Carrie is awesome, she’s so nice and really knows what she is doing. I’ve gone to her for eyelash tinting and electrolysis on my eyebrows so far. My lashes always look amazing and her shaping skills with brows was exceptional! I was comfortable from the get-go, she’s knowledgable and so accommodating. I love that I can book online.

I am so happy to have found Carrie! I have been seeing her off and on since the beginning of this year. I have developed some major hormonal imbalances that among other things has created a haven for unwanted whiskers on my chin. I mean seriously, if I would have continued to cultivate them I could have had a decent career as a bearded lady! I would spend nearly 45 minutes each day plucking so that no-one would know my secret. I had a pair of tweezers at home, in my purse, in my suitcase and at my desk at work just in case I would feel something, I really became obsessive about it. Nothing else in my life has ever made me feel like less of a lady. In the past, I have had series of laser treatments, where I saw a very temporary and very minimal reduction in hair growth — it was very expensive and very frustrating considering the results. Fast forward to Carrie — with each appointment, I see less and less hair return, and the hair that does come back is finer and has less pigment. Carrie and I still have some work to do, but I recently had surgery and I felt compelled to pluck my chin clean before going in(don’t tell Carrie!!), it only took me about 10 minutes to clear the area. But what I was really happy to see, was that it took almost two weeks before anything grew back, and about three weeks before anything became real coarse — that would have never happened before starting electrolysis! Having had both treatments, I would have to say that I prefer electrolysis. The best thing about it is, that once the hair is finally gone, it will be gone forever. And from a pain perspective, I have been told by many that I have a high pain tolerance. When I had laser they used to turn the laser machines up all the way and I would fell the snap on my face with each pulse, which would not bother me, but my teeth would zing! With the electrolysis I really don’t feel much more than a tingle unless she finds a stray hair on my upper lip, right under my nose — then my eyes water. Both procedures create some pretty good swelling and redness that will last about one to three days before it goes down — I’ve noticed it takes less time when I am eating healthy and am hydrated — so make sure you drink your water before a visit! I brought a friend in with me to see Carrie, who had some minor concerns. After three short treatments she was done and has not had anything return; needless to say she is a happy camper. So it really depends on the severity and concentration of growth in the area that will determine how many treatments will be needed, everyone is different. If you are on the fence as to whether you should give Carrie a try or not, I cannot recommend her highly enough. She has a wonderful and caring demeanor, and her studio is decorated beautifully, is immaculate and totally relaxing. Oh, and it is worth mentioning that I drive nearly an hour one way just to see her, and it is totally worth it!

Went today for first electrolysis appointment ever, and had a great experience. Carrie was running on time, and was very welcoming(which was important since I traveled almost an hour for my visit). I had a lot of anxiety associated with the anticipation of this procedure, but Carrie provides such a comforting environment(dimly lit, light music, well decorated, private space). We were there for an hour, and she totally focused on my comfort and personal tastes. She actually went a little over our scheduled time. I really can’t wait to go back, and saw results IMMEDIATELY. I highly recommend this over laser hair removal or any other method, if you want permanent results. Also this was totally worth the drive.

As a child of the ‘70s, I had very sparse eyebrows due to overtweezing. For years, I tried to grow them back. I have known Carrie for over 10 years, first as my make-up consultant, then as the artist who applied my custom lashes, so I can attest to her skill as an artist. But, it wasn’t until about two months ago, when I tried Billion Dollar Brows, that I learned of her technical skill… because Billion Dollar Brows is a technical process involving numerous facial measurements to give you the brows you were born to have… only better. Beyond that, I won’t spoil the mystery! I had it done approximately two months ago and have been using the re-growth product for over a month now. It’s an on-going procedure, but I do see eyebrows where I’ve had none since my 20’s! As someone else said, call her; you won’t regret it!

Love my lashes! I have been to 3 other Beauty Bars, but none of them have done my lashes like Carrie does. She is great. My lashes are feminine and glamourous. I get soooo many compliments when Carrie does my lashes. I can’t think of going to any one else again.

Carrie is absolutely the BEST at all she does. Not only is her work amazing, but she has a gentle touch and makes you feel completely comfortable while she is working on you. I had her do custom eyelashes and they were stunning. They are comfortable to wear, low maintenance, and everybody thought they were my own. They lasted about 6 weeks and I couldn’t even feel them on my eyes. I had had others done before, but I could always feel them and they didn’t look near as good, or last near as long as these. Call her up! You won’t regret it.

Carrie is great! I have seen her 4 times over the past couple of months to tackle my crazy unibrow with electrolysis and I think I only need one last 15 or 30 minute session to finish the area and never have to pluck again! My first 3 sessions were each 60 minutes long, and the last one was 45 minutes long. With each session, less and less hair grew back, and the hair that did grow back was thinner. Carrie has a nice setup with a comfortable table to lay on, and it’s nice that she always seems to be in a pleasant mood and willing to answer any questions or address problem areas. I also really like that she is available by text as well as by phone, which makes rescheduling or confirming appointments really easy. I actually first visited Carrie at her older location because of a groupon sort of thing, but liked her services so much that I’ve continued seeing her at full price for the remaining sessions and even drive from Riverside to her because I trust her with my face! Carrie’s done such a good job that I will no longer need to see her after my next session — it’s kind of sad that she does such a good job that she makes herself no longer needed! So I’m trying to recommend her to others as much as possible — go to Carrie! Some warnings and tips for first-timers w/electrolysis(sorry, sort of long, but I wish that I’d been able to read up on some of this before my first time!): There is definitely some redness and swelling for the first day or two(at least there was for me), but Carrie provides some nice cleanser and cream to help with this and can sell you more if you run out. The creams have lasted me through all the sessions, but I did buy some more of the cleanser from her(at a reasonable price) and have been glad that I did. Icing the area a couple times per day for the first two days after each session helped me quite a bit with the redness, and I also found that taking some ibuprofen an hour before the appointment eased the discomfort and swelling. Keep in mind though, that I was having her work on lots of hairs in a really concentrated area(the space between my brows), so if you are doing something less concentrated like chin hairs or something, you probably will not have so much redness, swelling, etc. as I did. But it’s really not that bad at all — the process was not nearly as painful as I had expected it to be and I was able to handle the 60 minute sessions without any significant discomfort. Carrie does a great job being careful and as gentle as possible and carries a nice conversation through the session, which is a helpful distraction. Also, one last thing, you will have to have several sessions for permanent hair loss(Carrie can explain all this) with around 2 to 3 weeks in between sessions — but then the hair loss is permanent! Amazing!
