I’ve taken a taxi in the OC for the past four years and usually they are on time. They call before they arrive and the drivers are usually considerate. I ran into a couple of taxi drivers that did not like the idea of my using a credit card, even with a 25% tip. I guess I’m expecting to much from a taxi company, but customer service is customer service. Today I called at 3:40PM and waited an actual hour for a taxi. I called after the first 20 minutes and was told there was an issue with the call because the original representative used Tustin as a city and not Irvine. I waited another twenty minutes and called back and was told the driver was 2 miles away. I called back again, 5 minutes later and was told the driver was 2 miles away. I shared with the representative that was what I was told 5 minutes ago and usually the driver gives you a call if they are actually two or less miles away. I waited another 5 minutes and asked for a manager. I got voice mail. I called back again and was told they were messaging the driver and he would pick me up, because he is only 2 miles away. I think that is their scripted answer. I have removed 8004MYTAXI from my phone and replaced their number with 714−669−4506 Yellow Cab. POOR, POORDISPATCHCUSTOMERSERVICE4MYTAXI. I wish I did not have to give you even one star.
