My husband and I stopped by at the suggestion of one of the local men that we had been talking to while fishing. When we pulled up there is nothing but a large dirt pad around the store that provides the parking. The store is also deceivingly small looking from the outside. Inside it’s clean with about three tables near the counter. I browsed the shelves while we waited for our«pulled pork samiches» and there was quite a bit to be found. My husband ordered the hot pulled pork while I ordered the medium. Both were amazing. The sauce is very good! Now I’m not normally a Cole slaw eater, but I ventured a taste of the slaw that she served us. It was crisp, mildly sweet, and I enjoyed it immensely. We will be stopping by there next time for sure..

We stopped by here on our way to our cottage at Caddo Lake and used the grocery part of the store, not the BBQ. I wish I had tried the BBQ there because what we had in Marshall was disappointing. The grocery store was quite small but well equipped with everything a tourist may need but forgot to bring in order to make the trip fun. Snacks, beer, condiments, even bug spray. The guy at the cashier was really friendly. It’s a cool little spot.

Just in case you’re not sure where to stop while in the tiny town of Uncertain, Texas, we are totally sure that this is a great place. It’s run by a couple that have their plates full(and filled ours) as it’s a grocery store that offers Caddo Lake Tours, and they serve up some mighty fine BBQ made right there! So grab ya a cold one out of the ice coolers and chow down. This was exactly what we were looking for as we wanted some water and snacks, after having just taken a tour of the lake via Caddo Lake Steamboat Company.(Lake Caddo is the only natural lake in Texas) We were in the mood that we could go for a beer, plus we were hungry. Their BBQ was outstanding. We had brisket sandwiches, loaded with juicy smoked meat that they smoke in the back yard, and slice fresh when you order it. We also tried their sausages both stand alone and on a sandwich as well, and I managed to knock out half a dozen of their stuffed and smoked grilled jalapenos, the best I have ever had in my life. The owner grew them in his own garden and said that this years crop came out a little hotter than those ones Texas A&M grows(poking some good fun at the TAME(TAMU) Jalapeño variety. These were not tame by any means. Car parking on the street, boat parking on the lake. This is a totally excellent fun and relaxed place to stop. They have all the bases covered and are good friendly folks. We will stop by every time while in Uncertain Texas. For sure. :)
