Called us 10 minutes before our Rez to ask us when we would be there b/c they had someone else that wanted our table… and the food was terrible.

After 2 days in Vail, with no luck enjoying our dinner. We felt like eating sushi, we chose this place, without high expectations. They sat us at a hibachi table. Our chef Adi is a funny guy! The food was very tasty, the sushi on point and the margaritas were EXTREMELY strong. Overall we all enjoyed dinner(& we have a very picky group). We highly recommend this place!

I went there On January 1st with my 10 year Old daughter. First Of all we both ordered The NY steak and shrimp which comes with shrimp appetizer which We never got. Second of all a piece of our steak was given to the couple next to us and third of all the chef hesitated to ask if we wanted extra rice. No one was on top of the fact if we needed water or would like another drink. The hibachi chef royally SUCKED and was not even fun or attempted to be fun or entertaining considering there was a 10 year old sitting at the table. Finally, they try to trick you on making you double tip. Not going back there ever again.

My wife went dinner there last night I have gone there at least 7 times I have been coming to vail for the last 9 yrs I will never go there again I call on 1-2-2016 to reserved a table for tonight after my wife showed me the bill I have never seen this in my life they charge a additional tip base on the to total ticket that illegal 109.00 tax 9.16 tip 18per 19.62 I’m ok with that but I’m not ok they trying to hide the tip on the bill and adding tip guide on the total 137.7815% 20.67. 18% 24.8020% 27.56 This is said my kids love the place but I can’t go to a place that they steal from u vail should close this place DOWN

We were looking for a place to eat after just getting into town. This place looked like a good place. The atmosphere was great. I love the setup. However our server might have been having a off night, but I was not feeling the customer service experience. The server seemed to be confused while taking the orders, bring the food out and when bring the bill. The little thing like refilling our drinks or checking on us was not a priority. My friend was in the middle of eating his soup even though the rest of the table was done eating, the server even took the bowl of soup from out of my friend’s hand. The food on the other had was ok but nothing to write home about. As a owner of a Thai restaurant I would not recommend the Pad Thai, the favors was completely off.

I live in Denver and have literally been to almost every sushi spot in the Denver metro area. I took a staycation in Vail a few weeks ago and could not believe the service there. I honestly have never in my life experienced a restaurant staff that makes you want to drive 3 hour every weekend to see them! We never had sake bombs before and ordered some to which we were given a lesson on how to take them! Our sushi chef and greeter did a round with us and before you knew it the whole restaurant joined in. It was like the scene of a movie. An absolute fantastic time! The sushi boat we ordered was amazing and the sushi chef even made the best suggestions and let us try new rolls. My absolute favorite was the BLT sandwich one. The one that looked like mini sandwiches. I apologize it’s been a few weeks and I don’t recall the exact names. I don’t even write reviews but this experience stuck out so much in my mind I couldn’t help but write one. The staff made us feel so welcomed and at home, they really made our trip special. We are already planning the next trip. We LOVEITHERE!

Be aware, they apply 18% tip AFTER tax, is that even legal? Anyways, we won’t go back again. They also«accidentally» charged adult price for kids. There are many other great restaurants and honest places in Vail. This is a place to avoid in my opinion.

After having to carry the stroller up two flights of stairs to enter the restaurant, we were seated and found out several items on the menu that we were excited to try(and the real reason we headed to the restaurant) were unavailable. not a great start. We settled on the udon noodles and deluxe fried rice. The noodles came out tolerably warm but the fried rice came out cold, which I requested to have remade. My wife struggled to eat her noodles as she said the dish lacked taste and the texture of the noodles was«soggy». I finally gave up on my fried rice after 15 mins of waiting and asked them to take it off the bill as we needed to head home to put the baby to bed. The waitress was rude about the request and was very reluctant to take it off, trying to make me feel as if it was my fault my food came out cold from the beginning. She finally took it off the bill but not without making sure to add gratuity(as if i wasn’t planning on tipping). I wasn’t frustrated with the food coming out slowly, but by the way the waitress handled the situation. There are too many good restaurants in Vail, and unfortunately I don’t see us returning based on our experience.

This place would have gone out of business if it were opened elsewhere. Food SUCKED! They also added 18% gratuity to the bill before 35% discount, which is fine by us since we are normally a 25% tipper. Edit– just realized I gave this place 2 stars, I meant to give 1(0 if that even possible).

My family and I sat outside on the deck which is very nice in summer weather. The waitress we had was actually funny but was not attentive to the table. The menu has many options from sushi to teriyaki chicken. When we got the food, it came in waves. Two meals came out, then another two, then the last two. We had dirty dishes on our table because we had edamame earlier, and we had to ask her to take the dishes off and asked her to bring chopsticks and to bring other item we shouldn’t have had to ask her. Then the bill had an 18% gratuity charge no matter what! Which is there probably so that the waiters get paid! Also it has outrageous prices! An average of $ 17 for a meal that is very basic! The rice was obviously cooked beforehand and just reheated. Then we asked for it to be sent back and when it came back it was still cold. The chicken lo mein was very cheap quality! The chicken was almost mushy. Not very good! I would advise going to a different restaurant in the Village. There are so many better ones and they will be worth your money and time! Sushi Oka more like Sushi Uck-a!

We had several different rolls, all of them were fantastic. We sat at the sushi bar and watched them being made, and were impressed. Food was prices right. The service was slow, but it was packed, and we were there during the go-pro mountain games, so it wouldn’t keep me from going back.

Service was poor as we had to request everything from table settings, chop sticks, to soy sauce. After arriving the disclosed their $ 20 split plate charge, mandatory hibachi/tepan order policy when sitting at a tepan table, and separate menus with different pricing depending where you choose to sit. We were disappointed that we wasted a meal in vail while on vacation when there are so many wonderful choices. We spent $ 130 for two adults and two kids and weren’t even able to sit at a tepan table.

Awesome sushi and even more awesome service! We sat at the sushi bar last night(Sunday) and could not have been treated better. The sushi chef created a couple of extra dishes in addition to what we ordered for us to try(on the house!). He was so friendly and really made the night great. The hostess was so friendly too!

Hands down the best sushi I have had. The spicy tuna was perfect and basically melted in my mouth! The chef was fun and engaging, great conversations. 25% discount during the offseason, and the chef also hooked us up with some of the house made saki. We had a great time eating there. The waitress was quick to seat us, once we decided our food came out quickly. We had a spicy tuna, vail roll, the may flower roll, and the salmon lover roll. Everything was delicious! We will definitely go here again!

Food was fine: we had sushi and bunch of different dinner options. Miso soup was delicious as well as «magical» roll. They didn’t have some options on the menu, and some desserts even our waiter didn’t recommend to order. And then they have included 18% gratuity in the check automatically, even though we were just party of three. I would probably leave them even 20%, but I hate when they do it without even bothering to ask you. So overall three stars.

The best surprise in the village. Amazing food and service. The staff is very helpful end enjoyable we will be coming back time and time again. You are really missing out if you don’t come here on your Vist to the vail village. The chefs are amazing Don’t Miss Out!!!

Food is good and the service is fantastic! These folks are so attentive and are all about having fun which is PERFECT when you’re o vacation! They’ll make you smile and feel special as hell. Definitely recommend for a good time. As any hibachi spot it will have some kitch but their appreciation for their client is evident during every table visit when they ask if things are good and if they can do anything to better your experience. Just do it and tip them well please. :)
