My favorite sushi place in the area! I always pre-​order dinner and it’s always delivered on time just as I get home from work! A little pricer than other places, but it’s so much fresher than any where else!

Seriously delicious!
This is my new go-​to place for sushi delivery. They are always super fast and the fish is extremely fresh. For me, it’s a bonus that I can order online and have my craving fulfilled in about 20 minutes :)

Sushi is good here. can’t complain about that. Tasted fresh.
Service was very good, since my group was the only one there. went during the off-​peak hours.
It’s a bit pricy for not being full after eating. but I guess that was a choice I made.

I was super excited to try their food given the previous reviews. I went with my children on the weekend and it was empty which was great. They were very nice but not super attentive. The portions were huge compared to other Japanese restaurants and sushi was good but off on the presentation and the cut. I can’t complain too much but there are places that are better in the area.

Their salmon is out of this world. I can not stress this enough. I typically go for a salmon/​avocado roll and salmon hand roll– but I have tried the tuna and some other options & anything from them is just so fresh and delicious.
I come from a family of fish mongers. I have tried the best and the freshest, and Sakae is right there with them.
Do not even hesitate. If you like good fish, timely service, and overall convenience– just do it!
Seriously, you can not go wrong.

I had dinner here tonight. The Resturant is simple and must do a lot of take out. The service was good and they were very friendly. However, the resturant was very cold and we had to ask them to turn up the heat.
The sushi was pretty standard and prices were average for sushi. I would come back when in the area but not necessarily running back.

I have ordered from here before and it has been great, pretty quick. Tonight the entire bag reeked of cigarette smoke, like the driver was directly blowing into the bag it was so bad. Disgusting.

Tried this place last night because our normal spot, Hinari Sushi, is closed on Sunday’s. Really good decision. Might even be better than Hinari’s. Everything was super fresh and delicious. Definitely will be back. Prices were really reasonable as well.

First time here tonight. Looking for a place a little closer to home than my regular sushi joint. Reviews are excellent so I was looking forward to an above average experience.
Perhaps slightly above average but that’s about it. Sushi and sashimi were fresh. Pieces were a good size. Selection of rolls was standard and nothing stood out. Service was adequate although no one checked on us after our entrees were served. If this place is 4.5 s then my regular place (Nori in Montclair) is 6 s.
I would go back, just not with any haste.

Used to live in Millburn but didn’t discover this place until I bought a house in Springfield. I’ve never actually eaten at the restaurant, only ordered delivery (on a regular basis, about once a week) and lots and lots of sushi at a time ($ 130+) and my word… they really know what they are doing here. Fish is ALWAYS fresh, avocado always soft, rice always has just the right amount of vinegar and the ratio of fish to rice is second only to Yama in Manhattan. Absolutely terrific sushi, excellent customer service, and it’s the only place I now order from. The fact that they are priced so reasonably just adds to the appeal. Also, their spare-​ribs are fantastic. I know my sushi, and have been to the best in the country (like Masa) and while this place is obviously not on that level, for a neighborhood spot, they cannot be beaten by anyone in the vicinity at ANY price.

I have been eating sushi for decades, I have eaten some very fresh fish in my life. Some even too fresh. This place is delicious, the fish is fresh and artistically displayed. The fried rice is not salt like most other restaurants. The spare ribs are cooked to perfection. Theirs is the best delivery service, timely and hot food. Thx you.

Having recently moved to the area, my wife and I didn’t know what to expect from the place. It’s a small little joint on Morris Ave with a tiny parking lot. We’ve tried a lot of Japanese places from cheap local joints to Nobu in Tribeca. I can tell you that this is the best sushi I’ve had in a long time. It’s an absolute gem. Everything tasted fresh and the more popular rolls you see at every sushi place is above and beyond at this one.

Phone ordered sushi and a regular dinner entrée dish, and wanted to pick it up ourselves. We were told 15 min. Pick up was not ready within the timeslot, and we waited approx. 10 min. in the store.
Let me say that it was worth the wait. The sushi is the freshest I have ever had…
The regular meal was good, but nothing out of the ordinary — Chinese dinners considered.
If you like sushi — GO! ! ! … it is sooo good.
Prices are a little higher than other places and, for a regular meal, I would not pay the price, but for sushi — I’ll be back

This is the freshest and tastiest sushi in the area. There are two places in Millburn I used to frequent but I have stopped going to both in favor of Sakae. I always do take out but the staff is very friendly and the food is prepared very quickly. I really like the Sakae roll.

So happy I finally got to try this place! Food was yummy! Best rock shrimp I’ve had in a very long time! Incredible roll was incredible! Server was very sweet, service was a little slow but bc they have only been open a month and the food was so delicious I will Def will be back!
On a side note, don’t be fooled by the outside table and chairs! They are not for dinning just to sit and wait.
