Stopped here for dinner because I saw all the good ratings. They didn’t disappoint! I had the BBQ pork special, which was excellent! Too much food for me to eat! Very friendly staff and excellent food!

Stopped in because of other good Unilocal reviews. So glad we did! Had the chicken tacos w/rice and beans, and the chicken bacon avocado sandwich with a salad. Both were delicious! Amazed by the quality of the chicken sandwich from a Mexican restaurant! It was on point! Tacos tasty and authentic. Everything was fresh and delicious. I wish I would’ve took pics to share. If I’m back this way again I’m going to try a pasta dish or the vegetarian fajita tacos. Another table ordered that and it looked amazing!

Very good food! Service is fast and friendly. One of the best places to eat in the Methow Valley. Wish there was more seating(cant really accommodate a large party) and wish they had a liquor license so we could get margaritas! Daily specials are very yummy! Kids menu is lacking. Burger prices are high, but the Mexican dishes are great. Would highly recommend!

This tiny little restaurant is hiding big flavor! La Fonda Lopez is an amazing place to find fresh, delicious and well made Mexican food. The menu boasts pasta and burgers as well, but I would say the feel of the place is a little more true to its Mexican style dishes. The service was friendly and well timed. The ambience is kind of small town friendly. Maybe it’s because the tables are a little closer together than is usual, but you get a feeling of community, like everyone is a regular. It was nice. I had the fajita tacos, and they were awesome. The vegetables were cooked in a garlic, ginger, onion-y tasting marinade that made me feel less locked away in the fast food and pizza island that is Okanogan County. I can’t even begin to describe how happy it made me to eat well made and fresh food. I will be making the trip to Twisp more often to get a taste of something worth tasting. Great job!

Definitely worth the stop here. It is pretty small place but the food is amazing. We really enjoyed our meal. We ordered the shrimp Tequila lime tostada, beef Fajitas and shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo in white wine sauce. We will definitely be back next time we visit the area.

Great find in Twisp! I had the beef fajitas and my fiancé the short ribs special and both were outstanding. The salsa provided pre-meal with chips was above average free salsa. Very good stuff. Great service too. We will definitely make this a staple of our visits to the area.

Pretty good Mexican. Certainly better than any of your plastic menu, big booth chains. The best thing about this place… and what gave it a four star instead of a three… was the salsa. It was out of this world. I could have scooped it up with a spoon straight(or yeah, I think I did). The Carne Asada was passible… not spectacular. My husband had the tamales which he claimed were above average. Place a bit pricy, but not too bad(35 $ for lunch). Overall the place was great. Keep eating local

So baffled by the great reviews. menu is all over the place — Asian, italian, mexican. my motto is, when you see that, run. we didn’t and I wish we had. we ordered two shrimp dishes — a tequila lime tostada and a shrimp burrito. there was absolutely nothing tequila like about the burrito. and there was nothing fajita about the massive shrimp burrito, which consisted mostly of rice and beans. chips tasted store bought. server was super nice and friendly and efficient. zero ambience here. would not return. my first clue should have been the lack of anyone else in the restaurant.

We dined here with a group of friends prior to New Years. Litltle if no spicing or flavor for most of meals. Something was missed. Most bland Mexican food our party of 7 ever ate. We have dined here in the past, always liked their salsa, used to be great.

Stopped in La Fonda Lopez last Thursday evening, my parents live here in Twisp so they treat me whenever I am visiting. I ordered the Chicken Mole, its not on the main menu, and since it was a special on this night I had to try it. The mole was thick and rich but not real sweet and the chicken was fall of the bone tender. Very happy with it. My mom got the Clam chowder with spinach and leeks,(she was worried about the spinach being in it) but she loves clam chowder so she couldn’t pass it up, this was also on the special menu. Afterwards she told me she thinks it was the best clam chowder she has ever eaten. Another great dinner at La Fonda Lopez !!

We decided to give this a try after a day of sightseeing. The restaurant is very quaint, it was busy but not loud or irritating, for starters was the chips and homemade salsa, very good both, I decided to try the beef tacos I got 4 tacos and they were awesome. The beef was in chunks and melted in your mouth, avocado slices adorned each taco 1 I ate 3.5 tacos the beans were also delicious they are whole pintos and cooked just right. the rice was perfect also I will be back. My love had the chicken fajitas hey we’re awesome. Plenty of food the chicken was seasoned with a hint of cumin we believe that gave them a unique flavor. Anyway we left full and content. Try it out

The Lopez family has created a gem in Twisp. Kindness and warmth emanate, food is freshly cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Shrimp fajitas were delicious, large portion, and OMG satisfying! They’ve added a little fenced outdoor seating which is very welcoming. Don’t miss it.

Across from the chevron station and next to the twisp river pub, you might not notice the little house on the corner. But you should stop and enjoy the food. With just ten tables, it’s full house at most dinner times here, but you won’t have to wait long. I had a pork burrito and my wife had the tequila lime shrimp. Portions are ample. The burrito had lots of pork, and wasn’t drowning in sauce like so many places feel they have to do. The salsa is spicy and smoky; I recommend it for a topping. They Also serve a few Italian dishes for those who don’t want Mexican or want some variety. Beer list is small but fine. The Alaskan Amber goes well with the food. Service is also very good. We will be back soon!

La Fonda Lopez is a great addition to the Methow Valley dining scene, and should be your next stop for lunch or dinner when in the area! The menu variety is at first confusing(faijtas, hamburgers and linguini?) but, don’t worry, it just means there is something for everyone. On our first trip we tried the Tequila Lime Prawn Tostada and the Chicken Mole, both of which were flavorful, extremely filling, and artfully presented. After being more than satisfied with our meals(and reading the reviews of the parm rice), I can’t wait to go back and try their other options. This is literally a mom-and-pop operation, which means you might wait a little longer as the owner is also the chef and is cooking each plate just for you. However, it is well worth the wait, and I encourage you to try it instead of just heading to the Twisp River Pub like usual, you’ll be glad you did!

La Fonda Lopez is a decent Mexican family restaurant in downtown Twisp. In business for 6 months now, La Fonda offers a nice alternative to the other dining places in Twisp, especially when there are long waits at the Twisp River Pub. Definitely a mom and pop shop(maybe with junior helping out too), the food was good and they are creative on putting a spin on traditional dishes, for example their ‘parmesan’ rice. I had a delicious surf and turf(I know, it’s a Mexican restaurant but I wanted steak). The steak was well seasoned rib eye and not tough at all and 6 large prawn cooked perfectly with a side of mixed veggies of broccoli and carrots. The parmesan rice was interesting, I’m not a big fan of rice, but I think a lot of people will like it. The only negative and I’m sure they’re working on it, is that there’s a lot of remodeling to be done. The windows are very drafty and the door doesn’t stay closed. I’m sure it’ll look great when it’s done.

Small Mexican joint next to Twisp Pub and the Suites. We had friendly service by a family shop with a cozy atmosphere and lively Mexican Music CDs playing at dinner time. The menu has plenty of traditional Mexican dishes, thier own fusion creations and seafood options to choose from. The catfish special was calling to me, served with an avocado in a wrap with Raoutille sauce. Simple but Yum.
