Referred to George Botros by a general contractor to design a 2 br 2 bath addition and a kitchen remodel on an existing small california bungalow home. I paid him $ 3900; However, he never completed the basic elements of the home design. He did a rough design, not to scale and did not put any details like where the storage cabinets would be and all the other detail inside a home. He stated he completed overall 70 percent of the work. However, I did not feel we understood each other. He called my questions«silly». He also asked my husband and my contractor to take measurements of areas of the property, which is his responsibility. So I decided to find an architect that would actually show me some drawings. I quit him and he was nice enough to give me the cad files. I sent these files to 2 other architects for consultations. Both of these architects told me there was not enough information in the cad file to be able to build on and use in continuing the project. So, the percentage completed by George was misrepresented to me. I did not ask for my money back. He claims to have put 45 hours into the project. However, I cannot imagine what he was doing during those 45 hours as there just was not enough product to show for it. I am now in search of a new architect. I will have to start over, paying all over again for the project that was not as complete as represented
