For this to be a steak house the steak is terrible. Bland at most. To be called a steak house your steaks should be on point.

Very disappointed tonight. A male friend and I sat at the bar realizing it was busy tonight. After waiting quite a while and both bartenders ignoring us I finally called out to one and asked if it would be possible to order a drink. Was never offered a drink menu or food menu by either bartender. I initially attributed the 2 bartenders lack of service to their being too busy. Until a couple sat right next to me and were immediately given menus and asked what they would like. I won’t even play the race card because the African American bartender was even ruder than his co-worker who’s service did improve to the point of his asking if I’d like a refill or if I needed anything else. I’ve always been a big tipper and in spite of the poor service left a 20% tip. I know that people in the service industry often stereotype African Americans as poor tippers. I didn’t want to perpetuate that generalization. But it would have been a much bigger tip and more enjoyable experience for me if I had just been given the courtesy and service I deserve as a customer. I also left a note mentioning that on the bill.

I’ve been to this location a few times with my husband and his family. Every time we go, the staff has been friendly and attentive. The buildings remodel last year also made it much more visually appealing. The food, however, is just mediocre. The steak is never cooked to your specification correctly, to prove this point I have the perfect picture. We say medium and it always comes out rare or well done. They haven’t quite figured the medium out yet… The price is pretty good for what you get and they do have some lunch deals. I got the quesadilla last time and it was disappointing as well. It was more like a tortilla with a few pieces of chicken and a handful of cheese. The Caesar salad is basic but good. So overall, atmosphere and service is good, food quality is so-so.

Outback is a hit or miss– my husbands family seem to think we live Outback and always give us Outback cards as gifts so we use the cards. The blooming onion is always good and spot on but, the food is not consistently good. I guess it depends on the chef working that day.

A busy place but always good. I can’t speak to all the food but I always get the Outback special steak(a nice thick cut sirloin) and I get them to cook med. rare and blacken it, they will do that if you ask them to. I’m not going to bash anyone about this and everyone likes what they like but a med well to well done steak is not how you are suppose to enjoy a steak. Like I said though everyone likes what they like. Moving on, the service is always good and the servers always are attentive to us. We really don’t have a «slap yo mama» steak place here but outback does a good job when you really don’t want to cook your own.

This is maybe still a good out of many terrible choices in this area. Food was only ok, prices relatively low. But really the waiter was very unexperienced and constantly interrupted us as we were intensively discussing. Very annoying. Ah and bring your own orange juice if you want some. They only have it for kids and only very limited amount. Ridiculous.

I stopped for gas in my way north and decided to eat at this outback. From the moment I walked in, the hostess was awesome, we didn’t wait long to be seated. She then told me the server would be with us…(Dramatic music) all of a sudden. The server arrives sounding like he was narrating porn. That initially made me laugh, but as the night went on I was in a complete rush to get out. I ordered the filet and lobster tail with a Caesar salad to sub my side, I asked also for extra parmesan. I LOVE parmesan. Anywhooo the salad arrives and the taste was next to dreadful. The extra parmesan you ask? Oh it was the texture of wood chips and stale spaghetti. Ruined the parmesan. HOWDOYOURUINPARMESAN?! We initially ordered mashed potatoes, but decided against it, the server brought us some anyways. On top of that. It had zero taste, it was dry it was dreadful. The steak however was amazing. The other things need some work. And DONTRUINTHEPARMESAN

not a good experience. haven’t been there in a couple of years and decided to try it again. Probably wont go back. Service was a little slow. Ordered the short rib nachos because of the picture on the menu and was told that there was enough for a meal. There were enough chips for a meal, but there were only about 6 pieces of meat that were smaller than the fingernail on your little finger. Then ordered the pasta with shrimp and crawfish. Extremely small shrimp, no crawfish. Never had the server offer to refill my empty tea glass.

I’ve always had a good experience here. I love the blooming onion and the bread, too. I usually get a steak(duh) and I’ve never really been disappointed with it. I would most likely go back again.

While the service and wait was not bad, the food was very disappointing. I ordered a six ounce fillet of steak with fries, mixed veggies and shrimp scampi. The only edible food was the shrimp. The fillet of steak I ordered was not a fillet; it had a bone remnant in it and was overcooked to the point it had no juices or give to it when it was cut with a knife. I had ordered it well done, not over done for use as beef jerky. The fries looked withered, and in the few I tried, had no taste other than burnt. This place needs to get someone who can cook a decent steak and fries, and that’s putting it lightly seeing as this is supposed to be a steakhouse. If you don’t have an item available on your menu, at least tell the waiter to inform the customer about it, and suggest something similar.

Last night was great! We arrived late traveling through on vacation and Outback was the best choice for dinner. The reviews(although a little old) concerned me a little b/c we were way past time to eat. But the service was great. Ask to be seated in Alexander’s station. He did a fantastic job!

Don’t bother stoping… The service is ok. I had the chicken and ribs combo and it wasn’t enough food to feed a small kitten. The ribs were burnt and the fries looked like they were soaked in water for weeks… Please save your $$$$ and go to Tin Top instead.

We have no really good steak places here they r all chain places. I liked outback until yesterday. The waiter was great took forever to get the food when it arrived none of the orders were right and how they figure a med well cooked steak is rare I don’t know for the amount if money I paid for me and my family close to 200 the food would have been cooked right. I won’t b goin there for awhile

The Tuscaloosa Outback seems to be sailing for the seas of mediocrity, at least to me. The steaks are good, but over-seasoned. I know people who think this is a great thing, but I wonder if it’s just to cover up inferior steaks. Their prices, like most chain restaurants, are inflated beyond the value of the actual food and services. The bar is ok; in fact the bourbon selection was surprisingly decent.
