day of jury duty. It’s a small street shack walk-​up order window, and my Teriyaki Chicken Bowl (large) cost around $ 7, but it was really fresh and filling and I enjoyed it. They give you cardboard boxes to hold your food in which is cool I guess. There’s a lot of variety of food.
The negative: they charge 25cents for a cup of water :(
I just wanted some free water…
So instead I just ate my large chicken teriyaki bowl without any water and it was just okay.

This place really has some very amazing people working but the food can do for a little bit more seasoning, and cheaper prices for the refills! other than that I love happy dogs. Ps hairnets and gloves would be nice as well, just for the safety of our health!

Man at first I thought she was kidding cause she was smiling and laughing then I tried it again and she gave me that serious look like, «Oh your going to keep sticking your camera into my business huh? Let me tell you something!» *takes out knife ready to shank me* But she was nice. I was town with my experience today because the second times I’ve been here I had a good experience, but this time around I got a bad one… Just because of those piece of shit worthless low life’s that hang around that are. Fuck!!! He ruined, RUINED my experience.
So I get there, parking sucks btw, order a Veggie Burger combo everything goes cool. Get my food start eating. Notice the Burger has changed flavor the patty is not as crispy as before and the tomato, lettuce, and onions aren’t at all as fresh as before. The bun does remain the same. I like the boxes they hand the food in, recycling. Yeah anyway I am eating right when this… ARGH!!! passes by and looks at me, I’m like, «hmmm guess he was going to ask me for money, but left.» I still have this bad feeling inside that something bad was going to happen, or this was not the end of this. Yeah sure enough that piece of shit low life comes back and grabs the nerve to ask me for money, I’m right here eating, alone, enjoying my time with my food feeding the birds, and then this jerk off who clearly I can see is not in need of money asks me for some!
Yeah sure enough I am guessing he did not ask me for money in the first place because the dumb shit passed by to make up a story first so he can seem legit poor with a story to get money off. I reach in my pocket and hand him a QUARTER! Yeah that’s right muddafucker I am not afraid to NOT hand you a dollar, but a quarter, ¼ of a dollar. Dick head gets mad that I didn’t give him more and goes off mumbling. Oh yeah get this, he said that, «I need money, I am broke, I have a dentist appointment…» blah blah blah. I hurry and eat my friends, fries were fine btw, and leave. Totally ruined my morning there. (I went somewhere else to eat which made me happy :))
Okay so I finish and dump my trash then yes sure enough he is buying a burger and fries with a DRINK! See I knew? Moral of the story is, don’t go alone here, and don’t eat here if you are alone. Come here when there is a crowd, or cops. Good thing there is a government building in the front. But I won’t be returning, the food wasn’t that good anymore and with this experience it cancels out the last two good ones. Really not worth your time folks.
