I still love Hong Kong Chef II, but I have to say my last couple of visits haven’t been quite as good. I think in part it is because I keep forgetting that their pork dishes have that shredded pork instead of larger pieces – I’m not really a fan. Keeping the stars high because this place really is a bargain for the area, and the food – if you pick wisely – is pretty good.

I eat here often for lunch and dinner, typically take-out(the interior décor is nothing great). The portions are generous. The special deals are a good value purchase. The food is above average. My kids like the food, which is good. It can be a little greasy, and the dumplings are a little heavy for my taste. But I come back as it’s the best in the area for quick take-out.

Even though they took an hour and ten minutes to deliver our food, I have to say it was amazing! So tasty and better than any Chinese food in the area! I might venture in next time and check it out.

Me and my coworker has been here a couple of times for lunch and this Chinese place is really good. The food is definitely worth the price and food taste just like a Chinese spot I would find in the Bronx

Moving from the city it was hard to find a great Chinese restaurant in Westchester until I found this one! Great food fast delivery!

Decent chinese food and they have never messed up my order! Thats a plus in my book! Prices seem fair, but for some reaSon their egg rolls keep getting smaller and smaller

Not very good. Ordered Phở for delivery. I could tell the lady wasn’t understanding my order on the phone. I served a Mormon church mission in Hong Kong, so I spoke to her in Chinese and told her my order just to be sure she would get it right. Instead of phở, the delivery arrived as Kung Po Beef. Not sure how that happened. When I handed the delivery guy the money, he literally ran off my front porch(I’m not making this up) before I could check the food and see it was the wrong(and conveniently more expensive?) order. It almost all seemed deliberate. To top it all off, the food wasn’t good, even for fake American Chinese food.

I was not quite sure whether to give 3 or 4 for this review. In terms of the taste of the food, it was 4 or 4.5, but it really is not a good place to eat in. We ate in because we were hungry, but this is really for carry-out kind of place. There is no real plates and bowls. The lunch specials were really big portions and the food was tasty. The food comes with big portion of soup(you can choose from several types of soups) and a big spring roll. Big portion of rice and the food — whatever you chose — we had shrimp in a lobster sauce, shrimp with mixed veggie, orange chicken, sesame chicken. We also ordered beef Lo Main which was pretty good, too.

Good Chinese food is hard to come by in Westchester. After reading the paeans of other Unilocalers, I ordered a family dinner and headed over for pickup. Greeting was friendly and the order was just being finished. Of our three starters, boneless spare ribs was the only one I would repeat. A generous portion of chewy, tasty pork not too fatty. A shrimp egg roll needed a bit more zing. The big disappointment was the dish of sesame noodles. There was no discernible sauce, only a light sheen suggesting we were not eating plain noodles. Sesame flavor was missing. i added some chili oil to make them palatable, and I might try some tahini on the leftovers. The meal was redeemed by the main courses. Better than average shrimp with black bean sauce featured a generous portion of shrimp but could have used more garlic and ginger. Tender beef with broccoli was well seasoned. Sauteed string beans with pork were quite savory but featured slices of red-cooked pork not the usual ground pork. A bit of heat was needed. We spent about fifty bucks and received enough food for five or six depending on appetites. All of the food was fresh and wholesome, so I would go back, but I’ll choose different starters.

I’ve only ordered delivery. Very good western-style chinese. Definitely my children’s favorite in the area of those we’ve tried.

Friendly! Fast! Good bang for the buck! Having just moved to the area from NYC(where there are tons of Chinese food spots), it’s a great place to fill that void! Friendly staff, easy to place a to-go order and grab it after you get off the train, and a large selection of items. A big positive are the large amounts of fresh veggies they use in their dishes and the nice crispy-fried options! They also do deliver, but most get it to go as I’ve also never seen anyone really eating in the dining area.

Surprising good Cantonese restaurant located on the corner of Broadway in the downtown area of Valhalla. Lunch specials are a deal, $ 5.69 gets you free soup and egg roll or vegetable roll and a free soda, which they will let you sub with a bottle of water. They also have a $ 7.69 combo platter. The restaurant never seems busy inside and the tables never seemed filled up. Their business is takeout. the downtown of Valhalla is only a few blocks. They have a really good shrimp lo mein, with perfectly cooked chewy egg noodles and strips of Chinese cabbage and loaded with shrimp in a sauce that is not laden with oil. But alas, their idea of a pint is the small foil tin that isn’t quite a pint. Their shrimp egg rolls are excellent so that even when I don’t have business in Valhalla I think of them. Crispy, loaded with whole small shrimp and just remarkably tasty, these crunchy delights are best eaten hot out of the fryer, and loaded with duck sauce. A nice place to stop by for decent Chinese food if you are in the area.
