Kim Wong Chinese Kitchen

The food is not the best but what has turned me off from this spot is the attitudes when placing order over the phone.
They are very rude, especially one of the man working there.
Its become a last resort or I travel back to Queens.

Been using them for years. Never had a delivery order problem. I love their food, especially their Beef and Broccoli. I live in Rosedale and have never had a long wait for delivery. I would recommend you give them a try!

Tasty food. But note to the owner/​cook cover ½ cook chicken wings in the fridge and wrap all food when you put them in the freezer… Unhealthy but tasty!!! I happen to be in the area working and stopped by for food and saw what was going on!!!

Poor customer service… Just tried to order food and the guy on the phone was so rude with me I got so disgusted and cancelled my order. Like really??? Why are you arguing with a customer over having the food come to me in separate containers. Your not eating it so why are you worried about it. soooo disgusting, never again!!!

Their general tso chicken is the best I ever had. Perfect amt of favor and heat. I was a little disappointed that the prices weren’t consistent with the all the menus. Com listing. The delivery took about 45min to 50mins. Granted it’s their 1^st time delivering here. Overall satisfied. I will order again.

I don’t write too many reviews (I’ve actually only written one other) but I felt compelled to contribute my two cents to mitigate what imo, seems like an unfair rating. This is my go to spot on a cheat day when I’m feeling a little cheap and famished, or when I’ve run out of options at work. As far as Chinese goes, I think this place nails it. Freshness and great taste is pretty consistent. This place has the best sesame (white meat) chicken that I’ve ever had: This coming from a Chinese food veteran. I’ve tasted a variety of things and nothing has ever disappointed. Out of all the times I’ve ordered they probably made one error. The delivery men are always nice. That pretty much wraps it up, I mean what more could you want.

I have been frequenting this little chinese restaurant for more than 15 years so my review might be a little biased.
The service has always been quite friendly even with the difficulties in communication. They do speak English but sometimes gets hard to understand but that doesn’t mean it should deter you. After many years I have learned that it is much better to call in advance instead of just walking in to order food. They don’t have much seating (they only have two tables to actually sit at and some chairs to wait for your order) but the food is both tasty and quick. Most orders only take about 10 – 15 minutes to prepare, even shorter times when they aren’t busy. For the amount of food and the price attached to it you truly can’t beat Kim Wong.
My favorite thing about Kim Wong is their lunch specials. You get a ton of food for a very low price.
My favorite dish is the House Special Mei Fun. If you haven’t tried it I truly recommend it.

Ordered from here several times over the past year … food usually arrived fairly quickly except the last time took over an hour and a half … called and the person who answered said very busy then hung up … food is average at best … some days better than others

Really, below par food, they do not cook with love and pride. Not worth the visit or your money.

Great Chinese food. Everything I’ve tasted from here has been amazing. I recommend the sesame chicken or spare ribs. Employees can be rude and it’s better walking in to order because the person on the phone won’t understand you most of the time.

The best Chinese food ever! Delivery came in about 15 minutes. It was insane how fast the food came. It was piping hot too!

I’ve been visiting Valley Stream for 10 years and this place never disappoints, we get delivery and the food is always piping hot, fresh and delicious. Never had a disappointing experience. From the Spicy Chicken, General Tso’s, to the Chicken Dumplings and Fried Cheese puffs, everything is excellent. The food isn’t greasy and the portions are more than generous.

Ok seriously for chinese food, this place is excellent. I am unbiased here as well and let me explain.
I grew up in Valley Stream, my father taught up the block from this «Location», not this particular ownership. That being said, the «Old» owner/​management had the BEST, no shit, hands down, Hot and Sour soup… you or anyone you could know ever had and that is not a lie. My father used to bring home two quarts of it for my brother and I on frequent occasions, and we’d eat the whole thing up in half a day, or a sitting! Ok, now to the depressing part of the story, the place closed when I was about 20, or was bought out, whatever… and I went on a decade long quest to find this Red, delicious soup. I, without any exxageration got a hot and sour soup at EVERY SINGLE CHINESE PLACE I WENT TOO FOR OVER 10 YEARS, in search of this Perfect soup I grew up with, and was ALWAYS disappointed. My now wife, used to make fun of me because I’d order it, take one sip, and push it aside… it was really an obsession!
Long story short, the same place, a.k.a This Place (by chance or some secret recipe found in a ceiling tile) now has the golden ticket of hot and sour soup, and I BEG ANYONE to challenge it≠)
Seriously, all I talked about was the soup, but the food is excellent overall… they NEVER use MSG, and I enjoy it as you will if you live in Western Valley Stream. (Cuz lets face it, unless you are a lunatic like me in search of the perfect hot and sour soup, your never gonna check this place out, although if you were a true Hot n Sour Soup lover like me, you’d drive 100 Miles for it!!!)

I try this Chinese restaurant lastnight and got the bqq ribs combo with pork fried rice that come with a egg roll… I enjoy my meal and it was very tasty. I will come again…
