I was traveling through Vail this morning and stopped in West Vail to get something to eat. I thought subway was going to be a great idea, quick and easy, but that was not the case. We waited in the parking lot for ten minutes before 7:00am to have it open, which 7:00am was the posted time on the door. We waited about 15 minutes longer before trying to go in. But the door was locked, the lights turned off, the ingredient line was completely empty and no one was in the store. I even tried calling the store and no one answered. There wasn’t even a sign on the door saying why it was closed. I also work in the food industry in Denver and know that this behavior and being a no show is very rude and disrespectful. I was finally able to get a hold of someone around 7:45am, after leaving to get back on the highway, and the employee who I was speaking to was very disrespectful and seemed to not care, when I explained my situation. I will got to that Subway in Vail again. This was super uncalled for.

My $ 2 Subway was $ 4.75 and the $ 5 footlong starts at $ 7.50! Guaranteed not worth the extra expense. They don’t even have spinach. NEVERAGAIN!!!

Slow, unfriendly, and more expensive than other subways I’ve been to. I ordered chicken bacon ranch sub. Bread was burned but the meat was cold. Employee also would put ingredients on the sub I didn’t ask for. I had to tell him several times to take what he just put on off.

Only reason why I’m writing about this Subway is because, this is where I ended my 12 day Vegetarian streak. The Italian 6 inch was amazing. I’m glad I got off my kick and realized that I am not scared to eat. I can go back to eating what I love, SAUSAGE!
