Awful!!! I was actually looking forward to eating here but it’s awful! Taco Bell is so much better!!!

The food is good here… when it is prepared as ordered. This has happened 3 different visits here. And when I told them they made a mistake, they look at me like I killed their first born child and huff and sigh as they correct it. I ordered 3 chicken tacos, with chips and salsa as a side this visit. When asked what I would like on the tacos I stated cilantro, cheese and that’s it. The young lady then threw onions on them and pushed along the tray. I never asked for onions and in fear of pissing off the people behind me I let it be. The line takes way to long to get through and we all have already been waiting 10 minutes. And the price for a «combo» with the 3 tacos, chips, salsa and a regular drink…$ 17.92!!! Complete ripoff especially since there is barely any chicken in the tacos, and having unwanted onions! Plus they don’t clean their trays they use to prepare the orders. They just smack them on their leg to knock food off and throw paper down to start the next order. Unfortunately I will have to visit the one in Saugus instead when I want Chronic Tacos. Service is horrid.

2.27.16: My sister told her about Chronic Tacos. We were already in the area and decided to give it a try. I ordered the salad with carne asada. The salad was filling and it was good. My husband ordered the small burrito and a fish taco. The burrito was also good and flavorful. The fish taco was just ok. I’ve tasted better. There really isn’t any uniqueness about this place though. This location has lots of room and tables. Located in a shopping center with plenty of parking spaces. Clean dining area. Ladies room needs help.

I like the food here. And I have never eaten in here, but ordering to go is seriously a nightmare. They forget things on a constant basis, the order is almost never correct, and the staff always seems annoyed when we point this out. Today we placed the order online, went in 45 minutes later they had not even started making it yet, then needed our order again because they said their online orders were not working. Why couldn’t they tell us this when we FIRST walked in and said we’re picking up an online order. People came and went faster! Disappointing!

I went to this establishment with high expectations and came away very disappointed. I had missing items that I paid for left out of my bag, and the food did not taste well at all. For the cost of the food I expected a lot more. This was my first and last time here and I will not recommended it to anyone.

Love the fish tacos baja style. It’s ruining my workout going there after the gym all the time. Hope they get ABC license soon. Loved when the old location had Stone on tap!

Love the Orange County Chronic Tacos, our family was so excited that one was coming to Santa Clarita. Definetly did not disappoint. Great fish tacos, shrimp burritos and beef tacos. Employees are awesome very friendly and very clean

The food is good, but the service from the people is horrid. They ignore you and don’t care if the lines are held up. Also, when I went to pay, I was 24 cents short and he wouldn’t let it go.

I was there on Black Friday. Great food and great service. It’s in the same shopping center as smart and final. Lots of parking.

Absolutely, This place is a must go. I rarely spend time writing reviews but this is one of those rare places where the food and the service are both five stars, «ten stars all together». In a one, two, three I had in my hands the most delicious dinner, soft tacos, burritos and the fantastic Chronic Fries. See you soon Chronic Tacos.

Friendly staff… easy menu and order process. Now… the food… everything looked super fresh. I had the tortilla soup(delish). I also had a chicken taco in a tortilla… best taco in a while. Love that you can select the ingredients as you go do the line. So, I had mine with mucho lettuce and cilantro. It’s a quick serve restaurant in a very relaxed environment. Kind of reminds me to MOD Pizza but with«Fresh Mex» style food. Prices a tad higher than similar places, but worth it because the ingredients seem to be high quality. Looking forward to going back… maybe I’ll bump up to 5 stars.

Chronic Tacos Saugus(CT) has been a favorite food place for me, my family and friends for nearly two years. The food gets five stars, but the service gets one star — hence my three star rating. CT serves food in a similar fashion to Chipotle where burritos, tacos and bowls are made from tortilla to meats to toppings down the line of ingredients. This is a pretty efficient system as long as ALL the ingredients are on the line. However, as soon as someone orders something that requires the back kitchen(like eggs, fajitas, fries, etc.), all of that efficiency flies right out the window. Employees can’t handle the chaos that ensues and customer waits get stupid long. Also, they have a loyalty program that often does not communicate with their POS system.(Or the staff are not properly trained on how to connect to the program.) The attitude of the staff is generally good, but not always competent. It’s the occasional lack of competence that breeds customer frustration. In summary, the food is great, but be prepared to wait when you or someone in front of you orders something that requires the kitchen. The loyalty program is hit or miss.

DONOT eat here! They don’t give a shit about the customers. This place has the worst people working here, they don’t care and have terrible customer service. We came in to have dinner on a Sunday around 6:20, ordered our food and were instructed to wait and they would let us know when our burritos were ready to come back over. We sat down, 30 minutes goes by and I go over to see where our burritos are and why they are taking so long. They didn’t even start making our burritos. We waited for nothing and would have waited longer if I didn’t come over and see where our food was. So they started making our food and the burritos were ready in under 2 minutes, but at this time we are fed up and want a refund. Instead of apologizing or trying to make it right, they seem indifferent about the fact that we waited so long. They didn’t care and were just another order to them. We then waited as one of the workers rang up 2 more people’s orders instead of refunding our money immediately, we waited another 10 minutes until she finally got to our order and couldn’t find what we ordered. She refunded our money but not the drinks and didn’t apologize for any of it, and didn’t give a shit. We will not be back! We didn’t leave until 7:10.

Glad I got that out of the way… Food was just okay. Actually I should have gone to the habit now that I think about it.

Line. Moves. Much. Too. Slowly. The owner needs to visit Chipotle and figure out how to staff a serving line. Food is tasty though.

I’ve been to chronic tacos before and this exceeded my expectations for this brand new location. Same great food but much newer décor and attitude. The employees here are extremely friendly, greeting every new customer that walks through the doors as they prepare food. I got the two chicken tacos which I made into a combo(which adds a drink and chips for $ 2.49). The chicken and all the other proteins are superbly prepared and seasoned. Another big pro of my food was the salsa. Chronic tacos easly has the best salsa for any build-your-own restaurant and is obviously authentic. Yes, the wait times may be a tad lengthy if there is a line of people but it is well worth the wait! Great new locaton for the Santa Clarita community and abroad to enjoy some great tacos.

Love chronic tacos! My favorite is the shrimp taco! They are so generous with the shrimp. Try it Baja style! My favorite! This location is still kind of new in the area. So the lines are long and they haven’t gotten their groove yet on how to be efficient at taking orders and processing them. Sometimes the tables don’t get cleared fast enough for the volume of traffic coming and going from this place! The Carnitas are excellent! Not fatty but juicy! Really want to try the California burrito. I just can’t get away from the shrimp tacos! So just go here, don’t go when I want to go to lunch. Soon the hype will be over. And hopefully the heavy lunch traffic will slow and make it so you can still come for lunch. Took me 36 minutes to get in line place my order and get my food! Might have to try them for breakfast!

My new favorite! This place just opened so it was my first time. I’ve heard about this local So Cal chain but never had a chance to try them. The Al Pastor taco and the Carne Asada tacos were amazing! The mini churros rule too! This store is so NICE looking… new, clean and sharp. They have one of those cool touch-screen soda machines that has everything you could want to drink plus additional flavorings to add to anything(cherry, vanilla).
