For a DQ, this place is pretty good. Because they’re a franchise, it can be hit or miss. We always drive through here to get blizzards. They always load them up with toppings here, unlike some other DQs that only add a few pieces. My only complaint would be that the nuts have tasted stale several times at this location.

Stopped by for ice crème cones. Ordered 1 vanilla and 1 chocolate only to find out there was no chocolate. I then asked for a coke zero only to be told they were out.:(

I grew up near the Vallejo Dairy Queen and just love getting a blizzard every so often. This Dairy Queen fails to deliver in every aspect. The service is slow and very impolite. My order is usually wrong, and seriously, how do you mess up a blizzard?! I’ve been here 3 or 4 times, and seriously don’t think I’ll be back.

This place is skimpy as hell. We have a business next to the Vallejo location so I’ve been going that location for over 20years. I love blizzards and I know what the portions are supposed to look like. I just went through the drive thru and got a small Oreo blizzard. This is what I got(pictures below) like, AREYOUSERIOUS? This is smaller than what would even go in a «mini size» blizzards are usually topped off and goes above the brim. This bothers me more because the workers should clearly see that this portion is unacceptable. And it was not busy at all, we were the only people in the drive thru. What I hate more than anything is getting gypped from my hard earned money. This skimpy blizzard was $ 3.66 which is even double the price of a mcd McFlurry.

When we lived in Davis we would frequent the local DQ frequently. Moving to Vacaville we started going to other places… until DQ opened. Haven’t been to the competition since. The Drive-Thru makes getting the Blizzards so convenient. Staff is always friendly & the Blizzards are delicious.

After our date night me and my fiancé decided to go out of town for the only Dairy Queen closest to us, much to our disappointment they were EXTREMELY rude and rushing us to order. The girl on the end of the speaker was continuously asking the same questions over and over and in a rude tone of voice. We decided to take our business to Sonic instead.

Place is solid. I’ve come here a handful of times and I’ve never been disappointed. I normally get the ice cream but for this trip me and my two friends came by after a movie for a late night bite. We got there around 9:25pm and noticed they closed at 9:30pm we didn’t wanna burden them so we told them we’d take the food to go, but they told us it was fine and we could stay. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and some fries with a drink. The bacon burger wasn’t bad, but it’s definitely nothing to brag about. It was good tasting and was what I expected. Their fries were fantastic! Nice and crispy with a lot of flavor. The place is very clean and the staff was friendly. I will definitely drop by here again when I’m in the area!

Only car in line today. Last time I turned away because the drive thru was full. Nice lady but she had to ask me twice if that’s all I wanted after I said that’s all. The fish was ok, I think but not sure since it was just a few bites. The bun is not good.

Went through the drive through at about 11 pm. Ordered a blizzard and a shake. The girl who opened the window wasn’t very nice and she flipped the blizzard upside down like it was the biggest inconvenience. I said thank you for shake and she ignored it and went back in for the blizzard. Ok? Anyway. The blizzard was a cookie dough and snickers and I don’t know what is was but it tasted moldy and old. Yuck.

This cost me 1.32 w/tax. What is that. So I bit it. Red rubber meat. I mean for .20c more I can walk in to costco or 7 – 11 and get a real hot dog. U expect us to feed our kids this!

For the first time going to a DQ outside of Texas, it was good! My husband wanted steak fries(which we found out is only in Texas) so we each ordered the mushroom & Swiss burger and it was really good. My cousin ordered the new mozzarella & chicken sandwich with ranch and that was really good. The service was wonderful and the girls we encountered were friendly.

I ordered a Blizzard MnM style like I have done about once every two weeks for the last 5 years and much to my surprise, it had no MnMs in it. Nor did it have any chocolate sauce mixed in. It was literally just soft serve ice cream in a blizzard cup. I’m not sure how you make that mistake. I can tell they blended it in the machine and everything. So lesson learned, if you go drive through, check your blIzzard first!

My family loves the ice cream here and it is reasonably priced. We really only come here for the ice cream so I’ll stick to reviewing that aspect. Ice cream is very good blizzards are great they have lots of options for toppings and the thickness of the ice cream is awesome. Since they merged with Orange Julius you can get a Julius here which is a big plus. Grab some ice cream here you will enjoy it.

Arrived at 10:50 on a Friday night. They were suppose to be open till 11:00 but the doors were locked already and someone was mopping the floor. I was in a Motorhome and came for a Blizzard but could not drive through. Hope the OWNER of this store reads these reviews and fires the night manager. I would give this review NOSTARS but it would not post.

Wishy washy customer service at this location. Sometimes cashier is friendly and sometimes they don’t even say hello. We enjoy the ice cream and sometimes want to take some home for parties, etc. They have quarts of ice cream that have been pre-packed, but my family likes it fresh. Every time I go into this location the cashier tries to make me get the quarts from the freezer when I asked for the ice cream to be fresh. Not sure why it is such a struggle to get freshly packed ice cream – never been to a location that has issues with packing it fresh upon request(except for this location). Food and ice cream is delicious, customer service will sometimes leave a bad taste.

I haven’t been to a DQ in a long time. Lots of new menu items but I came for a blizzard. The layout of the store is kind of strange but lots of tables and guest area was clean. Was greeted by the cashier/order taker. Saw a sign for the new salted caramel blizzard. Asked what was in it and she didn’t know. Thought this was strange but she did ask someone else to find out. Got the mini size — good size and right price($ 3.12 with tax). Although can’t say the salted caramel flavor was the greatest. Next time I think I will stick to a flavor I know. But it was served to me upside down like it is supposed to be. The area behind the register was cluttered with a lot of paper supplies and things. I got a laminated paper with my order number on it and my treat was prepped behind the counter so I didn’t really see if that area was neat and clean.

Went there to try lunch deal which is only available 11 to 4pm even though only a few min late would not serve this to me. Advertising does not say 11 to 4 you don’t see that till your stuck in drive through. Cars behind me in just drove through. Will not visit again go across st and visit sonic.

Show of hands… who likes eating fries without sauce? Ok, you’re weird, dude. Most of us sane folk require the sauces of dipping. So I go into this place to munch on some fries. I place my order and I’m about to pay when I notice they’ve added a charge of 59 cents for sauce. Obviously this is unacceptable. We have at this point departed from reality entirely and shifted into some plane of unbridled fuckery. Of course, being a reasonable sort, I seek to confirm that this perceived asshattery has actually been committed in my presence. I ask if that charge is correct. She explains that it is their policy. Now let me explain something to you, you poo-faced git. Here, in the really real world, this is not acceptable behaviour. While the charge for sauce is ludicrous to begin with, the true offense here is that you did not inform me of such a charge, making it my responsibility to notice that you have sneaked that charge in. You were going to let me complete my payment without saying a damn word. What on god’s green Earth compels you to take up the belief that homey plays this? Homey most certainly does not play that. It’s not even a sport that homey will casually spectate. Believe me when I say that I will never knowingly pay $.59 for a sauce packet, and your attempt to extract this sum from me without my express consent constitutes a violation of my right to dine without experiencing highway ass-banditry. I implore the Unilocaler community to show these butt puppets the error of their ways. Please do come here, order something, specifying you would like sauce with it, and then leave when they go to charge you for sauce. Maybe if enough people cancel their orders over this asinine policy they will take a hint. «Yelper.» That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can’t be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it’s fate that today is the 22nd of March, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom… Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution… but from being charged for that which should forever be complimentary. We are fighting for our right to dip, irrespective of whose hand is on whose hip or who dips first… And should we win the day, the 22nd of March will no longer be known as World Water Day, but as the day the world declared in one voice: «We will not go quietly into the night!» We will not vanish without a fight! We’re going to dip on! We’re going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!

It was a dark and stormy night… And we were craving Blizzard’s. My son & I ordered large sizes… And ate it all! I love the Oreo Blizzard, with an extra scoop of cookie for .49 more, makes it even yummier! My son had the, equally as good cookie dough Blizzard. With an extra scoop of cookie dough added as well. Went through the quick, efficient drive through. They offer many yummy items on their menu, but I keep coming back for my usual. Good prices & service– we’ll be back for sure. It has been decades(like maybe 4 decades) since I set foot in a Dairy Queen(now known simply as DQ in keeping with the faster paced times of today) and so I was anxiously awaiting the grand opening of this, their latest location. With my distant childhood memories wistfully floating about my head I reminisced of chocolate-dipped soft-serve ice cream with a curly-Q top and chili cheese dogs. I rushed over as soon as I found out they had opened and ordered my ice cream cone and chili-dog. Was it ecstasy? Er, no, but it was pretty good nonetheless. In my middle age I scrutinize everything I eat in light of calories, sodium content, preservatives, etc, etc, and so I will be eating raw veggies tonight in penance for my midday fast-food indulgence. I notice that DQ does not post calorie information on their menu, McD’s does. Pricing was $ 5 for my two items, which I think is a tad steep for fast food considering you can get a burger and a shake at In-N-Out for a buck less. One really cool touch at this DQ is that they stock paper napkins ATYOURTABLE, they don’t hide them behind the counter and make you beg for them one at a time. Maybe that’s what the extra $ is for??? Most of the customers I saw today were 50−60ish baby boomers with their grandchildren in tow. Knowing Vacaville I think this will be a typical crowd. It’s great that there are places like DQ where multi-generational families can come and share a meal together. I think it would be nice if DQ could offer some more salads or oatmeal for old fogies like me, they might get more business if they did. This shiny new DQ is a welcome addition to the Vacaville I-80 corridor and I highly recommend passers-by stop in for an Orange Julius and/or chocolate-dipped soft-serve ice cream cone. As a final side note, Warren Buffet owns Dairy Queen so those of you baby boomers who are lucky enough to have some Berkshire Hathaway stock are supporting your portfolios by eating here.
