Renamed: New Horizons Counseling Center.
1. The Psychiatrist is inattentive. He lies and pretends. I have to repeat everything. Then He claims I never said it. I requested a diagnosis letter by speaking to the Dr over the phone. He asked for unnecessary details about the addressee, which he didn’t put in the letter. He said I’d need an appointment. I came twice. I provided the unnecessary details on the addressee in writing at his request. 5 days later he called me and asked for the addressee again twice. Then he called and said he couldnt write the needed letter regardless of addressee. He also claimed he was held up because he needed confirmation from my therapist for my symptoms 3 different times. He works with her. How hard can it be to ask her? She asked to speak to him. no results. I suggested he speak to her 5 different times. She cornered him and met with him. He then claimed a therapist’s confirmation is never used. Good God, why the charade?
2. This clinic supposedly offers care coordinators. I have asked for those services in person, by phone, by voicemail. What I have received is the gift of being ignored.
3. One of the therapists made disparaging remarks about my religion so many times that I had to beg to be reassigned. My initial requests in person, by phone, and in writing were all ignored multiple times. I guess prejudice & racism is not important. So I had to «beg» and «plead» and finally submit an official complaint. Being allowed to submit that was a minor miracle.
4. I needed a letter before a major medical procedure, For months this was never provided. I pleaded in person, via voicemail, in writing… I even tried to file a complaint, but the office staff had me going in circles.
5. They told all Medicaid patients that medicaid was reducing our visit time from 45 minutes to 30 minutes. This is a flat out lie so that they can get more patients squeezed in. medicaid pays for 45 minutes.
6. The psychiatrist has refused to spend time to go over his own records. The therapist says she can’t help. The reception staff sent me to the office manager. I begged the manager to help me and to call me back. she agreed. I never heard from her again.
7. I asked the care coordinator to help, she sent me to someone else, who ignored my voicemails. I went back to the care coordinator. I asked her for help again. she assigned me to someone who has also been kind enough to ignore my voicemails
8. I asked for upper management and encountered the rudest, most unprofessional woman in the clinic. Nitza Hasis shouted, interrupted, scolded, and (best of all) said she didn’t have time to hear my complaint. I asked to schedule an appointment for when she has time. she refused. I asked to speak to someone else. she refused. I asked for a supervisor, she refused. She claimed to be the director, and claimed she had no supervisors (i must have asked 20 different times, in different wordings) All, while berating me, yelling, over-​talking me, uttering outright lies, and making false accusations out of her own unrelated statements. I hung up. But she then began a series of harassing phone calls til I threatened to contact the authorities.
Nitza Hasis is a danger to any patient she encounters. I am certain that her extremely unprofessional, condescending attitude and foul words will sadly send a patient into a mental hospital or even cause his/​her suicide. I pray someone stops her and saves the beleaguered patients at New Horizons Counseling Center before racist & cunning psychiatrists, lying staff, or the abusive Director Nitza Hasis ruin their psyche and their lives. It’s hard enough for emotional/​mental health patients without these issues. Patients often lack the emotional strength to move to a new unknown facility. Hence we stay in toxic relationships. But the clinic is not supposed to be yet another toxic relationship. God help us!

They are now known as New Horizon Counseling Center not that, that makes a difference. Therapists and counselors are sweet but a lot of them are leaving due to the facility and how rude the rest of the staff is. Office staff has the attitude that they are better than others and are so rude. The office staff does things they shouldn’t without the counselors and therapists knowing what they are doing. Office staff has a horrible attitude and they might want to work on changing this. One person told me that I had to see someone weekly when I didn’t need too but told me I had to and with an attitude told me «this is the reason I was hesitating having you come back to this office for any other appointment» I’m disgusted by the attitudes of the office staff at this place
