Well there is another NEW owner here, and the menu has changed again. The new owner is really nice but the food taste completly different, the food no longer is fresh, and that translated to taste, my fries were soggy, and while pieces of chicken were big they had no flavor at all, Im sorry to see the previous owners go, I will probably give this place one more chance, but for now 2 stars is what it is!

The new ownership does not have the one thing that made this establishment worth visiting… the jalapeño chicken wings. Bring it back to the menu if you ever want to see a better rating.

I was never here before the new ownership and thought I’d give it a try. The sign inside read«organic, USDA daily inspection, free range grass fed chicken». And they fry it. That’s like gramma killing a chicken on the farm in the morning and serving it that night. Since it wasn’t that much more expensive than regular frozen fried chicken I didn’t I had anything to lose. This place is delicious. The chicken was seasoned very well. Spicy but not too spicy. The 5 star flour makes a good batter. But what got me was that I didn’t feel like I had something«bad for me» even though it was fried. Not too greasy, and very meaty! I had to try the catfish next. It’s not«grass fed», obviously, but it was wild caught. Again, a great piece of food! Everything just tasted so fresh and clean(I know, Outkast). The other chicken place I went to in Vallejo with a similar name had bad grease and batter. The chicken tasted like fish on the outside, which meant it was re-used oil. That was not good. This place is light years better. The only downside is that you can’t expect to walk in and get chicken in two minutes. It takes 10 or so minutes because they cook to order. That’s not a bad thing, unless you are in a hurry. I recommend either calling ahead or preparing to wait. But trust me, the wait is worth it.

With the new owners, this place is back and better than ever! Chicken is fresh and never frozen! Excellent grub! Prices are fair and trust me well worth it! Open from 11am-9pm everyday!

This place just re-grand opening on 5÷20÷15 and its under a new ownership so I decided to give it a try since I am in the area… after ordering some fried chickens, gumbos, mac and cheese and greens I must said their chickens are taste a lot better than other chicken places. and I found out they use fresh un-frozen chickens that are also range free. the spices in the chicken are done to perfection, I even eating some left over today and it still taste very good. I will return when I am in the area, and I think this new owner will do good here.

Terrible terrible terrible. First time coming back here since it open a few years ago. It reminded me of why I never went back. The chicken was blah. No flavor what so ever. Seriously, it was like as I tried to make fried chicken myself. And I have no clue how to make fried chicken. I never tasted such bad food. I ended up tossing my chicken legs after just a bite or two. The service was ok, nothing special.

This is NOT Louisiana Fried chicken. Louisiana Fried chicken is a chain restaurant with a distinct batter and flavor and this is NOT it. The chicken was barely seasoned and the fries were soggy and over cooked. I will not go back. I will have to wait until I’m in Los Angeles again to visit the Louisiana Fried Chicken on Manchester.

Mediocre food and HORRIBLE service. Idk if the cashier is nervous or just really stupid but she didn’t know the menu and over charged us for a few things. I don’t recommend waisting your time or money here.

I really enjoyed their hush puppies and fish sandwich. It was very flavorful. Workers were friendly and helpful. So many options.

This place used to deserve 5 stars… but I’m not sure what happened because I can barely give it 2 stars now… The only thing from our dinner the other night that could really be stomached was the mac n cheese… but even that had to be re heated 10 min after picking up our food. The chicken the last few times has been over cooked and the size of the breasts makes me think twice about paying extra for them. Some time u can’t tell the difference between the thighs and breasts. The last time we got a large order of chicken… it usually re heats well… but we couldn’t even eat it in the first place, way too much salt and too over cooked. I cook better chicken then that! The greens were ok… not seasoned like usual. There were a bunch of bones in them. The mac n cheese was cold. The only other thing that was good was the cake and they send out for that! Also, make sure you check your oder… out of the last 3 times we got our food home it was only complete and correct 1 time. The girl behind the counter is nice… she just needs to pay attention more to what’s going in the bags… she took the order she should check it twice! The prices are too high as well… especially when your getting partial orders, burnt chicken, salty chicken, cold mac and flavor less greens!

The wait was too long for 2 pieces of chicken and a mac and cheese. It took almost half an hour. The mac and cheese was really good I give it 2 star on the rating but the chicken I think I would choose Popeyes chicken over this.

ehh… came here i believe a week ago because i was craving some fried chicken and our friend lived around the corner, SO i ordered the breast, wing & drum meal… it almost tasted like i cooked it :( I was starving so i thought it would’ve been something amazing at least. i was hoping something like Popeye’s, i got nothing close to it. Although the mac & cheese was pretty good. Guess that will be the last time i come here… and they forgot my fiancé’s extra breast.

WORST costumer service ever!!! We ordered the chicken only, since all the Unilocal reviews say the sides were not good. Took 20 minutes to get our order. To top it off, my order was wrong(WHOMESSESUP A CHICKENORDER). The lady was rude and would not fix our order when we explained it was wrong. Since we waited long enough we just left. The chicken was not worth the wait. It was ok but you’re better off going to KFC or Church’s in Vallejo. Defiantly not coming back!

I have a love/hate relationship with fried chicken. I love it because it’s good. It’s soooo good. It’s «you feel it for the rest of the day» good. SO good! I hate it because it’s the ruiner of a healthy eating lifestyle. Fried food in general is bad for you if you overdo. It’s «you feel it for the rest of the day» bad if you go overboard. SO bad! Still, on occasion, you can catch me scarfing down some fried chicken. In Vallejo, you have your major chains. The KFCs, Popeye’s, and even Church’s(for those that don’t fear the hood.) Then you have this lesser known chain, spread sparsely throughout the US: Louisiana Fried Chicken. Ugh, it’s good. It’s really really good. The chicken is fried up perfectly. It’s seasoned just right too: not salty and not bland. Has that just right amount of flavor. Pair these with some hot sauce and you might as well call it a day. The sides are great as well. Fries, mac n cheese, even the roll, all good in my book. They make great compliments to the already pretty awesome fried chicken. The service here is good too. It’s fast and friendly. I wish I could sit down and eat it right there in the establishment, but there’s no tables or such. This place is pretty much order and go. No biggie though. Out of all the chain chicken places, I gotta say that this place just might be my favorite. Popeye’s kinda sorta ranks up there, but I feel that Louisiana edges them out just a tad bit. Yeah, many a healthy eating lifestyle will be broken upon biting into that juicy, yummy, fried goodness.

I was craving for some fried chicken, and I happened to be in the city of Vallejo. Unilocal goes racing through my mind, and Louisiana fried chicken pops up. OH boy, take me to the hood why don’t you? LOL Homeless man sitting down in front asking for change, and the shop is literally a whole in a wall. I don’t discriminate but come fearless! Establishment-clean, Customer service-plesant, wait time-10mins. The chicken: ehh A-ok My chicken was very crispy and that’s about it. Nothing to rave about. I did like my coleslaw, very different from KFC’s coleslaw. The biscuits were hard =(but the food was cheap! you know what they say«YOUGETWHATYOUPAYFOR»

After reading all the reviews, you’d surmise that this place is in a rough area. Growing up around here, it doesn’t bother me. What I can say is that the chicken is moist, juicy and delicious! They fry it up fresh when you order. So it’s a good idea to call ahead so you don’t have to wait. The young lady cashier that has helped me is super sweet and friendly. The cook is nice too. Pick up a to-go menu — the sticker says the prices are special for this location. They have a ton of items on their menu — can’t wait to try more!
