Do It Right Remodeling

Edan and Aviran not only manage the construction process from start to finish, they bring amazing design ideas to the table as well. They really listened to what I was looking for in my bathroom model and created a beautiful computerized rendering of exactly what it would look like. They were hands-​on in suggesting finishes and fixtures and stuck to the budget I established from the very beginning. And as an added bonus, you couldn’t find a nicer (and funnier) team of brothers.

Do It Right Remodeling gets an A for: charm, stories about cooking, their product samples, and their swift arrival on «pay day». I am from Boston and my husband is from Minnesota, so we stressed how important it was that the work was high-​quality (Minnesota is the home of quality/​Anderson Windows and Cambria). My husband thought Edan the owner was too flirty and laid on the charm and salesmanship way too much, but Edan promised he could get us the Cambria counter top NO ONE else could — so we hired him. We regretted this decision even since (too bad i can’t put zero/​negative star rating).
Here is a simple list of what we asked for, followed with what Do It Right delivered delivered.
1. We asked for solid wood cabinets which are American Made. Edan delivered 100% Chinese MDF (warps included) kitchen cabinets and hardware.
2. We asked for soft-​close Cabinet doors. Edan did not give us soft close, but said he would fix it «at end of project» but never did.
3. We asked for Cambria counter tops (thats why we hired him). Edan delivered our distant 2^nd choice after having to spend an entire day shopping with him to find it. The cherry on-​top was him charging us extra to «source the material».
4. We asked for a black wood, Napa Valley themed niche-​bar area with butcher block. Edan delivered white wood, and a cherry-​wood surface to replace our butcher block. Edan explained that «The cherry-​wood is more expensive» (we don’t care if it was solid platinum, we wanted butcher block). The cabinets in this area were solid wood like we wanted in the kitchen, but the wood was white — not black like we asked for.
5. We asked Edan to be on time with HIS timeline that all parties agreed to, but he left our demoed kitchen for 10 days with no work being done.
6.Fit & Finished issues: cracks in grout, warped MDF «wood», untrimmed wood, cracked tile/​broken tile, crown modeling that does not match cabinet color, and the list goes on/​too bad I can’t post pictures like I thought.
As you could see, we did not get what we paid for and the list is a lot longer then this — but we hope you get the point. Do It Right Remodeling will do it right for themselves, but not for us — the customer.
We gave Edan and Do It Right a civil but firm face to face review of their work and they knew we are unhappy. They delivered material of lesser value then Ikea at custom home prices, so how surprised do you think we were when they posted shots of our house with my name to social media sites like Houzz? Our blood boiled as once again, Edan did not listen to our clear disapproval of his work. Instead we see our home and our name all over the internet. I hope you find this review useful as this is our sincere warning to anyone considering this company. It would have been much more satisfying to say how I really feel about these knuckleheads with no-​integrity or ethics, but when people lie to your face over and over and delivered a used ’95 Kia at 2013 Jaguar prices, it tends to make even the kindest soul growl like an angry wolf. If you want to be lied to, your privacy violated and your home treated like what it really is — Edan’s ATM machine, give them a call. Good luck and kind regards.

Edan and Aviran run Do It Right Remodeling like a well-​oiled engine! From demolition to completion everything proceeded along a well managed timeline. Our two bathrooms, complete kitchen, fireplace and living room flooring were all completed in 8 weeks! We are very happy we chose these boys, they delivered as promised.
