Viva La Girls Spa & Club

My family not have a good experience and it appears the owners could honestly care less.
My husband wanted to try out a place in a convenient location once he saw a flyer for this salon. He called and asked them how much would it cost to cornrow our daughter’s hair. The lady said it will be between $ 45 — $ 65. My husband and I both took my daughter together. We liked the look of the salon as it was very girlie and colorful and looked fun for kids. Although the building is very old, they seemed to be very creative with the décor. They were working on bringing things in. We met the 2 owners and one stylist and every one seemed to be very nice. We showed the stylist the style my daughter wanted which was on one of their flyers. Over 4 hours later and lots of tears from my daughter crying, we got a totally different style. My daughter never ever cries when she gets her hair done so I consoled her. Also, she had to hold her head in very awkward positions for long periods of time because the stylist did her hair in these very tiny micro cornrows which by the way again was nothing close to the picture we showed her on their flyer. The music became extremely loud and inappropriate (Rick Ross, Drake etc foul language and curse words) At any rate, once we were done I asked her how much did we owe as we were ready to pay our bill and be on our way. The stylist said she did not know how much it was so we were all trying to track down the owners. My husband found the owners next door at the restaurant bar getting drunk. He returned with one who seemed less drunk and she said that my daughter’s hair was &75.00. My husband and I were SHOCKED!!! as we expected to get at least one of the prices quoted over the phone. I asked the owner was the high price due to the cornrows being small because it was a little steep. In short she did not back down on her price so I did not feel like going back and forth with her so we paid and left. They did not seem to care that we were dissatisfied and showed absolutely no interest on doing something to make sure we returned. She may have just wanted to get back to the bar. I’m huge on customer service. My daughter is now going back to her regular stylist who is great with kids and exhibits great customer service and reasonable prices. We may have to travel a little further for it but that is okay with me. I would never recommend Viva La Girls Spa to anyone.
