If you want to overpay and deal with a stubborn general contractor, then Nick is your guy. You will notice the other reviews are old. Maybe he use to be reasonable. We had him do a small bathroom this last summer and it was a bad experience. We were just replacing a bathtub with what was supposed to be a custom shower and replace the cabinets and lighting. Nick put in a tiny prefab shower base (the smallest allowed by code) that most normal size people couldn’t fit in, and there was plenty of room for a larger shower. If you have ever tried to fit into a tiny shower with your shoulders hitting the wall or glass door, you know how big this was. We made him rip it out, which cost us both time and money, and he came over and yelled at me for complaining about it. As far as costs go, we just had our master bathroom done, which is three times as large, for about the same cost. After enduring his yelling and having to re-​do it, the bathroom came out nice in the end, but with a lot of stress, too much time, and over budget. If you do use him, do two things; have him provide you a design with measurements to ensure you know what you are getting into, and pull permits.

Nick and his team couldn’t have done a better job with our kitchen. Everything you hear and read about contractors do not apply to Dannick Design. Fair price, punctual, clean, showed up when they said they would, bent over backwards to accommodate our numerous changes/​modifications, and the work itself was impeccable. When the inevitable problem or issue came up, they were quick to address and resolve it without hesitation or attitude.
Our kitchen is now our pride and joy, and the only room in the house we want to live in, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Nick and his team for any of your home improvement projects.

We are thrilled with our new kitchen that was designed and constructed by Dannick Design. We interviewed a number of contractors and were impressed by Nick’s portfolio and his commitment to getting the job done on time.
From the planning process to the completion of the kitchen, Nick and his assistant Debbie were hands on and gave us valuable advice about how to achieve a functional kitchen that worked for our family. They sat down with us for several hours to walk through the plans and we went through a number of revisions with them. During demo and construction, Nick visited the site every day to monitor the progress. The team was helpful in selecting the finishes and suggesting different options. They were very responsive and always available if we had questions or concerns. There was never an issue with them not getting back to us, which is rare in the contractor world.
Our entire remodel was completed in 5 weeks, which was less than we anticipated. The subcontractors (including the electricians which Nick brought in to upgrade our electrical) were fantastic. I found the entire crew to be very professional and detail-​oriented.
Our kitchen turned out beautifully, and we would certainly recommend them to anyone that is considering a kitchen or bath remodel.
