The ladies here were very friendly and very helpful. The apricot roll is very light and delicious. The potato piroshki is good! Nice store.

The service at the deli was so much better before. They all were«honey, what can I get for you?» «Yes, moya horoshaya, what else?» that used to feel so warm and homie. This time the woman in the«already cooked food section» had to let me know by her attitude that she is in a rush and doesn’t really have time for the stupid things like serving me salads. I haven’t got Russian salads with mayo for a long time, trying to be healthy, and got just this one time for the Old New Year because I happened to be in the Valley. But may be it’s a sign I should just stop go to their«prepared food» corner. Just get my Borjomi and leave. Very not nice service in serving salads. May be she is a kitchen worker not a sales person, but so what? she was doing the job of the sales person, so be nice, smile and act as you happy to get everything what a customer wants.

OMG!!! You have to try this place out! Its an A+ Russian store. Breads are fresh every day, they bake it right there on the back. Selections of salamis and cold cuts is great. If feel lazy to cook — they have ready meals by lbs. You can not go wrong with cakes and pastries also. The place is a jewel to the area.

Pretty much the biggest garbage can called a Russian Produce store in Los Angeles. The food is terrible; the managers and owner do not keep track of freshness. The workers are not willing to help customers, expressing their right to refuse service to paying customers as frequently as possible. Do yourself a huge favor and go to Odessa Produce across the street. I am doing so and everyone should too.

I come here mainly for blini and red caviar. They have a pretty wide selection of meat, cheeses and prepackaged goods. Tons of black teas and Russian chocolates, as well as candy. There are better Russian deli stores in the Valley but this one does the trick if you are battling a craving and don’t want to drive to Hollywood.

Service at checkout is horrible as other people have stated. They seriously need to consider Tanya go. This place will be much better of without her. She is very unpleasant and rude. Deli selection is very limited compared to Rasputin.

This is the place where you can buy russian food. Mostly they import goods from Russia and other former soviet union country. Literally, you can find everything if you want to make russian dinner. If you don’t want to cook, I highly recommend to try something from the produce and deli selection. Everything fresh and delicious. By the way, someone mentioned earlier that veggies and fruits are cheaper than anywhere and it is true. Stuff are always nice and ready to help. Parking are always available in the front of the store.

5 stars for their amazing food! I love their cooking. My favorites are their poppy seed cake, round dark bread, peroshki, all the sweet pastries, eggplant spread, chicken cutlets. Everything is delicious and the staff is super nice! My favorite Russian store in the valley!

Great little grocery shop with fresh bread(eastern European style) baked daily. Ample amount of cheese and smoked fish selection.

This place will save you lots of money over Ralph’s and even Jons. Veggies and fruits are cheaper than anywhere and the quality is actually better. Not everything is organic but it’s bought local and is pesticide free. Authentic Russian cuisine as well as international dishes. Lots of prepared food like stuffed bell peppers, crepes, salmon, Greek salad, pierogi, mashed potatoes, dumplings and an entire section just for cakes. Nice deli with tons of meat and cheese options at a very reasonable prices. I got a pound of Gouda cheese for less than $ 5. All the basics like butter and eggs. High quality imported options that you can’t find in supermarkets. I really love it here! Parking in rear and in front. One of the workers always carries my groceries out. They are very nice and friendly. A must try!

Great service, love the kitchen! Home grandma cooking. Fresh produce, wide selection, plenty of parking in the back. If you love home cooking without actually cooking this is the place.

I am not particularly fond of this European deli. Small and crowded. The worst of all is the salds and deli section. The salads section is dark, and all the salads are covered with lids obstring the view of desired product.

This is a small store but it is highly specialized with Russian and Uzbekistan foods. There is a small smoked fish counter, a much larger cheese and smoked meats area… lots of frozen dumplings.. and the rest of the store is filled with produce and imported canned goods. In the back is a small room with a kitchen… serving up fresh baked breads, Russian salad bar… and a hot food steam table. The owner will be happy to help you choose a great lunch… and he speaks English very well unlike most of the others in the kitchen. Great place for its size… or for any size.

Tashkent is my go to place for homemade Russian /Uzbek food. Talk about feeding the soul. Their deli is full of goodies that will delight your senses. Samsa, mani, khanum and plov are some of my favorites. Even my Uzbek friends will shop here since most of these meals are really time consuming. Desserts behind the cash registers are delicious too. I especially love smetanik. Unlike other Russian stores, they are very nice to non Russian speakers. When I miss my babushka I go hear and comfort eat.

Helloooo Russian Food Heaven Although Tashkent is no longer in Russia but the capital of another country, Uzbekistan, it was a part of the USSR back in the day, thus we can still call it a Russian store. The store itself is not big at all but their selection is HUGE. They have everything you can think of and most items are prices and have a sign in English and Russian. This makes things easy for everyone. Other Russian stores should do the same as many don’t. Here are some of the things they have: fresh produce, freshly baked bread, cakes and cookies, frozen goods, an awesome deli with dozens of meats and cheeses, medicine and vitamins, Russian sodas, drinks, beers, ice cream, and candies, plus much more. The best part of the store is that has a kitchen that prepares all kinds of fresh salads, meats, rice, and dozens of traditional Uzbek/Russian dishes. Sold by the pound or count this is perfect for those living alone or have a family to feed and don’t want to cook, in addition to those catering an event. These guys can make large quantities of anything if needed, just call them, still fresh and delicious. Although the prices are a bit higher vs Ralphs and similar large food chains, the quality and unique selection makes it well worth it.

I first went in this store Saturday and I’m confident I’ll blow $ 100 here within the week. It is amazing! The surprises are packed in here so tightly that you have to move in slow motion ’cause you’re afraid you’re going to miss some other wonderful discovery. Their sausage counter is mind blowing. Pork and beef and chicken and I don’t know what in a wonderful confusion of sizes and styles. I ask for one sausage and Marina suggests another. «It’s my favorite» she says. I ask for one type of sliced pork. «I think you want this one. It’s better.» Why, yes Marina I do. She asks if I like bread then steps away from the counter and beckons me to the rear of the store and describes their pirogi. You’re making me crazy girl! If I eat everything you suggest I won’t fit into even the heftiest of my clothes. Marina was a dream. She had great suggestions and was enthusiastically friendly. If I ever have the power to nominate our next Russian Ambassador… Marina you’re it. Everyone back home gets a taste and days later my brother, now urgently needing some more, coined a term; Russian Meat Lust. Yeah, that pretty well sums up this place.
