The bagels here are consistently delicious. It can get hideously busy, and when that happens it is a bit slow, but that’s because they’re good so… what can you do? The staff are overall fine, some friendlier than others, but I’m there to grab my bagel and go so it’s no big deal if the person taking my order isn’t super excited to be doing so. The store does need a remodel or something, however, because as soon as there are more than a few people in line it becomes impossible to tell who is waiting to order and who is waiting to pay, because everyone is just standing in the same area, so finding the «line» is hard. And all those people are standing in front of cases that you might want to access. It’s just not good use of space. But the bottom line is that the food is good.

Omg why have I never been here before?!? This place is amazing it’s a cute little place with a homey environment and it’s clean the menu is real easy to read and there’s. TV in the back to watch news. But let’s talk about the real star… the food I got the turkey bacon and egg white on whole grain bagel and I added an avocado to that n omg I ordered another after that cuz it was that good. And they no that their food is good cuz they have hand crafted cream cheese u can purchase to take home. You have to go u should go u owe it to yourself

Manhattan bagels — at least this one in union has got to be my favorite bagel. So many choices — even plain. Good size — the outer has a crispiness that makes each bite a delight :)

Food was a 2 at best. The ATTITUDE of the folks behind the counter… WOWW!
I asked for pay for a prepackaged item… dirty look, I was clearly bothering him. GET A GRIP Folks, THIS IS RETAIL! If it’s a bad day for you, stay away from the counter. There are a lot of businesses competing for that dollar. LOL The food is not good enough for that entitled attitude.

LOVE THIS PLACE. Very very busy however once i finished making my drinks, I went back to the front and everybody cleared out. Very fast service for such a busy place. You can also dine in. The food is delicious but is a bit expensive. Other than that, i go to this place all the time. Good breakfast place.

My rating is generous. I’ve been here a handful of times to buy breakfast sandwiches and/​or frappes. On weekend mornings, they are very busy… easily 5 – 10 ppl on line to place orders and/​or pay at the same time. It is also very unorganized with people skipping the lines. Arrive early if you want to eat-​in (limited seating). Their sandwiches, bagels and coffee are really good. Their frappes aren’t as good as they used to be. I was there about a month ago and asked for a caramel frappé and the guy who took my order had to ask another guy behind the counter to get him the caramel sauce from the coffee station so that he can make my drink. Then, It was too sweet (no coffee taste at all)! :\ Mickey Ds makes them better. Disappointed.

Decent not amazing bagels. Fresh, chewy and better than many of the other stiff bagels in the neighborhood. But they arent great which is why only 3 stars. This place does have a small sitting area which is better than most. They have real brewed ice tea, unusual flavors of bagels. There is just something missing. Kind of has the feel of a restaurant in a mall.

What can I say that I haven’t said before. I tried the spinach bacon cheese on egg white croissant and that shit was good. To this day this place has a good selection of breakfast sandwiches and good dark roast coffee. You can’t go wrong here. That’s who I give it 5 stars.

I’m usually not the bagel buyer in this household, but we went to the gym together, so we hit up Manhattan Bagel afterwards, for a dozen to take home!
I have been here previously, I like the bagels, they always have an interesting variety. The bagels are of a good size but not super huge and over risen like other bagel spots. Bagels are fresh, and still warm! They have a nice pull on the outside and soft on the inside, just what you expect from a NY/​NJ bagel. $ 9.99 for a dozen (they don’t do a bakers dozen here) They re heat really well and are perfect for a bagel fix during the week! FYI the Cheddar Jalapeño has quite a kick!

One of the best bagel spots I’ve been to — consistency is KEY here. This establishment has been on-​par with the best bagel places I’ve been to, and every time they make what you ask, it’s spot-​on.
Been a long-​time resident of Union (my hometown), and I’ve been coming to this Manhattan Bagel for years. I haven’t had a bad experience yet. My only issue is sometimes, they’ll forget ketchup on your bagel if you ask for it. Other than that, they’re terrific. Eggs always cooked well, cheese is the PERFECT consistency, and their bagels are always the right size and texture. I’ve yet to have a bad bagel here.
I recommend calling your orders in if you know you’ll be going there, and if it’s on a weekend morning. They’re MOBBED.

I have to go 5. I know it’s a chain but I am always craving this place.
Used to frequent here a lot more when my husband and I lived closer. Now, we only come about 2x a month.
I started ordering egg whites, cheese, ketchup on a toasted multigrain bagel when I started coming here. I think they may add butter to the bagel before completing the sandwich and although it’s unnecessary, it’s so delicious! The multigrain bagel always tastes so sweet mixed with the savory eggs and cheese.
I now moved to egg whites cheese on a whole wheat wrap. Love it! Always ooZing with cheese. How they make the wrap so warm and not flaky is amazing. Very respectable. I’ll often order a breakfast wrap at other bagel places and they never manage to keep the wrap from crumbling. Hate that!
Coffee is hot and with a check in you get a free medium.
Manhattan is reliable and versatile. Get it.

Sandwiches are good and bagels are pretty fresh. In the warmer months they offer $.99 ice coffees (any size). They get busy on weekends but the service is fast. Fresh fruit is good too and makes me feel a little bit better about my taylor ham, egg and cheese sandwich.

Great place. Have lunch there at least once a month for the past 18 months… since we moved to the area. Bagels are great. Other food is high quality… meats. Always very busy but staff is quick and friendly. Do wish they had better chip options with the sandwich. I hate lays. A bit pricy, but on par with similar places in terms of price. And I often get a coupon in the mail for bogo sandwich.

This place smells heavenly. I ordered the lox with cream cheese on a honey whole wheat bagel. It was delicious but I shouldn’t have assumed they will toast it. It’s just not as good without heat. On well, I still ate the whole thing. I also tried the asiago bagel. Never had it before and it’s now my new favorite food.

This place has a really good flat bagel sandwich. I had the one with egg whites, Swiss, asparagus, and a tomato spread. I added sliced tomatoes. Pleasantly surprised how delicious it was.

I’m probably the only Jerseyan that’s never been to one of these joints. I ended my affair with carbs long ago, but every so often have to rekindle it.
My boyfriend and I were looking for a quick breakfast spot before doing some errands a few weeks ago and this came up on Unilocal.
I ordered the italian egg white sandwich– (on multigrain with sausage, peppers, and cheese) and an iced vanilla coffee.
It was pretty delish! Only con was the seating is minimal, so go earlier rather than later. Staff is super friendly too!

I love this place! We started going for breakfast in the summer and now I find myself stopping in when I pass by for a great cup of coffee. Try the classic egg breakfast sandwich. What I do like is that I get to make my own coffee, or cold drink. Small place, but decent tables to sit at to enjoy a meal or quick snack and read the paper or tinker with your laptop.
Don’t remember if they have wifi, but will update as soon as I find out.
