Love love love this place. Went there Sunday after Church and my o my, the perfect way to end the day. Jesus and bbq, Praise Him! The service was prompt, food AMAZING… ribs were tender and delicious. The cheddar biscuits they gift you upon seating… ugh. They tasted even better in tonight’s take out. Yes, we went back for more. O and please don’t forget to leave room for dessert. Literally, make room! We stopped dining just so we could experience the magic that is their lemon pie. So serious, do not miss it. Also, did I mention that they don’t have freezers? If you know anything about food service or restaurants you know how rare this is. You can taste the difference. Stop and give Jim n Nicks a try, you will live happily to tell the tale.

Oh man. if I could eat at this place all the time I would. Thankfully they have a drive thru so I can eat it whenever I want! This BBQ is so die for. I always go with the pulled pork sandwich and fries. Every single time my parents come into town we always have to make a stop at Jim N Nicks because it is the best in town. I always get the mac and cheese or beans. Lets be honest all of their sides are good, can’t go wrong with any. They are never too busy that you have to wait a long time for a seat which is good. Even when they are busy they make sure you are taken care of down to the dessert. Make sure to try this place!

The food here is so good. We stopped in while visiting my sister in Tuscaloosa and will surely be back. It was four of us so we all tried a different dish and must say everything was delicious. The backed potato with pulled pork was great. The Mac and cheese with pulled pork is also a must try. The ribs was cooked perfectly and paired well with the habanero Bbq sauce. The pulled pork sandwich is also a must. And you can’t leave without having the cheesy bread they are the best !! Everyone in the restaurant are so friendly and helpful.

We are BBQ snobs and have a BGE.(You Q-ers know exactly what I am talking about… we are the type that can tell brand of charcoal. We would be embarrassed for being so geeky about smoke if we didn’t love food so much!) Ok, all that being said, we tasted all the meats and I have to say that EVERYONE was spot on delicious. Be sure to have the grilled fish: perfect! Not too cooked and beautiful. We took food home(the next day in the cooler with a long drive) and back at the house a full day later was still excellent, so there isn’t a holiday dining halo on this review. All the sides were great. I looove the cheese biscuits. The loaded potatoes were good(our girls said), and the Mac n cheese. Good greens and potato salad. We will return.

Always consistent… usually. Just don’t come to this location on any gameday. They become pedestrian. No pork chicken or turkey and only the fattest meat left to serve. First time I was ever disappointed by my chain go to.

I really enjoyed my meal at Jim ‘N Nicks. To start’ the arnold palmer I had was with out a doubt the best I’ve ever tried. Their little cheesy corn muffins are also very addicting. I had the catfish with baked beans and coleslaw, all of this was amazing ! put me in a food coma for a few hours. I did get to try the ribs and pulled pork, all of which were tasty. Is it the best BBQ in town? maybe, maybe not, but it is definitely good! Service was also very attentive. I would return.

Their corn muffins are soooo good!!! The BBQ was alright. I ordered brisket and half way into eating it, I realized they gave me pulled pork in the sandwich. I was so preoccupied with other stuff that I didn’t even notice, lol The pulled pork was dry, didn’t like it that much. Their service was mediocre. Kinda have to wave to why your waitress’ attention every time I need something. Prob won’t come back.

There food is great but never go though the drive through. The woman at the window is hateful and we have been three times now and every time we never get any sauce on out sandwiches, potatoes or anything. Plus, we have been twice and they didn’t have any pulled pork at a bbq place. Like really how does that happen?! They really need to work on their customer service at the drive through. They are slacking greatly.

THEBESTBBQINTTOWN! No joke this bbq joint is the best in town. They have the best pulled pork sandwiches and amazing cheesie sweet biscuit. The place is always well kept and staff is super friendly when you walk in. It is never empty and always amazing! Make sure you try their mac and cheese and of course a slice of pie!

If you want to get 5-stars from me its pretty d*mn simple. Either play Phish-music in the place or have the waiter talk to me about Phish-music… I was wearing a Phish-music T-shirt and olé boy started chatted me up about Phish-music. We were bros instantly. That alone gives this joint a 5-star rating. While we are on the subject the joint was extremely clean and tight, had a lot of nice beers on tap. The BBQ was pretty good. Though not spectacular. Your best BBQ’s are here: The mac-n-cheese was quite tasty — which is consistent with other reviews. Yeeaaahhhhhh, yeaahhhhhh. Big time.

So much hype for the BBQ in the south. Can’t tell if I just went on a bad night or if this is what they consider good because the lack of food options they have here. Not trying to be ignorant but I just think it’s the truth over here(I’m from the DC metropolitan area and lived in NYC). Unfortunately we weren’t able to get the baby back ribs since they were out of stock so we got the regular ribs. We also ordered sausage, and beef brisket and wings for our appetizer. The wings were the best part of the meal because they were fresh and surprisingly crispy for being smoked instead of fried. The complimentary cheese/cornbread was the second best item. The rest of the items were meh. It tasted how I expected it to taste in a big fastfood joint. All of the sides we ordered were below par(fries and cole slaw). I wouldn’t recommend coming here unless you are really craving BBQ. I really wanted to try Archibald’s but unfortunately they were closed. Rating: 2.5. Thankfully the wings saved them and the free cheese bread

Great lunch today — I had the Mac n cheese with pork and a side of collards. They have some of the best Mac n cheese I’ve ever eaten. Plus it’s a huge bonus that they are one of the few places in Tuscaloosa that serves Coke products!

The complimentary bottomless cheesy cornbread rolls are delicious with the sweet butter. I got the pig in the garden salad with pork. Best salad I have ever eaten in my life! Very, very good food!

I’m a fan of all Jim N Nick’s, but this location brings an awesome atmosphere in addition to good BBQ. What a cool location with open air doors, a few TVs, great service and an upbeat vibe. But, we came here to eat, right? Back on not being let down. Like all in this growing chain, quality and flavor isn’t sacrificed here. Your greatest challenging will likely be deciding what to order, as the menu served up countless options ranging from meats, to pork, to chicken and fish. There’s something for most here and enough sides to cater to everyone’s likely. Personally, I’m a fan of the smoked turkey and brisket, but a few friends swear by the pork. The opened face turkey or brisket sandwich should be on everyone’s to-try list. Don’t forget the desserts are made daily, although the pecan pie we had, which is normally awesome, tasted like it was a few days old. Still, the fresh squeezed lemonade is a go-to item for those who want to avoid a sweet tea caffeine rush.

We had baby back ribs and pulled pork. Both were very good, but the pulled pork was awesome. The sides were pretty good too. Reasonable price and nice atmosphere.

Ribs were good, beans could have been from a can but good, the biscuits were very good, the brisket was chopped bland and fatty. Service was decent.

We loved it! Cheese biscuits are awesome and took home some mix– if they would ever consider adding a little jalapeño to the mix — bang ! Would even step it up a notch. Loved the Mac and cheese, collards, loaded queso dip, mashed potatoes– we had 4 people and all tried each other’s sides. We all had pulled pork. Oh, you can get the sandwich«Memphis style» which has the coleslaw(sweet vinegar flavor) on top. Nice atmosphere and our waiter was great. Potato salad is sweet vinegar taste as well– if u like that.

I went here with a few co-workers during lunch hour and I really enjoyed eating here. Pros: Clean dining area and bathroom Friendly staff Good prices Tasty food Cons: What is this con you speak of? Overall I can see myself eating here again in the future. Next time I will try one of their BBQ plates instead of the 1920 Burger which was freakin’ good. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Delicious pulled pork sandwich called«Pig on a Bun.» Dip that in their sweet and spicy BBQ sauce and add a peach tea to wash it down, which has bits of peaches on the bottom(quite a task trying to suck them all up through the straw.) Friendly and fast service. My whole party of 8 was very happy with their meal!
