The place is very quiet and unassuming. It is located next to a KFC for reference. The lady taking the order was nice enough and attentive to what I was asking. The dining area isn’t large, but it can accommodate roughly 20 – 25 people. The breakfast tacos came out within seven minutes and were freshly made. I had the picadillo taco and the barbacoa taco. Both were finely seasoned and the hot sauce/salsa was good, not really spicy. The tacos were not huge but they were not too small and there was a fair amount of filling on the tortillas. Overall, this place warrants another visit

First visit here this morning. The parking lot in the front is small but more parking is available behind the building. This is a very small family owned restaurant. I’m not sure how long it has been here but a few updates are needed. We tired the following tacos Carne asada(Strips of grilled marinated beef). Super yummy Barbacoa(tasty & melts in your mouth) Beef fajita(beef with peppers and onions) Potato & egg Bean & cheese Tortillas were fresh and all the choices we tried were amazing. The fajita was a tad greasy but very tasty. Stars 1 star for service. Cafeteria style order at the counter and have a seat. 1 star for food. Fresh and tasty. ½ star for facilities. Some chairs need to be up dated the flood boards wiggle a bit. 1 star overall because I would come back and order tacos here. –didn’t visit restrooms so I couldn’t rate. 3.5 stars.

BLUF– 4 stars for good service and 2 stars for the food. Ordered chicken fajitas and ended up with two overly thick flour tortillas filled with a very small portion of smokey chicken that tasted like it came from Bill Millers bbq across the street — weird Other folks I was with had meals that looked much like Taco Bell with ground beef filling. They were not impressed. Not recommended

Umm… YUM?!? I LOVE tacos and I LOVE breakfast. I never knew there was such a thing as breakfast tacos with the beautiful combination of the two. I’ve had breakfast burritos before so I imagined the tacos being similar. Small shop, maybe about 10 small tables. Limited parking. The menu is simple. You get to choose any combination you like. I decided on: 1 potato egg and cheese taco 1 bean and cheese My family ordered: Ham, egg and cheese Bacon egg and cheese Others included: Chorizo and Egg Beans and Rice Egg and Cheese Chilaquiles Sausage and Egg Or any combo you like. It doesn’t have to be two items. You get the idea. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. They also make their tortillas fresh. It really makes the whole taco delicious. And they make everything when you order. The food comes out super quick too. Bonus points. Each table has a squeeze bottle of ketchup and salsa. The salsa makes the tacos so much better. It’s the perfect amount of heat. Not too spicy but enough for a good kick and it’s vey tasty. I enjoyed this place a lot. Will be coming back when I’m in town again. Very cheap, tasty and filling.

Great service, great tortilla and the best hot sauce in town!

This was a great little taco joint. They made their own tortillas and the food was outstanding… and very reasonably priced. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was their salsa, but the other guys with me said they liked it so it must just be my taste preference is a bit different than theirs. Definitely worth having lunch here if you are in the area.

Every time I get my oil change near by(about every 3 months) I have to stop in to eat there tacos! Great service, fast even when busy morning hours. They advertise fresh tortillas made in house and it shows really nice! A better salsa for there tacos is the only reason for the one star off, it is also left on every table when u come in part of the tables condiments. Great place for a quick bite to eat!

They make the best beef fajita tacos! The menudo is really good too. This is a must try restaurant. My family and I eat here every Saturday. My brother makes it a point to stop by when he’s in from Bryan because the food is that good. It’s a small family owned and operated restaurant. Stop by to try it you will not be disappointed. Get the beef fajita taco with avocado and sweet tea for a real treat.

wow, i can’t imagine giving this place a bad review, I stopped by today for the first time in a while, I moved across town, but missed it. I always loved this place, and it was just as I left it. still my favorite breakfast taco. nice people, always crowded in the morning, and I have never seen an unhappy customer in the almost 20 years I’ve been eating there… I guess people only come to Unilocal when they are unhappy. Keep up the good work

Great taco joint! Their strength is in their breakfast tacos, but you can’t go wrong with their lunch menu! Excellent tortillas surround all kinds of specialties… if you don’t like it too greasy, ask for your chorizo or ham or bacon tacos«dry.» The bean and cheese taco is very good and has a slight smoky flavor. Service is fast and friendly. Price is on-point!

I grew up eating these breakfast tacos. I’ve since moved to michigan. Seriously no good Mexican food. The only breakfast burritos they have is McDonald’s not that I consider that a burrito. I have always gotten an egg, potato, and bacon. The tortilla must be homemade because they are amazing. The red sauce they have its the best thing I have ever tasted. When I visit my family I alway drive 1 ½ hours to eat breakfast here. Plus I get a 32oz red sauce to take home and freeze. My only suggestion would be for them to sell their sauce and ship it. I would pay big money to get some.

Tried this place out twice, the first time we tried the Menudo. I have to say that was pretty good. That was better than expected from a little whole in the wall. I took the whole family and we ordered the Taco Plate and a few other items that did not work out so well since we all got an upset stomach right after. We have a pretty strong immune system and this just did not sit well. Needless to say we will not be going back. This place closes at 1pm so make sure to get there early if you plan to give this place a try.

I love Mexican food. Typically I look for the most run down joint on the block, because that’s where the good food is at. Unfortunately, Taco Sensations left me wanting so much more. I ordered a random sample of breakfast tacos and they were all pretty bad. There was no flavor in most of the tacos and anything with chorizo had an over abundance of grease. Likewise, the hot sauce they provide is watered down and flavorless. It’s hard writing this because I do have a soft spot in my heart for little Mexican taco joints, but this place really could do better if they wanted to.

Taco Sensation, by appearance and operation — is like many of the taco establishments you’re likely to run into in the city of San Antonio. a.) It’s located kiddy corner from a main street(Pat Booker), b.) It closes early on most days and it’s not open on Sunday c.) It also seems to have insufficient seating for the amount of sleepy eyed patrons that are willing to wait to get seated. The place however has tasty tacos and some incredible prices. This past Saturday I purchased an assortment of tacos(6 total) and two Tea’s for dine in and I just spent over 10 dollars. The tacos we ordered by the way were all flour and varied from Fajita to Barbacoa, Potato& Chorizo(which was surprisingly tasty) and Bacon-egg-Cheese. The salsa they had on hand was also very tasty and fresh from what I could tell. Again, Taco places rarely blow a new part in my hair… but if you’re anywhere near Randolf AFB — and are in need of taco fix — be sure to check it out

I am a fan. I got a chilaquiles breakfast taco here for $ 1.52. Dang good price and the taco was so good! I haven’t experienced enough of this place yet to move it up to a 5 star, but I may be doing an update here pretty soon… I am a satisfied customer… :)

Breakfast tacos: This is where people in the know, go. If you’re from greater North-East San Antonio(and don’t get me started on the greater Randolph Air Force Base community) and don’t know, I feel bad for you. It is a little hidden, which qualifies it as a hidden gem. I’ve never been for anything other than breakfast, but in all of my formative18 years in Schertz, this was the spot. I’m fine with Taco C, Bill Millers, or Grumpy’s tacos any day of the week, but it’s a treat to eat at Taco Sensations. Do it.

Cheap. Daily Specials. It’s decent Tex-Mex; fills ya up… but doesn’t make me crave it. A lot of people LOVE this tiny joint, though. It LOOKS like a place I’d like… tiny, soda in cans… but the food is just… bland? Never tried the breakfast tacos that are supposed to be so great, so can’t speak to that.

Can you feeeeeel the TACOSENSATIONS? It’s certainly a better name than most of the Mexican restaurants I’ve visited, but I come to eat. The main appeal of Taco Sensations is the tortillas, which they make fresh and taste like it. In something like breakfast tacos where there are only a handful of ingredients, the tortilla is as important an ingredient as any other, and it explains why a majority of the menu puts emphasis on the breakfast options. Other items sampled from Taco Sensations include the carne guisada, which was tender and flavorful but at the same time the collagen in the meat had not completely converted to gelatin, indicating cooking at a temperature too high or too low. A bit fatty for my tastes, too. The puffy taco I tried was amongst the best-fried I’ve seen in San Antonio, though it seems to me that the dish is inherently flawed — the timer is ticking as soon as the masa comes out of the fryer, and when you dump some seasoned ground beef into the shell, the juices start killing the crispiness immediately. By the time it gets to your mouth, you’re lucky if the tortilla is still in one piece. The taco was dressed well with vegetation and what looked to be a special sauce. Refried beans and rice were above par. While I wasn’t rocked by my Taco Sensations, there was enough good there to place it near the top of the dozen Mexican places in Universal City.
