We absolutely love Heart and Hands. The owners, Tom and Susan, are committed to making beautiful wines from Riesling and Pinot Noir grapes, and they are committed to a quality, personal tasting experience for their guests. They are always present at the winery, they provide lovely tasting notes to accompany the wines you’re tasting, and their Claddagh Club is a great perk for Finger Lakes wine lovers. You need to be sure that you watch their clearly-marked signs about groups, buses, and limos – they are a boutique winery and simply cannot accommodate large groups. But everything they do is simply delicious – and I’m so pleased that we served their Brut Rose as a pairing at our rehearsal dinner last June. Enjoy the views, the vineyards, and the delicious flavor profiles that Tom and Susan create!

My husband and I went to a tasting a few weeks ago. They only allow small groups so that they ensure the best service possible and it was worth it. The service is impeccable. I appreciated that I didn’t feel rushed and I was able to have a second pour with the one I really loved the most. They talked about the wine and asked what your thoughts were about the tasting. They truly make you feel like you are part of the winery family! This place is definitely on our list for coming back to for our Anniversary. We are Irish, so, of course we loved the name and label. It’s a beautiful bottle and will make great holiday gifts this year. And the wine is so delicious. My husband and I have been to MANY tasting rooms in Santa Barbara County and as tasting rooms and wineries grow, they feel commercialized and touristy. It was refreshing to visit a tasting room that puts wine and people first!

Went columbus day weekend and was completely ignored. They need to have more than two staff members on a Saturday. Bad business practice. One person was weeding outside while there were two ladies to staff the entire place ONONEOFTHEBUSIEST days. This includes cashing out. We go to the fingerlakes three times a year and understand that the smaller wineries(usually our favorite) are doing the best they can. But, we have always been greeted warmly. Not here, we listened on to one of the two staff members apologizing for being understaffed to a couple at the bar. She then rang up another group out while literally looking at my husband and I and ignoring us. Another couple came in and after 10 — 15 minutes we left, because at that point, we couldn’t be sure we would even be served. =(

We had a group of 17 people, and were willing to rotate smaller groups into the space to make it easier for them to handle. We were even willing to come back later in smaller groups. We would have purchased at least a case of wine and were turned away. That’s just poor business practice. Granted, we did show up unannounced, and we didn’t taste the wine(which we have heard is incredible). It turned out that they flat out do not accommodate large groups. It just wasn’t a well handled situation despite our trying to compromise and break up our group. I wouldn’t recommend trying to come here as a large group.

The wine here isn’t really all that great, when you compare the price/quality to surrounding vineyards. Maybe it would be justified if you want a commemorative label for a wedding or something but I wouldn’t buy it again.

My brother had a custom label made to ask his lady to marry him, Heart and Hands has been a favorite since. They are part of their club which I think gives them wine shares monthly. My sister in law was greeted by name when we arrived by friendly folks providing tastings behind the counter. We did a barrel room tasting. I highly recommend this small private setting. You learn a great deal about their vineyards and wine in general. We heard the history of many regions, talked about soil, bugs, picking, genetics, growing without pesticides etc. I would certainly recommend stopping here with a small group. They do not provide services to busses.

Heart and Hands is the perfect winery for my wife and me. I love Pinot Noir, she loves Rieslings and this is exactly what they specialize in. We have been members of the Heart and Hands [Claddagh] wine club for a year now, and very happy that we are. On my last visit, I raised my membership so we’llhave more to enjoy during the year. Heart and Hands is a small family vineyard located on the east side of Cayuga Lake(not really on the«main drag» where you will be warmly welcomed to taste their excellent selections of Pinot Noir and Rieslings. Tom and Susan, the owners and winemakers are extremely personable, and guide you through your tasting experience. Their single vineyard Rieslings are all rich and fruity, nice viscosity, complex, with a long tasty finish. The Pinots are well balanced with multiple layers of taste that keeps you wanting more. They also have a white pinot noir called«Polarity» and a Brut Rose(sparkling wine.) Both of these are classy wines that live up to the philosophy of the winery to «craft the best wines possible from these Finger Lakes vineyards.» I like the note on their«TASTEOURPASSION.» Clearly they have a lot of passion for what they do.

I recently went to Heart and Hands Winery and was extremely impressed. Tom and Susan, the wine makers and owners, were very welcoming and informative. They are a small winery, located a bit off the wine trail, and specialize in Riesling and Pinot Noir. Both blew me away but i found the Polarity(white pinot noir) and Brut Rose(sparkling wine) to be exceptional and unusual. I consider myself to be an experienced Finger Lakes wine consumer and definitely put Heart and Hands on the top of my list for all areas: tasting room, extremely knowledgeable staff and wine. I will definitely go back.
