Ordered delivery. It took over an hour which I would of been ok with, but the food was cold by the time it got here. I ordered lamb and paid over $ 12 for it, and it came in a cup which was disappointing. I also ordered the vegetarian plate. It had soggy potatoes and cold tofu. The rice and garlic naan were good which is the only reason i gave two stars. But in my opinion not worth it for how much i paid.

Been here many times. Still the best Tikka Masala around. I stop in here whenever I’m in the area.

GREATFOOD. AWESOMEOWNER. I have never gone into the restaurant to eat but usually order for delivery via the Eat24 app. I have also ordered directly to Guru Palace without Eat24 when my orders get a little complicated. The owner always picks up the phone and is super nice. He always says«Ok, no problem!» He is usually the one who delivers the food in his minivan. I have ordered almost everything on the menu from Lamb Saag, Lamb Vindaloo, Chicken Tikka Misala, Chicken Korma, etc, etc. I used to do medium thinking it was spicy enough(it wasn’t). I recommend ordering EXTRASPICY if you are the type of person who likes to eat spicy food. The level of spicy here is very, very mild. A medium = mild here A spicy = medium An extra spicy = spicy I have always had a good experience with Guru Palace. Normally when we forget to tip: if this was the owner, we’d tell him«hey we don’t have cash» and he’d say«Okay, that’s alright.» Sometimes we forget to mention the cash tip(because we usually do app tip) the owner would not mention it. In most cases *I* remember the cash tip after he leaves! The owner is so understanding we always tip him double or triple the amount the next time we order. This is our go-to Indian delivery place.

We ordered delivery via the Eat24 via the Unilocal app. We selected the 2 for 1 deal for $ 31.99 which included mixed grill, Tikki Masala, Tandoori chicken and garlic naan bread to name a few. Great meal, even Allen loved it and he isn’t a Indian food fan. Big portion sizes! The only negative is delivery took longer than the delivery time by 30 minutes. Will eat in next time instead of ordering.

Decent indian food for buffet and authentic for tustin. Price is fair for this area. Came on a sunday at lunch hour and we were the only ones there. Don’t come for service because the owner does not care or even ask whether we wanted more coffee, water or whether we needed our plates cleared. Only come if you just want decent indian food.

The food itself was not disappointing but the delivery quality was sub-par. The driver called to get the exact location and hung up before I finished speaking with him, prompting me to call back. When he arrived at my location he did not go to the door, he left his car running and waited for me to get my money from the house and take the food from the street. I did not receive everything I ordered and will not be doing business with them anymore.

Excellent Indian food. I’ve been to many India places in Orange County and this beats most of them. I don’t hesitate to recommend this place.

My husband and I planned to go for ramen at the same plaza but it was closed. We decided to have the buffet. There was food but not a lot due to not having customers. I wanted to have the salad but since it was sitting out I can see the fruit fly hanging out. Food wasn’t bad. The place was dark and old. Hopefully business can survive.

I really liked the food. The chicken tiki masala is amazing, naan is fantastic and fluffy and I got a few appetizers as well. My only complaint is the price. It was a little much for two people. Everything should have been like $ 2 – 4 dollars less than it was. But for delivery, it came super hot, fresh and tasty. I wanna try the all you can eat. I bet that’s worth 5 stars.

Terrible service. We asked for dish to be made with less cream and it seems the dish was made with more cream. It caused stomach upset and we had to throw away some of the food. We called to complaint and they were not apologetic. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Overall quality of food was low grade and amateur.

When I walked inside, I couldn’t help but notice how old fashion the décor was. Yellow tablecloth, dining chairs with noticeable wear, bordered by plain white walls. It looked like I walked into someone’s house in the 1990s. The interior design probably has not been updated for over two decades. The ambiance is definitely not going to impress a date, and fortunately I was only there to pick up a to-go order. I ordered the«Vegetarian dinner for 1» which is essentially a Punjabi vegetarian thali that includes naan, raita, and dessert. The server had difficulty explaining to me what«two servings of vegetable of the day» are included in the thali. After some miscommunication, I figured out that it meant to pick from a limited list of vegetable curries such as chana masala, vegetable jalfrezi, dal makhani, palak paneer, etc. I selected chana masala and bengan bharta, two of the most typical Punjabi curries. Usually when the«vegetables of the day» is restricted to certain varieties, I become nervous because there is a possibility that buffet leftovers would be reheated and served. Guru Palace claims to not reheat or microwave their food, and it turns out to be true. While waiting for the to-go order, I heard the tawa being used and did not hear sounds of a microwave door being open and shut. Food made to order. The bengan bharta was my favorite dish in the thali. The brinjals were clearly roasted until it’s tender before cooked in the tawa with mild spices. It tasted homecooked, with distinct smoky flavors unlike some local Punjabi restaurants that cover the roasted eggplant taste with sugar and caramelized onions. However, I was not really a fan of seeing the humongous grease bomb accumulated at the bottom of the tray. Chana masala was good, although not the spicy version that I prefer, but it had the tangy and rich flavors to pair with rice. Dal makhani was the worst out of the three vegetables — ultra bland and the tomato-based gravy was almost tasteless. At least it wasn’t overly creamy. Guru’s naan is a thick restaurant version, not the thin crispy variation. Give them credit for actually using a tandoor to bake the naan, but unfortunately the piece that was given was overcooked. The edges were completely charred. How can it be approved by the chef? The food quality in the thali was acceptable to good, but the price tag of $ 10.95 was not really reasonable. For the portions given, I think the thali is overpriced by around $ 2 to $ 3. India Sweets and Spices on the other side of the strip mall has a similar vegetarian platter for half the price($ 5.99). Either the prices at Guru have to drop or the portions have to increase for me to return. «Vegetarian dinner» is a misleading description on the menu because a lunch portion was given. My take-out box was also missing raita. «A-OK» sums up my take-out meal from Guru Palace.

Just got dinner delivered tonight, wasn’t expecting much but was surprised by the quality and flavors. I’ll definitely order again and again! Both chutneys were delicious, I could eat them with a spoon. The chicken tikka masala was crazy good and it was all white meat from the tandoor oven. Sag paneer was yummy too! Ordered way too much, I’ll have enough for lunch for two days. After tip it was around $ 35! Not bad for an appetizer, two entrees, raita, rice, naan, and dessert!!!

I was craving Indian and this place is right across the street from where I live. I’ve read on here that the restaurant itself is dirty and small, but that the food is awesome, so I decided to call in a pickup order of Chicken Tikka Masala, Rice, and a Mango Lassi. It was ready 25 minutes later(yay!). When I walked into Guru, I was immediately glad I ordered a pickup order. The place smelled funny and there was 1 diner. It’s a true hole in the wall and very unsanitary-looking. I’d never eat inside there. However, when I got home, the food was AMAZE-BALLS. Seriously, some of the best Chicken Tikka Masala I’ve EVER had. I made the right decision doing a pickup for sure. Only gripe: I paid $ 20 for my meal. While it was delicious, the price would make me think twice before ordering again… I’d have to really be craving that sweet, creamy masala. Which is very probable haha

I was feeling too lazy to make dinner or grab takeout. And I really wasn’t in the mood for pizza. I downloaded the EAT24 app and saw this place listed and they deliver. I figure I give it a shot. Chicken Tikka Masala — More creamy and sweet than what I typically fine, but otherwise just fine. Somosa — The filling seemed to be seasoned well. Aloo Gobi — Nothing wrong here. Lamb Biriyani — lamb was a little dry but it was fine. Naan — I’ve had great naan in India. Unfortunately the naan here doesn’t compare because it’s too thick. All in all, good Indian food.

So the minute I got to the parking lot, I wanted to turn around and go to my favorite Indian spot in Orange… but since we had a group meeting here I was stuck eating here. So when I walked in, it looked like a hole in the wall and not alot of options to choose from but once i got my plate of food and actually tired it, i thought wow! this food is good, full of good flavors and fresh garlic Naan. The waiter or owner was friendly, he kept refilling our glass of water and took our dirty dishes away. I really liked their Tikki Marsala and some potatoe/cauliflower curry thing along with the Naan. Food is very tasty, naan is delicious, location/décor is Ugly, price is good.
