I’ve heard of the Cattle Barons’ Gala for years, as my in-laws generally go every year. Now that I live in east Texas, I had to find out what all the buzz was about. Immediately, I was impressed, as this is an extremely well organized event, and it’s put together in a very classy manner, even though it takes place on a ranch, somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Possibly where God left his shoe. Who knows? All jokes aside, the Rio Neches Ranch is a beautiful place. The demographics: Predominately upper class white folk. Or, as the mainstream media would negatively say, A bunch of elitist, «privileged,» white, gun toting, Republicans. To their dismay, the ethnic cleansing of the evil white race(e.g. open borders) hasn’t fully come to fruition… just yet. The event itself featured a silent auction, better than expected food, catered by John Soules Food, a bar with all types of liquor, margarita machines, and troughs filled with beer. Live music was highlighted by Joe Nichols. I’m not really a country music fan, but he was really good. The crowd was great, no fights– hence the demographics {wink}. With so many CC holders in one place, at one time, how could this be? {Media shaking their heads} Once again, humor aside, the most important aspect of this event, is that the proceeds go to a good cause: American Cancer Society. It was a great, fun filled event, that I will definitely attend again next year.
