Very delicious sandwiches. But the guys making the sandwiches talk way too much amongst one another, and to other customers being waited to. Not sure if it is ignorance or purposeful rudeness to those waiting to get helped. It’s awful. Even while making my sandwich, took literally 10 min. Guy was too busy talking to others!!!

Forget any other sub or sandwich joint, this is the place you need to be. Everything here is fresh and authentic. The staff is super friendly and joyful here. I typically get the Uncle B! However, you can customize your sub to your liking. You can also get dough and sauce here for pizza, oils and vinegars, this place has it all. I would also suggest a ring sandwich if your hosting a party.

A top-notch staple for their selections in the deli case, as well as fresh breads and pastries to boot. Our family has been a Claro’s customer for over three decades. The Kobe Roast Beef is awesome, Mortadella with Pistachios always a hit, and sliced to your specifications or as suggested by the experts behind the counter. I’d give ‘em 6 stars if I could.

The meat here is splendid. The prosciutto is delectable but my favorite is the Kobe roast beef with Havarti cheese.

Great selections of meats cheeses and breads. Lots of odd items in the store you won’t find at a mainstream supermarket. Fresh bread every day is a major plus. Staff all seems to be loyal to claro’s family as well. very good deli highly recommended.

I love this place been going there for years but today was absolutely the worst experience ive ever had with an establishment… first off me and my boyfriend go to order our sandwhich and we ask a bunch of questions and what not(no it was not busy whatsoever) and the dumb stoner looking dude seriously has no idea what hes talking about nor does he even know what they carry so we just decided order something simple… because i was not about to argue w him… «The Mary» or something like that which does not have any condiments except for horseradish spread but even then we asked please no mayo or mustard. lettuce tomato onion only(how hard is that???) They give us our sandwich which is all wrapped up so we didnt look at to make sure(my mistake) now as we depart on our long journey home(whittier) we come across some traffic so we decide we will eat in the car we open the sandwhich to find it full of mayo mustard pickles banana peppers … and not lightly. they packet that ish on like the world was gonna end and that was last sandwhich they were ever gonna eat(& if you like that shit then good for you but i dont) … so we call the deli hoping we can work something out because that shit aint cheap(say what you will) & they have the audacity to call us liars over the phone… well my bf and i are a little short tempered so we hung up on dat h** &threw the sandwich out on the 10 freeway. I feel sorry for the owner, he has some idiots working for him/her. We are now at In N out enjoying some real food lol safe to say if i go back there ill make sure i watch them make my sandwhich because apparently they need help… then double check it again…

My family use to go to the one in Tustin for many years. Every time my dad would come for a visit from Arizona, he would have to make a stop to Claro’s. Now that I’m grown up and moved to Rancho I was super excited to find out there was one so close by. My father has passed away and every time I come here the sights and smells remind me of him and brings back so many nice memories. The bread and the cold cuts and cookies etc are all so fresh and good. I now make it a part of holidays just like my parents did. Their sandwiches are very good and are very reasonably priced also. Stop by and experience a little taste of Italy.

First time here, my friend got a huge sub. The red head lady was so nice. She gave me and my friend free samples of some coconut cookies. Very friendly. The sandwiches are a lot different compared to like subway. Taste real good. I want to go back to buy some meat next time.

My family has been going to Claro’s in La Habra for decades. I live in Riverside but the drive to Upland is well worth it. Great selection and the friendliest staff.

I’ve been shopping at Claro’s for years, have never had a problem with customer service and I don’t mind waiting a bit when they’re busy. By far it’s the best Italian market around with the best imported products around. If you don’t wanna cook or bake they have a great selection of pastries and food as well as their sandwiches!

I’m so glad there is another location! I thought they only existed in Arcadia! Now I get to have Claro’s near my house and near my work! Love their deli sandwiches! You really can’t wrong with any of them because it’s made fresh and the meat and the cheese is as good as it’s going to get! The staff here is actually very helpful and they love to talk to their customers! I ordered the Cousin Caroline with some pasta salad on the side. Loved it, will come back when I’m ready to buy some of their authentic Italian supplies! The holidays are around the corner and it’s a good gift basket idea!

Super place. Just super. Highly recommend particularly if you are a Sopranos fan. If you go for sandwiches get the Uncle Kief sandwich. It’s like an Italian party in your mouth.

Best sandwiches around. There’s subway(yuch), and there are places like Claro’s. This is a true old fashioned deli, no complaints after decades stopping here periodically. We get stuff from the deli at times for large gatherings, and most rave at the quality of the food.

My favorite deli by far! I used to go to the one in the San Gabriel valley as a child, so this place has a soft spot in my heart. Their meats and cheeses are the best, and the employees will always answer questions and give samples to help you make your choices. Lines can get crazy long around the holidays, so plan accordingly. I also recommend their sausage, bread, and cookies. Well, honestly I guess I just like everything here!

After being a loyal customer for over 10 years, I will no longer shop at this market. They need to teach the deli counter help how to act and treat customers. In my day, working in my dads corner market we would have been smacked if we talked to people like that.

Absolutely love the sweet sausage. Tried the spinach pasta salad this time… so good! They are usually busy but have good customer service and process orders quickly. Highly recommended.

Went there for the first time and the lady working behind the counter was awesome. Since it was my first time she gave me samples of the meets to try and recommended sandwiches to me. I will definitely be trying this place again.

I really enjoy this place. I used to work down the street and it was a great place for sandwiches and cute little pasta salads and fun sweet items. They have a roasted bbq pork that is very appealing to the palate. I actually drove out one weekend, but they didn’t make any. It was a far drive from LA, but now I know to call before I go. The meatballs were not that great to me, but I did enjoy the stuffed sweet peppers, and their Italian sausage is cooked just right, with a little onion, red and green bell pepper. All in all go for this place if you are in the upland area!

Yep. «Whoohoo! As good as it gets!» is a pretty accurate description for this market. I dunno. What is it that draws me to a place like this? Family Owned. Specialty deli market. Quality frozen, canned and fresh imported products. Quite an array of unique cooking utensils. Hard working employees. Clean, clean, clean! Nice neighborhood. Lupini beans. Huh? And just so you know, we have come here several times over the decades, but just to make sure, I followed the directions on my phone’s GPS. Well, it had me going in circles, finally leading us into a cul de sac in a different part of town filled with upper middle class homes. Google Maps screwed up big time. How does one swear in Italian, you know, with the gestures and all? Getting back to the lupini beans, now that was a mystery to me, where to get them, after seeing a Dr. Oz segment about healthy foods and potato substitutes. Long story short, they are apparently an Italian staple, look kind of like a fava bean, but a much lower glycemic index rating. And not easy to find, but we happened to have a cool Italian import market nearby. Tah dah… Claro’s. And since we were there, we indulged in a few other things, like freshly baked pastries, some gorgeous Italian breads, and let’s not forget about their deli section where they made us a few custom sandwiches. Amazing. Delicious. Deli meats and cheeses that tasted so different, in an absolutely wonderful way, as compared to the«Subways» of this world. It was all we could talk about, all the way home, all 30 miles of it. A few small patio tables outside if you want to dive into your indulgences immediately. Well worth a visit! And, as an aside, here is the link to the CIA’s/ Dr. Oz’s recipe, «Better than Potato Salad» which uses the lupini beans. Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it.
