I was a walk-​in and I explained to Amy exactly what I wanted. She said she could color my hair right away if I wanted. Amy was so patient and understanding. It was a little pricey for me for just a hair coloring but I will definitely be going back because she did a great job and took her time with me to make sure the color and highlights were perfect.

the 3 stars is really only for the price i paid for an up do, which was for prom years ago. Although my hair came out pretty, i don’t think $ 80 was worth it for just curling my hair and then pinning a braid on one side. i haven’t ever received a cut or color here so i cant put my 2 cents in for that. But the people were nice.

I lived in the city for 8 years, and always swore by Aveda salons there, and when I moved to NJ, I did some research and found HairWorks in Clifton. I highly recommend Amy, who does my highlights and cut. The hair products they use are all Aveda, which is alot better for your hair. Amy is very detailed and attentive, and friendly! Pricing is similar for cuts and color at good places in the area, but this place has gained my loyalty for going on 3 years. I get compliments on my hair too, which is the best recommendation! The salon itself is your basic salon, clean, but basic, only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars.

Amy does a great jobwith my color. I get my hair lightened and highlights. I have been to other salons before and they can’t even lighten my hair or it turns out pink! Amy got it on the first try and people ask me where i get my hair done. She chose the color for me and I’ve been going to her for over two years.

Oh I love this place. I am new to USA as well as the place. I have to get a haircut done after 3 months of stay here. So, just went in search of this place, after getting impressed with Aveda products. It was Lori who had done a haircut to me, she even suggested what suits me and the style she gave me was awesome. Also, she helped me in choosing right products for my hair and a complimentary make​-up​.My hair looks great now, unlike the damaged, chemically treated hair. I love these guys! Will be visiting tomorrow again for hair color. :)

i love these girls. they are all the best there is in hair care, and they treat everyone like they’re a close personal friend. i swear by debbie to manage my curly, thick hair, and she can cut and blow it out straight with just enough body like it’s nobody’s business.

My cut and color were fabulous until my red washed out into pink (my hair had to be color corrected to remove excess build up, and I suspect it was left on too long). Instead of good customer service, I got no apology, a barrage of excuses, and a rushed job to fix the issue. My toner to correct the color problem was free, but they expected me to pay $ 30 for a blow out. After refusing to pay that ridiculous fee, I complained that they would be forcing me to go home with wet hair without even seeing how the color turned out. I received a rushed blow out and more excuses. Do not ever tell the customer, «You’re lucky [blah blah blah].»
You’re lucky I didn’t flip the fuck out. And I’m not going back. If the $ 30 was really worth someone who would have been a lifelong customer, then have fun with that.
Edit: I noticed hours later that my stylist didn’t even wash out the toner completely. So I have sticky roots and I need to wash my hair again. Awesome.

I was looking for an Aveda salon and this one was closest to me. I made a same-​day appointment and Erika cut my hair. She did a really awesome job with it. She totally nailed the long layer, face frame cut, and the price wasn’t bad either. I highly recommend!
