This place is SOOOO much better than Seapood City! It’s small, but is clean and the produce is well stocked and not rotting. Prices are also better than Seapood City from what I’ve seen. There are fish tanks in the center of the seafood and meat department in the back, which has live lobsters, crabs, and catfish! Seapood City ironically doesn’t have live seapood… I also love the little Phil House which has good Filipino food a la Panda Express style. The two item combo is only $ 6.50 and is enough for a days worth of meals!

This location is smaller than the one on Springs Road, however it’s cleaner and not so frightening. The shelves were fully stocked, the produce was fresh and organized, and their meats/seafood was plentiful. We arrived around 11 in the morning and were looking for fish for our sinigang. We noticed some of the fish in the seafood department were thawed in the ice and some had pools of blood in their bellies. When we asked a worker, he brought out a few frozen fishes for us to choose from but I couldn’t shake what I had seen.

Island Pacific Supermarket is one of the smaller ones. only Phil House offers take out food inside, unlike the many vendeor present at other stores. ‘ clean store with all the essentials: live seafood, fresh meats, canned groceries, produce, spices, noodles, sauces, etc. buys: Boy Bawang Cornick .75, slightly spicy sugo garlic abodo peanuts(1.49) –both is loaded with msg, palm oil, i.e. not so healthy. 2 stars for unhealthy snacks(most Phillipine snacks are take outs: — –Phil Hous a plus, scoop and go –healthy food choices available, choose discrimately. 3.5 stars for the market. –Island revitalizes a dead commercial center here.

This place is too small. But it’s a huge convenience to a lot of Asian or just Asian food lovers in general that live around rancho Vallejo or even AC. My hubby always buy their to go food here. and they don’t have as much selection as Seafood City. As far as prices I have yet to compare.

This is the closest asian grocery store near Napa that I have found, and to be specific, Filipino grocery store. Its on the smaller side compared to the ones you find around the rest of the Bay Area. But prices for dry and canned goods, on the lower side than many other chain grocery stores. I would skip most of the produce(not very fresh regardless of the price. Meats and seafood are cheap though and you get cuts that you normally wouldn’t see. So if you’re an adventurous cook, and/or like Filipino food, go here. Also, try their hot food counter call PhilHouse:

Came here on a weekday. The produce is not fresh and maintained. It had a lot of spoiled, wet packages. When you pick it up, brown juice would drip down. The meat had opened packages sitting out unattended and other meats that had brown spots on them. We bought a package of pork butt that was not cut correctly and it had to be trimmed when we got home. They also had packaged it, hiding all the fat side down so you couldn’t see it. See my pic of an example of how much fat you get. On the positive note, they have a variety of basic canned, packaged foods and frozen if you need to run to the store. The fish looked decent enough and they had live Dungeness crab. The food ready made in the front looks okay but I wouldn’t try it.

Since I discovered this Filipino supermarket recently, it’s been a «must stop» on my way home from wine country. I usually stock up on dirt cheap produce, chicken longanisa, and random Filipino goodies that I miss from my parents house. The prices are low and the store is very clean.

I drop by to pick up a few dozes of oysters, so I found this new place on Unilocal. It turns out that they only have around 3 dozes out at the counter. I was a little disappointed because there are much to choose from. Overall the oyster is pretty huge for the price of $ 0.99 each, which is a pretty good deal consider the size. The large selection of seafood section located at the back of the store turns out to be very impressive. King crab legs, salmon, oysters and many other types of fish all looks very fresh and cheap! A whole pack of chopped up salmon with skin are around $ 6, perfect for cat lovers. Overall the market is new and clear, with a hot food section at the front of the store, includes Chinese bbq, strew pork, and the regular stuff. There are a lot of Chinese and Thai food as well, not a bad choice at Vellejo!

New supermarket, could be the reason for the high review, but hopefully they will maintain their level of prompt service and cleanliness. You can also get a cheap /quick meal at the asian fast food restaurant right inside the market. Also had a lot of free samples, from hot dogs to ice cream, so it kept the kids happy!

The place is a great addition to this area. It was Golden City buffet before and now Island Pacific. The place is clean, well-stocked and reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and nice. Seafood area is well maintained. There’s a Phil house turo turo style food. Nice staff there. Food has decent price and taste okay. $ 6.49 for a combo with 2 menu plus rice or pancit is a good deal. Residents near this location is lucky, no need to go further at seafood city or island pacific in Springs Road.

Just opened last Thursday 5⁄14. Not too busy considering. There is a decent produce area with a lot of Asian specialty and regular produce. To make those favorite dishes. As you come around to the meat/seafood section in the back, there is a variety of fish and seafood on tables of ice. Nice and fresh! We were coming here for specific items for a dish my uncle was going to cook… And we found all we needed. They have an in-house Fast Food Deli«Phil House» with many Filipino faves. Only disappointment was being deferred to 2 different places in line to pick out my choices that are under the heat lamp. We got the Chicharron Chicken Skin. And the little Fried Fish.(mom’s fave). And every one enjoyed it. It’s clean in there. And hopefully it remains that way. Glad there is an Island Pacific in American Canyon. We shall return

This is a great addition to the Rancho Square shopping center. This market has all of your seafood amenities to serve the northern Vallejo and American Canyon/Napa areas. This is a full grocery store with your everyday items, sauces, herbs and spices, fruit and vegetables, dairy, seafood, pork and beef, Filipino frozen goods, rice, and freshly cooked ready to eat Filipino foods. The location is smaller in comparison with the two other major Filipino grocery chains in Vallejo, but this store also serves a smaller community of north Valllejo/American Canyon. Definitely worth checking out and support local business pls.
