Waffle House

We were staying at the Hampton Inn up the road and decided to come in for some breakfast-​for-​dinner with our four-​month-​old in tow. The staff was so welcoming to us and the baby, and our waitress checked in with us and refilled our waters more regularly than I’ve had happen at some much fancier restaurants. Then, when it came time to pay, she invoked every deal under the sun to make sure our bill was as low as possible. Big thumbs up for this Waffle House.

Very friendly. Greeted when you walk in the door. Fast efficient service and the food was good too.

I’ll probably never review another Waffle House again, but this was my first time ever going into one. So I’m going to review my experience rather than this particular location.
I sat front and center with a perfect view of the kitchen behind the counter. Yes, it’s kinda gross but the coffee was good and my fiesta omelet was good. Servers seemed nice and I was pleased to see all walks of life eating and working there.
Waffle House is A-​OK.

Came to the Waffle House while staying at the Holiday Inn because it was a 2 minute walk. I’ve seen all these Waffle House’s all over the place while driving here and my several trips to Atlanta. Hell I’ve even seen a Waffle House across the street from each other.
So as they say, «While In Rome…». The Waffle House is this area’s version of a quicker Denny’s. While the place is dated to 50’s flash back greasy spoon people talk about, the people here were friendly enough and quick on the grill. If you’re on a diet, I would look elsewhere.
So I got the Patty Melt and a Coke. Not the worst patty melt I’ve had, but certainly not the best. But to get everything for under $ 11 including tip and fill me up, I really can’t complain. I ate the whole thing even though it was a bit greasy for my taste buds.
Maybe next time I’m here I’ll try breakfast. Otherwise this place is what it is and you shouldn’t have high expectations. Come here for a quick cheap meal.
