Summit Pizza is the unsung hero of pizza in Union City. They make a classic, NY-​style pizza with no frills the right way and the delivery fast. Having a reliable and neighborhood pizza joint is an important part of life.

I Have Ordered From Summit Pizza For Over A Year or So, & I Love Their Food. But For The Past 6 Months or So, They Have Messed Up My Orders More Times Than I Can Count With My 2 Hands. By The Time They Actually Get The Order Right The Food Is Cold & Stiff. The Last Time I Ordered Was On Feb 16th 2016, This Time They Brought Me The Wrong Order, & It Took Them Almost An Hour To Deliver & Still Did My Order Wrong. & On Top of That, I Come To Find Out That I’m Being Charged For My Order & Someone Else’s Order. I Have Spoken To Sam, The Owner More Than I Should Have. Clearly He Doesn’t Care About How His Business Is Ran Nor About His Customers Orders. I’M DONE WITH SUMMIT PIZZA…

They told me my order was out for delivery when I called (already an hour after I ordered). Called back 20 minutes later and then they tell me they never got my order.
I ordered online at 6:55 pm. Got confirmation email from online company. Then got confirmation texts + a «delivery is out» confirmation text. They straight up lied to me when I called and asked where my order was and went with «oh its out its out». I didn’t find out they never got my order until 8:30 even though at 8:15 when I called them they said my order was out for delivery. Really scummy move.
I don’t do business with people who I know aren’t trustworthy. I suggest you order from somewhere else.

Online order took 2 hours when estimated time was one hour. The least they should have done was call to let me know they were running behind.
Food arrived lukewarm, which meant soggy fries and rubbery cheese on pizza. No dressing provided for the salad and the four pieces of chicken were… sad.
Too many other mediocre pizza places available in the neighborhood to bother giving this place another try.

This was my second time ordering from Summit Pizza. My husband and I got a pepperoni Sicilian pizza pie which was cheesy good and will last us 2 – 3 days! I haven’t tried the regular pie yet, but the two times we ordered Sicilian pies… they were hot and oozing with cheese (see photo)! Summit is generous with their cheese! I also ordered lasagna which was delivered hot and included bread. Also, the delivery man is very sweet and polite! That’s an extra plus!

I really wanted to love the chicken– I am barely liking it. The chicken just seems old, not fresh. Freshness is the most essential feature of fried chicken. What a shame because the lightly battered pieces are to my liking. I do not like overly battered fried chicken. This was lightly battered with flour. They are fried well, they just don’t taste very good. There is no seasoning either. I prefer chicken with seasoning on the meat and in the flour.
I am happy with the ease of ordering and the prompt delivery.
Maybe next time I will give the pizza a try. The reviews weren’t that strong but it seems the business has been around for a while and I like to support restaurants that have long history to them.
Maybe other times of the day or week or month the chicken is fresher. I regret it not being today.

What a bunch of people who don’t care about customer service! First I ordered for pick up and when I get there my order wasn’t finished in the time frame given, then I walk 7blocks home in snow and open my pasta dishes and all three are wrong! When I called and asked them to send the right dishes they refused because «we aren’t gonna loose the money on the dishes» they told me I can walk back and they would fix the dishes In the snow! I also ordered 2antipasta that tasted like the lettuce hadn’t been washed didn’t have mozzarella cheese in them and meat was 1slice of each ham Provelone and salami rolled together and sliced for over $ 7 each I would never order there again nor would I suggest them to a friend

This place bring tons of memories to the downtown Union City people. I can remember all the pizza after Emerson High football games.
I still love this pizza. I do come back from time to time just to walk down memory lane.

The fried chicken was unbelievable! We ordered delivery through grubhub and it arrived 10 minutes before the predicted time I love that! The ribs were good but not nearly as much as the amazingly crispy flavorful fried chicken. We also got a white pizza with broccoli, ricotta, and red onions and we were pretty happy with it. And to top it all off, it was refreshing that each delivery driver thanked is for our order and our tip friendly and professional

Most mediocre cheese slice I’ve had in a while. Honestly, it was worst than chain pizzerias and the establishment was probably 80 something degrees inside, I mean I get its a pizzeria but come on I was sweating so profusely I had to leave.

Summit Pizza is the only pizza in Union City that makes good quality sauce! I love them! The only thing I don’t like is when you call them ahead to pick up a slice they tell you they can’t unless you are inside the restaurant. Like what??? Lol anywho the food is good I have had the mussels and some pasta pretty good!

Pizza arrived late. It was also cold and half of it was crushed. Cheese stuck to the inner cardboard.
The dough was spongy and difficult to chew. This place used to make great pizza. It’s been getting worse with each time I order.
I think i’ll look for pizza someplace else.

As pizza goes, it was fairly decent. A flavorful crust, perfect amount of cheese, fresh veggies, and yummy sausage. However, when the pizza arrived it was barely warm.
Good value for the price. May try to order from them again!
