THISISFORTUNATELYORUN–(depends on what you’re drinking as you read) A REVIEWOFTHEREVIEWERSOFTHISBUSINESS. #SakurJapanIsntRobatayaRestaurant okaaaay. Contrary to popular Unilocal opinions I don’t find the staff here to be rude. I rather enjoy the precision of it all. Maaaaaybe they’ve not held in their exasperation enough, when folks after queuing for a few minutes get to the counter and hem and haw about what to have. Yeah I would have to work hard to hide my displeasure with customers too. Director! This is a well run machinery. Chicken or shrimp teriyaki, a few sushi rolls there’s not many choices. It’s a quick(healthier than Mac snack). White rice or mixed rice shouldn’t be that hard a decision customers! Get off your darn thrones, realize that not every spot is supposed to be fine dinning, stop bad mouthing this hardworking staff and business and rate them accordingly! It’s «quick», cheap,(Japanese) food. Geesh man! My food wasn’t what I would refer to as extremely tasty, it was just right. I always get white rice with a chicken and shrimp mix. I’ve been having this each shopping trip since my first visit to Green Acres Mall around 2013. I actually only just started checking in Aug 2015 as most times when I’m here, I’m REAL hungry and have no time to be on my phone. Of course I’ll be back. Buh how yuh mean! #GrowUpOrCookAtHome Oh and a queue at a fast food establishment is usually a good sign for me. It’s either cheap or good. Sakur Japan is both. Lova ya. The End.

Let me start off this review by telling you all, I’ve been coming here for YEARS. Since high school. These people have NOT changed. Their attitude, the way they speak to customers, it is IRRITATING. The moment they see an Asian teenager or woman, they feel the need to talk to us in their own language and laugh and try to, I guess, play with us? Joke around? But it feels more condescending and degrading, and it makes the food taste more sh*tty than it is. I have seriously tested this. They do not bother Asian men or men at all. They do not bother any women unless they are Asian. I shit you not. It is ridiculous that they do this even though I express my discontent AND even when I ignore them. Mediocre food. Typical place where you come for chicken teriyaki or shrimp teriyaki. They’re decent but make sure to ask for noodles and not all rice. It gets overwhelming. But honestly I’ll never come back here. I always expected them to grow out of it or change but they haven’t shown any progress in the past several years.

Food is great, I have to admit that. However the service is just plain awful. The little girl behind the register is soooooo RUDE is unbearable. Since my last visit I have made it a point not to visit anymore and it’s a shame because Sarku Japan used to be my favorite when I lived in Virginia. Oh and by the way, the other guys behind the counter are just as bad, they make it a point to talk to each other and not acknowledge the customer when making a personal request. But if they do actually pay a attention to you for that brief 2 seconds they certainly show their frustration for having to accommodate the customer.

Customer service is non-existent. The person taking your order greets you with«what do you want» No may I help you, what would you like, or even just a Hi. When you ask for a little bit of sauce, the other person preparing the meat looks at you very rudely. For a company that is within a mall food court and trying to engage customers to select your product over the many other options, they do a poor job greeting customers or at least engaging them to return. I will certainly not return and spend my money on them and I’ve already urged many others to avoid them also.

I guess if you hate your stomache or possibly your entire gastrointestinal tract, then this place is good. I feel sorry for people who eat here.

Good chicken teriyaki. Fast service and plenty of seating in the food court. But what’s the deal with the sauce? If I ask for more sauce, I don’t want a drop… why so cheap on the pour?

I’ve been to some of their other locations, but this was my first time at the one at Green Acres Mall. Tried their beef and shrimp combo, and for the price, it was very good. It’s located in a small food court, so be prepared to wait to find an empty table.

Cheap chain style Japanese. Don’t be expecting some big fancy menu. I always get the shrimp teriyaki with Lo mien and vegetables. Delicious. The line is usually pretty long but they move quickly. Cheap prices which is always a plus. The only thing you gotta watch is whenever I order the shrimp I always find a few chicken pieces in there. You may say, «yum! A treat.» But i don’t eat chicken so it gets pretty annoying. When they’re making your order just give them a heads up about that. Should be all good.
