They took all the clothes I gave to the homeless! The manager said«how could I steal from someone who doesn’t have a home». I’ve donated a lot of things to goodwill but now seeing that the Employees are Stealing from the Homeless, I’m never going back unless it’s for the homeless.

I called last night asking if they had any desks. I was told they had two but she didn’t give me any other information, didn’t offer to price check or anything. Anyways, I go in this morning to check out said desks. I didn’t see any desks in sight. So I told an associate I called last night and was told there were two desks. She rolled her eyes and said, «whatever we have is out there(on the floor).» She didn’t offer to help me look. She was very rude. I interacted with her three times and she became increasingly rude. I then asked how much a little girls dress was because there was no sign saying how much dresses are, only tops & pants. The dress was $ 3.99.my response was«oh wow.» She rolled her eyes… The dress wasn’t outlandishly priced, I was just expecting it to be $ 2.00 or so for the quality it was. However, many items, which are 99% junk in this store, are outrageously priced… My litter girl picked up a candle that had a price tag 2 for .99… I didn’t want to patronize the store but I also didn’t want to deal with a screaming toddler so we set the candle on the counter… the cashier took the dollar and closed the cash register. Shouldn’t I have gotten change back? I explained that it said 2 for .99… with an attitude she said, «well where’s the other one?» I had no idea, my kid just randomly picked this up. Shouldn’t the associate know where the candle merchandise is stocked? So then I made a comment to the manager that the associate has been very rude to me and the manager didn’t even look up at me or acknowledge me. Unbelievable. Now it was just the principle. I said I want my money back so then we had to go through a big ordeal of taking my information down just so I could get my dollar back. I WILLNEVERSTEPFOOTINHEREAGAIN. RUDESTAFFANDBASICALLYOVERPRICEDTRASHFORSELL. There are plenty of good thrift stores, avoid this place.

This«thrift shop» sells allot of ripped, broken and even dirty things its rare that you find something that is worth paying double the price of what you would pay at a different«thrift shop» I wont be coming to this Goodwill again they have a new policy where they only give you a store exchange for clothing and electronics so there is your warning incase you go there and buy something other than clothes or electronics and its broken you buy as is. I don’t think I will be stepping into any other Goodwill again. there are smaller chain thrift shops that have good quality for cheaper prices.

This despicable location’s parking lot(butts up to the north side of the 10 Freeway at Mountain) serves as an unsightly camp for many, messy, homeless vagrants, their belongings, kept in stolen carts and hung on the fence. The southwestern end of this fence and Goodwill building are the camp of several uninvited tents of vagrants.

I enjoy coming to this Goodwill store when I am in the area. It is pretty organized. I love looking around this place. I have noticed that they no longer really carry children’s books as they used to which is a shame as I usually buy them to read to my students and add to my collection. They have gone up in pricing of their books which doesn’t make sense as they are getting these items for free. No need to charge others such high prices. I do love their weekly colored ticket discounts though. I will be visiting here again and think you should give this place a try.

This review is just for the donation center rather than the store. Because I adopted several pairs of new shoes and other items, I had to give up some of my other well-weathered friends to a good home. This donation site is usually where I go because it is convenient and they have staff on site. I was disappointed on the day I went because they no longer have the back area/garage open where you can just pull up the car and unload everything. Now you have to find a parking space in the crowded lot and carry your items inside thru glasd doors into a reception area. It’s a pain when you have a lot to carry. Sure, you can get the attention of someone who will come out and help you, but it was so much more convenient before. Maybe they will change it back?

Use to get good deals there, but some MBA probably came into mgmt and upped the prices. Seems like they research the new price and set a price bases on a set percentage of new. Too bad. No good deals there. You can do lots better at a yard sale.

This is a review for the donation part of going to Goodwill. I like to donate stuff I don’t use anymore, since it’s better for people, and better for the environment. I’ve been over to Goodwill a couple times since it changed over, and ever since, leaving donations with them has become really unpleasant. The staff they have working donations. They’re rude, and they don’t seem to want to take anything unless it’s new with tags or something. The last time I went there, the guy was rude and really, really creepy. I don’t know how to explain it, but if I had been a woman, I think I would have been really afraid. It’s become so much of a chore to drop stuff off here, I’d just as soon go somewhere else, or figure something else out.

If one can be considered parsimonious for buying clothing at a thrift store, then I’ll happily accept the moniker. On the other hand, to have walked out of such a store with a mint condition blazer that runs $ 200 – 250 in Macy’s for $ 30 or a $ 1 silk tie that costs $ 20+ may be considered a sign of intelligent life. ;) The fun of it is entering and having no idea what you may come across. In sifting through some of the cheaply made or broken items, I have found rare vinyl records, handcrafted furniture and lovely antique lamps. It is hit or miss, but the element of uncertainty makes the time worth it. Clothing is organized by article and coloration with women’s on one side of the store and men’s on the other. I have sometimes come across a woman’s blazer or dress shirt in the men’s section, which usually evokes a chuckle. Some people may try to rain on the parade saying that the thrift shop smell is too much to overcome. This is a specious point because such a smell is eradicated after taking the item to a dry cleaner. I have often wondered, however, why thrift stores have that kind of odor. Their donation handling is also very good as I have dropped off some furniture and bags of clothes. They were quick and courteous. Do yourself a favor, if you are looking clothing, particularly the dressier variety, stop in one. If you don’t find it, then go on and pay full price. You may, however, be pleasantly surprised.

I was surprised, in a good way, over the amount of shoes. It’s not that big of a store, but I guess it’ll serve your needs. Clothes are arranged by color, which I’m not sure if I like, but visually, it’s great. I was there looking for a fancy dress to trash because I’m supposed to dress like a zombie in the Doo Dah Parade(you got that connection, yeah?). There weren’t enough 80s taffeta prom dresses, I only found one(fuchsia!), and then a variety of bridesmaid dresses, and other boring dresses. They had a few wedding gowns, if you need one, and even though some of the fancier dresses had price tags with $ 19.95+ on them, the cashier said dresses were all $ 7.99. Ok, then. I found a copy of New Kids on the Block’s «Hangin’ Tough» on CD on the counter — I didn’t even know that got pressed on CD. For $ 1.99, it was definitely time to upgrade my cassette. Did you know that album’s 20 years old?! I will, in fact, be lovin’ them forever.
