I Love this Diner! It’s «MY» Diner. Not only is it in my neighborhood but the food is AWESOME!!! The Hostesses and Food Servers are all so very friendly, like family and it is just so relaxing. It has an «at home» atmosphere all year round. Fall and Winter Holidays are extra special as well as all holidays. The people that patronize the Diner are great too. «Heeeeey everbody! Come on over to the UPLANDDINER» and get you GRUB on!!!

I don’t typically go to diners but Kenisha offered and I needed me some food, who could passion breakfast with her? I have to say all the prices were very fair, especially once we got our food and saw the serving sizes. I was between the breakfast burger and the turkey eggs benedict. Should’ve gone with the latter. The 6 oz burger is a frozen patty it came with hash browns that I didn’t eat because I’m simply not a fan of those, but they looked cooked the way they should. The burger itself had an egg, cheddar, and Canadian bacon. The bacon made me very happy. I feel like with a fresh burger this could’ve been amazing, but with the quality it just seemed tremendously underwhelming. If I wanted a quick breakfast I’d still return, just go for that turkey instead.

(20⁄100) I love diners. There’s a certain level of familiarity when you enter a diner; a comfortableness if you will. You know what to expect. In a world of uncertainty, that’s a very nice feeling. That feeling was not lost at Upland Diner. I meet up with friend and fellow Unilocaler, Jackie B, around noon. I’d suggest being very careful when you enter their parking lot. It’s too small for the amount of business that they get. If you’re not cautious, it’s an accident waiting to happen. Maybe I’m just a tater tot but I was confuzzled on how to get in! You get out of your car and you head straight to the front of the diner. Unfortunately, they trick you! There’s a door but you can’t enter. What the —- ?! Thank goodness I don’t embarrass easily, otherwise I’d be blushing for trying unsuccessfully to enter Upland Diner — not once, but twice! Once I finally did make it in, I was greeted by the woman at the check out register. She asked me how many was in my party and seated me at a booth. Jackie arrived shortly thereafter and we both asked for ice water with lemon. It only took us a few minutes to look over the extensive menu and we decided on breakfast food. I got the Upland breakfast and Jackie went with the Spanish omelette. The Upland breakfast came with your choice of meat(bacon!) two eggs(scrambled with cheese, please!) and pancakes or French toast. Jackie’s breakfast included toast of your choice(pre-buttered wheat!) and home fries. I think it’s safe to say that we both enjoyed our meal. There’s two awesome bonuses for Upland Diner. 1) If you check in with Unilocal, you get 10% off your bill OR 2) You can purchase a deal through Unilocal. You pay $ 10 for $ 15 worth of food.(That deal is only for dine in purchases!) I’d definitely come back to Upland Diner. Maybe Jackie and I will make this our lunch time spot!

Breakfast food is my favorite food so the words«breakfast all day» make me very excited. Upland Diner is exactly what I needed after another long week or work. I stopped in for a Friday lunch with my friend Kenisha so we could catch up. One of the first things I do when I go somewhere is check in on the Unilocal app. Great thing about this diner is that they have two deals — $ 5 off when you spend $ 15 and 10% off. It’s always a plus seeing stuff like this. Now, the food. I’m trying really hard to be healthy and count marcos. As a vegetarian one of my main sources of lean protein is egg whites. I was definitely glad to see it was an option and added it to the Spanish Omelette(cheese, veggie, and salsa!). As a toast connoisseur, I was happy that my order came with a choice of white, wheat, or rye. I should mention that my toast arrived pre buttered, which I thought was weird, but I ate it anyway. The side potatoes are fried so if you are health conscious ask for them to be removed or only eat half of the large portion. On my way to the register to pay, I got a chance to eye up the desserts they had in the case. They had a strawberry shortcake that looked divine so I’ll have to be back to try that. Another weird thing was that they woman making change did it completely wrong. The total was $ 8 something — I handed over $ 10 — and she tried to give me $ 2 and some change. I told her she was wrong but she refused so I just gave the extra as tip. Overall, I’ll be back to have many more lunch dates like this with Kenisha.

Love this place. It’s down the street from my job, they save me during my lunch hour or with an early dinner before class with«to go» orders… and their food is always good! The only reason that my rating is 4 stars instead of 5 is because I’m put on hold for a minute or two every single time I call. Nevertheless, I still love the place, food, and staff!

For a small diner, they sure do a great job. Despite their large breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus, their food is really good. Usually places with such a large menu might be lacking quality, but not the Upland Diner. Everything I’ve tried has tasted good. The service is good, and sometimes may not be as attentive, but since it’s a small place, it’s easy to get someone’s attention to help you out.

I come here once in a blue moon which is foolish on my part due to how close I live to the restaurant; but the food is excellent every time I come. The servers are always on point, courteous, happy, and respectful. If you want a great deal and great food, I highly suggest eating here!

What a disappointment. Stopped in on a Sunday morning for breakfast while we were out shopping. Sunday morning so not expecting to be seated fast, but it was obvious that we were not treated the same as the regulars. Service was slow, not very attentive. One cup of coffee to last a whole meal, and no offer of a refill. Food looked sloppy on the plate. Watched others around us have conversations with the waiters and waitresses, but nothing for us. Totally disengaged. I don’t like giving negative reviews, but this was not a very good experience.

If you eat in food is great. If you do take out, however, it is not nearly as good as it is eating in. I got a steak cooked medium, and they gave me a steak cooked close to burnt. That was my biggest disappointment.

I was in there today like everyday and was very disappointed to see how a male waiter came up and spoke to the hostess Crystal. She is always so pleasant and friendly and a reason to keep coming back. The way he treated her was very disappointing to see. Hopefully management let’s him know he should not speak to her that way. The food is great but that turned my stomach.

This diner is the best in the area. It has a cute little homey feel. The food was really good & the waitress was very nice and attentive. We went later in the evening so it wasn’t crowded at all(our waitress had 4 tables including ours) and it took quite a while for our food to come out. Hopefully that means that they cook everything to order! It did taste fresh and flavorful. My boyfriend and I both got wraps(buffalo chicken and chicken cesar) plus and order of cheese fries. Our new go to diner. We will be back again when we’re craving diner food!

The food here is always good. However the service is consistent, it is terrible. Yesterday will be the last time I go here. Went for breakfast, took our order, 2 other tables were seated after us and they got their food first. The greeter didn’t even welcome us, upon exiting no one asked how the experience was. Tom Jones will be the spot I go to.

I’ve turned a local friend onto this place and now he is hooked. Since my first review 5 months ago this place has gotten even better. Owner onsite and involved which contributes to overall quality. Stop in and give this place a try.

The outside if this place is run down, but inside is bright and clean. Service was timely and friendly. My Eggs Benedict and home fries were both quite good. My kids got the Mac-N-Cheese and hated it. I appreciate that it was homemade and not Kraft, but it was dry, cold, and mushy.

2 out of 2 stars for Food 1 out of 1 star for Service ½ out of 1 star for Cleanliness ½ out of 1 star for Atmosphere I’ve driven by this diner so many times. Glad we finally stopped in. We had the Upland Ultimate Burger which consists of two grilled ham and cheese sandwiches serving as the bun for a burger. Excessive… yes! Delicious… yes! We split the burger and ordered a side of chile– cheese fries. The sandwich/burger was awesome! The fries are really good. The chile had too much green pepper in it for my liking, but still had good flavor. Michelle was our waitress. She was very friendly and seemed to really enjoy her job. She joked and laughed with the regulars and treated us newbies just the same. Did a great job keeping my drink full. The cleanliness and atmosphere I’m going to lump together. The place is clean but a little tired looking. I was glad to see they went with bare bones décor instead of all the miscellaneous dust collectors that so often fill diners. There are 3 television for your viewing pleasure. Overall, highly recommended. Next time I’ll try breakfast here.

Great meal. I rolled up here twice after visiting a sick relative over at the hospital. Great breakfast values and a ton of food on the plate. There are a ton of cops that stop in there, and you know they know how to eat. The other funny thing was that I think the mayor was in there with a bunch of his council people the second time I stopped. If he wasn’t the mayor, he was someone important, and the waitress said they come in all the time, so it’s safe to say that this a hidden jem for anyone to find.

I believe this place needs a little more love. Just a little… I hadn’t been here in many years, but found myself in the area recently and wanted to see if it was still any good. It’s been around long enough but doesn’t seem to get enough Unilocal attention. Let’s change that now. The place is generally clean, it was pretty busy on a Friday morning at 10, and service was fast enough. You can’t beat their specials. $ 2.25 gets you eggs, home fries, and toast during the week until 11am. I decided to upgrade a bit and went for the Upland Breakfast which gets you a short stack choice of pancakes or French Toast with eggs and your choice of meat for $ 5.60. That’s definitely cheaper than a lot of places for this combination. French Toast, scrambled, and scrapple for me, please! I judge diner quality on how well they make French Toast. I call it my French Toast Test. Diners make this differently all over the place. So, I’ll say that they passed the test. However if the best French Toast I ever had is an A+, I’ll put the French Toast here in the B– category. It was fine, but not special. Not too much batter in the toast, browned just right, no powdered sugar on it which is a slight letdown. Couldn’t taste much cinnamon or any flavoring. It was pretty basic. Perhaps they save the good stuff for the other French Toast dishes they have on the menu such as the stuffed toast. But I ate it and had no complaints. That sums up the meal I had overall. It was fine. I didn’t feel like I had anything special. But I did feel like I got a good deal for the money and that’s worth some praise.
