4 stars? Really? I walked in and the guy working there didn’t say hi or bothered to look at me. He was looking at his phone behind the counter despite me walking right in front of him. I was trying to find vitamin for diabetics and would have appreciated some help but that was too much to ask. Right before I walked out, another customer came in and the clerk still didn’t look up from his phone. Great customer service.

It’s a great store it’s organized and clean but the service isn’t that good every time I come in the employees are in the back and they seem to run up to the cash register when I walk in and that shows poor management.

I literally created a Unilocal account just to rave about my experience in this store today! Sal was amazing! He knew what he was talking about and got me even more excited for this weight loss journey i am on. I will travel to this store from San Leandro just based on my experience today! Thanks again Sal!

Great store, family owned. The guys there look intimidating but don’t bite the bait. They’re all nice guys their muscles just make them seem mean. Sal, Ferdows and Anthony are great employees that know their products first hand. They will give you honest opinions and not push a product they’re meant to advertise. They price match which is a great way to market. These employees actually love fitness and are willing to help others achieve their fitness goals.

I went there today for the first time, it was ok. Big sign on Unilocal and in front of the store that says «SALE 30% OFF.» Service was okay, the guy was at least able to answer the questions I had which was helpful. Two things about this place however really irked me.
1. I went home and looked at my receipt, apparently not everything is 30% off. I just wanted to call and clarify and make sure it wasn’t a mistake. Nobody picked up, I called like 3 or 4 different times, I guess nobody works there even though I saw 3 employees there and they were not busy 30 minutes ago.
2. I’m a big amazon prime shopper. I looked for everything I bought on amazon, I found almost everything cheaper on amazon for the same exact thing and same brand. I could have even gotten double the amount for the same exact product for cheaper than their «30% off». What a rip off, I feel duped.
Needless to say, I won’t be back here. Wayyy overpriced.

Why is no one ever at this store. I’m just going to give my business to the gnc at Newpark Mall or the GNC in Fremont even though this one is the closest to me. One light on in the back no out for lunch sign, Google says it’s open today. I called the other two GNCs and they’re open today. I called this one and there was an infinite dial tone. I specifically set up time to go today because it said online they were going to be open. What a waste of time.

Meh. Walked in. Store is extremely small. Anthony was at register helping a customer as she talked on her cell phone. Didn’t acknowledge me, greet me, look my direction. Walked around the store looking for a product. Shelves are bare. Did one full lap, still no communication from Anthony. Walked right on out.

New management here and drastically better experience. If u forget the gold card ask the check out guy and he will apply the store card to give u a healthy discount.

Best GNC Ever! The employees and store owner were very helpful and friendly. Great discounts too! I purchased an item that was hard to find at GNC stores.. I was pretty surprised this store carried it. (Sweet sweat) I also purchased censor pills for toning which the owner recommend. He really knows his products and well educated behind all products in his store. I noticed this store carries a lot of items that are only sold on GNC website so that was a big plus!
I recommend this store! Highly stocked items. Great ownership. Friendly people. They know their stuff! I wish more GNC owners and employees were more like this store. I give it 5 STARS!:)

Went in to get some protein but didn’t know what kind would be right for me the sales associate, Jay was really helpful and knowledgeable and recommended About Time protein and gave me a free shaker. Excited !!

Purchased a weight gainer from pleasanton store that I was really unhappy with from a clueless sales person yesterday.
Walked into union city store and was greeted by Ammy. Told him what I was looking for and he was great! Very knowledgeable and extremely professional. I returned what I bought from other store and purchased exactly what I was looking for from Ammy as well as a blender he recommended to get the best results.

Finally a New owner! Went in yesterday new owner really knows what he’s talking about. Hooked me up with a gold card and the best part he gives the 20% goldcard discount everyday!

I wish I read the ONLY review for this place.
First off, this GNC is out of date and seriously a disgraced to the plaza and the brand name. I mean come on… the GNC sign is faded to pink. That’s a sign to get it back into shape.
My purpose for this visit is because I wanted to exchange a box of lean shake to another flavor which I preferred over. Riaz, the GNC employee was polite enough to ask for the receipt to do the exhange, with a glance he simply said I can’t do this exchange because it was paid with a GOLD MEMBER discount. uh. I PAID for this membership to get a discount for the overpriced products.
Like David had mentioned in his review, this GNC store would have to pay a cost adjustment to provide me an exchange and that it would be impossible to do… (I went to the GNC in Fremont and got it exchanged in 5 minutes along with them valuing my GOLD membership to buy MORE if i like OUTSIDE of the first 7 days discount deal).
My argument with him. I’m READING the return policy right behind him as I asked him to read and confirm my understanding. He said it doesn’t apply to GOLD MEMBERS. really? That’s some serious reality check if it didnt apply I would definitely had not paid for this membership.
If he’s the owner, I wish GNC corp revoke his franchise and renovate the place while their at it.
