This is kind of the highlight of my frequent trips to Universal Studios. Puffy, freshly fried donuts bathed in cinnamon sugar… What more can you ask for? Not to mention they’re mini and adorable. Accompanied by a hot cup of black coffee and you’ve got yourself a breakfast of champions… or lunch or dinner or snack… Be sure to give this a try when you’re at City Walk.

I must admit that they were cute. It was neat to see the mini donuts being fried in front of me. The staff were very friendly… But, the donuts didn’t deliver in taste. I mean they were okay… I remember Mom making donuts at home a couple of times when my bro and I were kids. These donuts tasted just like them. There was a reason why Mom stopped making them… Although she is a gifted cook, her donuts were you know… Just okay at best. Nearest Metro Station: Red Line at Universal City/Studio City Station — Shuttle to the park and the City Walk across the street from the station

I first had these mini donuts at the LA Auto Show years ago. I am glad that Sparky’s make these mini donuts. it’s hard not to eat a few of these donuts especially when they are freshly made. They are so soft and melts in your mouth. If you are sharing with a few friends, I recommend that you purchase the bucket size. They fill the bucket with mini donuts and there is no specific amount of donuts they put in the bucket.

Sparky’s is a little donut shop located inside Universal City Walk. They have a small donut maker that could be seen from the customers perspective. It’s pretty interesting to watch. Because they are continuously making donuts at all times from the conveyor belt donut maker, their service is pretty fast. We ordered a dozen donuts for only $ 6. They also have the souvenir buckets where you can get a lot of mini donuts plus the bucket. You can chose to get plain donuts or put sugar on top. The donuts are served fresh, warm, and fluffy. YUMM!

Ordered a chocolate pecan turtle It was so stale, old and hard I could hardly bite through it How old is this stuff? Has it been in there case all year? I am glad I didn’t break a tooth.

My recent visit was over this weekend for the donuts portion of the store.(9÷18÷15) Approx. time: 1pm. I have been here many times before, but finally had the chance to re-visit after such a long time. The donuts portion of the store is more newer. The donuts are on point and affordable. They are mini-sized and fresh as they could be! The gentlemen that was serving me was really nice and professional. The donuts are usually quick to be made. Looks like the actual candy store has progressed from what I remember years ago. Stop on by!

Not as good as the northridge farmers market mini doughnuts but we(because of the hubby– he likes this stuff) always stop here as our main attraction in City Walk. Note to self, 6 is too many to eat in 1 night. :p Maybe 4 max. Hubby had to get 24(this time he got his way) Granted, you double your order for only $ 2 more… But we had major leftovers. Overall, it was«a little doughy» according to the hubbie instead of fresh but also well done like the ones at the northridge farmers market. To me, it just tasted like regular doughnut. The taste /texture wasn’t anything super special beside the fact that they’re fresh and hot. I was actually ok after having just one whereas when they’re really good I want more. It’s always neat that you can see them making them in front of you, and get them hot off the deep fryer and then get some sugar squirted on. It’s fun to walk around city walk pigging out on these things.

For those of you who’ve ever been to Pier 39 in San Francisco and tasted Trish’s Mini Doughnuts these taste exactly the same. For those of you who have no idea what I’m talking about, let me just say say that I love these mini fluffy doughnuts, and that we have a similar place in SF that serves the exact same thing. Only in SF it’s about $ 1.50 cheaper. I love these doughnuts, and can eat a bucket by myself. But since my friends and I chipped in for one bucket, I guess that mean I have to share, right?

MIni-donuts in a bucket? Yes please! We stopped here on the way on to Universal Studios. They also have hot chocolate which will help you if the day is cold. I’m not sure what more to write. They are mini donuts and they are good! That’s all you need to know.

If you are going to Universal Studios, this is a great place to grab a few or a bucket of mini donuts and a coffee before your day at the park. We got their first batch of the morning, always made right as you order them and you can watch the mini cuties frying to perfection in the machine behind the glass case. The service at 9am was awesome! She was happy and chipper to help us out with our coffees and donuts. The donuts are not super oily or greasy. They have sodas and waters for sale in an ice bucket up front also, if you just wanted to grab a cold drink. I just wish there was more seating in the area to be able to sit and watch the kids playing in the water fountain, or in front of the stores so that I can people watch while enjoying my lovely, little mouthfuls of sweetness. You have to get the cinnamon sugar ones… who does regular?!?

Every time I go to the Universal Studio in Los Angeles, I’ve gotta stop by Sparky’s for a cute little bucket of fresh hot mini donuts! It’s fun to watch the making of the donuts through the glass windows, and the plastic bucket is good to be kept as souvenir. Golden in color, the mini donuts are not too greasy or sugary, and are perfect snack for both kids and adults to munch on! I love this place!

A small donut shop in Universal City Walk. I always passed by but never bought any until today. You can watch the machine create the mini donuts. The donuts are served plain or cinnamon sugar. They also have drinks, such as, soda, bottled of water, coffee and hot chocolate. We ordered six mini donuts. :Dessert: The cute donuts were warm and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. It was cakey and the sweetness was just right. I would come back again. ( ) :Highlight: Eating freshly made warm donuts! :M’s Notes: ~6 Mini Donuts $ 4.00 ~12 Mini Donuts $ 6.00 ~24 Donuts $ 8.00 ~Bucket Special — 36 Donuts $ 10.00

How does this place have less than 4 stars?! The mini donuts here are light, fluffy, perfect for sharing and delicious, especially when dusted with cinnamon and sugar. And, you get a bucket of 36 of them for only $ 10! Definitely stop and get some when on the CityWalk!

Candy Candy Candy, it’s everywhere! If somehow you end up at the City Walk take a stroll into Sparkys for some salt water taffy. Sparkys also has many other treats including fresh mini donuts for your enjoyment. Just make sure you give the taffy the squeeze test for softness.

I couldn’t help myself and had to buy some mini donuts. I literally was staring at this place from inside Karl Strauss. It’s true that the more you buy, the better the value. They’re 6 for $ 4 or 12 for $ 5 and there are larger quantities as well. Donuts are freshly made and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. They are pretty good and perfect for sharing.

3.5 Stars! Our Universal Studios adventure yesterday led us to strolling outside at Universal City Walk. If you walk by too quickly, you will barely notice that there is a mini-donut shop in the corner. THEMOOD: The space is pretty small and you can barely fit a couple of customers in the store at a time. Thankfully, the workers here are efficient and will get you in and out of the shop fast! It was fun being able to munch on these bite sized donuts while strolling and browsing through the other stops at Universal City Walk. THE ‘TUDE: Service here was typical… We got in and got out! THEFOOD: I loved the fact that these mini donuts were only $ 5 for a dozen! I hate cold donuts and it was so nice that these came out piping hot and fresh! It really brought out the flavors of the cinnamon/sugar mix they sprinkled on top of the donuts. I also enjoyed being able to watch the mini donuts being made — I know, I get entertained so easily haha! I probably would have loved to see more variety/toppings for the donuts, but I like the concept! OVERALL: I loved the convenience and efficiency of the store and the fact that these donuts came out so fresh and hot! I will probably visit the store again when I come back to Universal Studios.
