Queen of up selling. The owner ViVi, She is always looking to sell products, give you a mani-​pedi or hair oil treatment in addition to whatever you came in for. With that she’s friendly, kind and always remembers me and my boyfriend. ViVi certainly had that neighborhood charm. I understand she has a business to run and with that, offering her services to her customers.
I got my eye brows waxed and it was easy schmeezy in addition to quick in and out for 10 $. Although the lady didn’t apply pressure after pulling the wax strips, but it was the lesser painful waxes I’ve had. I’d go again for that.
Somehow when the lady ran my card it became 10.75 though. A 75cent charge for using a card?
Another time I’ve been here I got highlights and a pedicure. The highlights turned out great and have lasted well. Personally I like when they’ve faded a little and look natural so I’m happy with them still even though I got them in June. But the hair cut didn’t flow like I wanted. I might go again to see what happens if I describe the look I’m going for better.

Vivi was very nice and did a good job on my hair and eyebrows. The prices here are great!

This salon is quite close to were i live so I usually go to get my eyebrows waxed for $ 10. So one day I decided to maybe try out getting my hair dyed a burgundy red color from here. My end result was not very pleasing, looked exactly the same, with patches of un-​even color. $ 60 down the drain. I would have expected the hair dressers to know what to do. It was a bad experience for me, I wish at the time of this I would have asked for my money back, too late now. I didn’t even get the color I wanted and a waste of my hard earned money

I met the owner Vivi she was very nice and very helpful my son got a haircut and he was very pleased and it made him feel confident.

Not pleased at all. I went in for a bangs trim, and the lady practically chopped all my bangs off within seconds. I walked out of there angry. but hoping that it would grow back quickly. It’s been two months and it has finally grown back. Each stage leading up to it being fully grown out was awful– there were certain strands longer than others and my bangs didn’t fall the same way they used to. Extremely frustrating.

I have been getting my hair cut, colored and highlighted by Vivi for over 6 years now.
Not only is she one of my good friends but she offers very affordable prices and is very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and does a great job every time. She also specializes in shellac nails, facials, eyelash extension, waxing and makeup for special occasions.
The salon is clean, relaxing and has a nice low-​key atmosphere. I love that every time I come in, they never keep me waiting, even if there is a long line.
I always receive so many compliments every time I get my hair done and I highly recommend this salon to everyone!

I just got a haircut here from Vivi. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and did an awesome job. She also recommended a couple of products for taking care of my hair, but she wasn’t pushy about it. Overall, I had a great experience and am happy with the haircut. I’ll definitely be back next time.

I feel like I’m writing an obituary.
Kelly sold the salon, and it’s now called SHEAR PERFECTION (if you’re in the neighborhood, there’s one in Union City, IN too).
I saw the sign a month ago, but didn’t think much of it.
I guess I was hoping that Kelly had simply renamed the salon.
I’m not going to miss Kelly (she was hardly around), but I am going to miss Thi and Mieu. They were hot (oh yeah), friendly, and competent.
Thi has been my friend for 8 years, and so I left her a message on Sunday. I heard months ago that the salon was moving, but Thi said that nothing was going on when I asked her about it in February. I wonder if this all happened quickly or if Thi wasn’t kept in the loop.
In terms of SHEAR PERFECTION (the sign, by the way, could have been designed better– SHEAR looks like SHEAA from a distance), my dad was pleased with the haircut that he recently got.
I stopped by on Saturday, but didn’t feel like waiting (my wife and I would have also had to sit apart because of where these 2 customers were sitting).
With a few exceptions, the interior remains unchanged, and is as nice as ever.
In addition, the 2 hairstylists who greeted me were friendly and helpful.
I’m bummed, and will probably start getting my hair cut at a place near my house now (I checked, and there’s no indication that Kelly’s Hair Salon moved– there’s one in San Francisco, but it’s run by an entirely different Kelly).
I better get a haircut soon. I know that it’s no coincidence that there have suddenly been some sightings of Bigfoot in the area (I hope my son doesn’t grow up to be as hairy as I am).
So long, Kelly’s Hair Salon. I’m really going to miss you.

I found Kelly’s Hair Salon when I moved down the street and was looking for a nearby salon and they happened to be around the corner. For convenience i give them 5 stars for those who lives nearby. If you need a last minute hair cut, mani pedi, wax. Its all here. Prices are affordable. Although its not one of those fancy salons but they can meet your needs.
Kelly who used to own the Salon has now left the business and had put her trust to her niece, Thi (T), to take over. T is popular for men’s haircut. She can get busy all day with clients back to back. The salon only has a staff of 3 plus 1 nail technician who is only there on Wednesdays but they can do regular mani pedi daily. They should hire one more hair stylist that has enough experience to give clients with updated modern looks. Because the other hair stylist (I forgot her name) is still in the learning process. She also does mani pedi and does a decent job. So if it’s your first time here, definitely go see T.
I used to come here regularly for hair color and T always delivered! Recently, I decided to try vibrant colored highlights which I think is not available here so I went to a different salon and fell inlove with them. So I only come here now for mani pedi and T’s mom does a great job every time. She always does what I want with my nails with or without design. (No gel/​acrylic though) And the polish stays for a long time.
Although they have done some new painting and added new furnitures, they could probably use another update to the place to attract more customers. Or maybe T to rename the salon to make it her own because I’m sure she has made some loyal clients. It’s time for the name «Kelly» to retire. I think they have potential to compete with nearby salons if they do more interior and exterior updates and hire more experienced stylists.
