I just stopped by. It was empty. One older gentleman was cutting. I showed him a photo of a fade. He said, «No. Can’t.» And then I stepped out. What is happening here? Really not sure but I won’t be returning. That’s for sure.

Your typical old fashioned barber shop like your grandfather might have visited in the 1950’s. For parking turn down the small side street Wilkinson Avenue and you’ll find an entire parking lot behind the shop, separate from the Pizza Hut parking lot. Had haircuts here 5 or 6 times in 2014, the last one in September 2014. The first few times were ok but went downhill from there. The last two times were pretty bad. The second to the last time he cut my hair ~WAY~ too short although I always tell them not to since I don’t like short hair. So I waited for it to grow out a bit and went back. This time I really made a point of telling him not to cut it too short, and asked him to layer it since it was thick on top. He made some kind of one layer cut all the way around about half way down so I could see a step on both sides. It looked a lot like what might happen if you put a bowl on my head and cut around it, or like the haircut Moe had on the 3 Stooges. After he finished cutting and using the blower to clean all the cut hair off he was standing behind me and ran his fingers back and forth across my hair from back to front. As he did that I turned my head and was about to ask him what he was doing just as his hand was going forward toward my forehead and he accidentally stuck his finger in my eye! Yes, his finger actually made contact with the white of my eye! Because his fingers were dirty and had whatever on them it really stung! My eyeball itched for a couple of days after that. While it was accidental it could have been completely avoided, he should not have been using his fingers, that is what combs and brushes are for. It took from September until January for my hair to grow out enough that I think I can go somewhere else and start over without the next place having to cut it too short just to erase the last bad cut from this place. Obviously not going back again, which is too bad because they were also conveniently walking distance away from my apartment.

Just got my haircut here. Great place. Super quick. No lines. Cheap haircut. Can’t beat $ 15. I will definitely be returning.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid on and off. I recently came here after a year of not coming and its the same good quick cut experience at has always been. However, they’ve got a new guy named Ivan. He gave me a really good taper and did it quick. Very friendly service and made sure with me several times what I wanted before hacking away. I highly recommend this spot if you want a good $ 15 cut that looks like a $ 25 cut.
