Disgusting. Happy there gone! Overpriced microwave food dirty even with the remodel I came about once every five years hoping it was Under New Management there was not and look at them now you can’t just remodel a building you need to keep it clean serve great food and always be friendly it was hit and miss in every Department

I gave up eating lunch and dinner here because it went downhill and was disgusting. I thought I would try breakfast today, because it wasn’t usually too bad. Today was horrible. The eggs Benedict tasted crappy, the waffles tasted like peanut butter, the gravy was like lumpy water, the biscuits were few and far between, when they DID finally bring out the waffles, they brought out 4 at a time (swear to god, no joke), the mixture of hashed Browns, ham and cheese was labeled «steamed carrots», the soda machine had no carbonation, only the chocolate ice cream worked, there were no ketchup bottles so they actually brought out packets of ketchup, and the scrambled eggs were luke warm. THIS PLACE IS A DUMP! The wait staff was friendly and apologetic but the kitchen staff was irritable and unfriendly. I will NEVER, EVER, eat there again. That was the last chance and they blew it. Disgusting.

Food is good and employees really helpful ! !! You have some choices specially if you are looking for something healthy !!

I normally don’t like buffets my husband said they always had great food we came in right after breakfast 11:48am so I understand they have to switch to dinner but the options were very limited no one serving meat you had to ask the chocolate milk was out the hot cocoa machine was no working properly and food is not good $ 12 wasted of food is good it’s fine but not at all its cafeteria food to me also they said they would have pizza and they never put out

Look, if you want food without waiting 20 minutes, this is an OK-​enough place to get it.
If you are having 12 family members getting together (or even 30 of them), this place is Great. Just shove 4-​or-​5 tables together … and POOF, service for 20.
Most of the food is easily edible. Several items are pretty-​good tasting: Meatloaf, chicken, for example. The Salad Bar is pretty good, with many fixings. And Dessert is OK too (including a Vanilla ice cream dispenser, with 10 different toppings to choose from).
Unique in the Food World, they have a Diet Soda that isn’t Cola (a 7-​Up-​y flavor). This is a great thing. At many restaurants (even the up-​Town ones), I am FORCED to drink caffeine-​laden sodas.
At weekend Breakfasts, they have Bacon (usually under-​cooked) and Sausages, Waffles and Scrambled Eggs. A BONUS, they custom-​cook Omelets, with several fresh ingredients.

The last time I came here it was surprisingly good. But haven’t been there in about 2 yrs. OMG, it was the worst food ever. Now it was a late dinner but I started @ salad bar lettuce looked like 2 days old. Moved over 2 Mexican food bar just few broken pieces chips so I asked 4 some. Was told it would be few mins cause had to be made — I thought COOL. They never brought them out. Made stop @ Italian food, a bowl pasta w/​red sauce & 2 pieces of pizza that was under light bulb 4 who knows how long were already curling up & looked like cardboard. 2 Employee standing there so I made comment hoping they would bring fresh pizza — never happened. Went over & got fried chicken that smelled like fresh but looked over fried. So took leg & not dry out but did taste like it was a batch that had been previously fried. Next 2 it was a fried fish so took 1 piece. Went bk 2 table & took about 3 bites of salad & bite ea. Of chicken & fish & started feeling stomach pain so had 2 run RR. Came bk & decided to not eat but have hot coffee to help my stomach — no luck out of coffee had 2 ask them 2 make some cause was feeling sick. Hostess said she also felt sick after eating something on her break & told me coffee would be ready in 2 mins. & it was. Coffee very strong but good. Coffee helped so had 1 oatmeal cookie & that was it. So for $ 12 bucks I had 3 bites of salad, 1 bite ea. Chicken & fish & cup of coffee & 1 cookie, talk about not getting your moneys worth. To say this place SUCKED BIG TIME is understatement. Should have gone to Micky D’s or Burger King & got me some nuggets & would have been cheaper, edible & I would not have got sick. Never again & if u read this & still go take some tums or pepto bismol cause you will need it.

Why did I come here again? WHY? I waited too late to eat and needed something right away. The cheapest chicken nuggets, watery meatloaf, some type of meat disc next to gravy. Bad pizza, the worst kind of taco meat and beans. They don’t seem to like it when you ask for water. Every time they say «Are you sure? We have sodas, lemon aid, milk, ice tea» no I say, NO! Then it’s «Have you been here before?» Yes unfortunately ! The food was really good when they changed the menu a few years ago when they had someone in a Bee costume waving a sign down at the corner. I guess I was hoping it was good again but it is the worst I’ve ever seen. I think I’d rather have eaten a package of cold hotdogs from the grocery store next door.

Very disappointed. My kid’s fruit punch was fermenting. So I got them lemonade which was also gross and terrible. Food was subpar. I came in hungry and didn’t even finish one plate. The adult price is way too expensive for the quality of slop they serve. Waitress was pleasant and dessert was ok. But, by far the worst thing was the smell of old filth and the distinct odor of roaches. It was so strong in the dining area, it ruined my appetite. And yes, roach infestation will create a unique smell. Ask anyone who’s ever worked in pest control.

Food was decent but hardly able to enjoy over the servers arguing with each other yes ghetto! Carpet was nasty but hey it’s a buffet. Not likely to ever return.

Came here to celebrate mothers day a day early. Not enough selections. Food was ok. Over heard workers complaining that they had a line of customers a day before mothers day! Ummm shouldn’t you be glad you have a line instead of having no customers?! You would be out of a job if it wasn’t for the line of customers. Anyway, Im not going to come back here ill go somewhere else to spend my money where it’s wanted!

This was one of the worst Home Town Buffets I have ever been too. My baked potato was disgusting, all my food was so cold and it looked like it had been sitting there for longer than it should have… I was very disappointed.

Pleased! As a gastric bypass patient I can’t eat much. I was greeted with a friendly smile by the servers/​helpers and general manager gave me a to go box to munch on the way. Wished they did this in Visalia. Thank you!

Went to have lunch with my husband on 12÷11÷14 the whole place was so festive and it felt so wonderful to have lunch there of course the staff is what brings this place alive including the manager, there is total hospitality running threw this place grat way to have lunch, sometimes you go have lunch with a staff that acts like they just hate being there
. not here great place to go while christmas shopping. keep up the good work guys

Wow, always very dirty. Kids running around getting food, touching everything. No one seems to care about that. There should be rules and they should be unforced Very unclean :-(

Only wish this review could be higher however it cannot. The food was ok but the selection was very limited. Had a small price of steak it may as well been shoe leather. Not expecting top of the mark for a $ 15 buffet but you can find much better for much less.
The restrooms looked like a bomb went off in there and an employee walked in washed his hands and walked out. It was clear they had not been touched in hours.
The staff was pleasant…

Clearness:
The food bars are always clean. The tables are mostly always clean and the waiters are always quick to take your old plates. Their bathrooms are NASTY. Always!!! I’m always grossed out when I have to take my young child to use the restroom. I’ve even spoke with management and this and they said they would have someone attend to it. I also explained they need a deep cleaning not just a quick clean. And the manager looked at me like I was stupid.
Food:
It’s pretty plain. Friday night’s they have popcorn shrimp and it’s pretty good. Their meat bar is horrible either you get a steak that’s too dry or under cooked. Their hispanic section is a huge disappointment.
Their saled bar is actually pretty nice. As well as their desert area. Their cheese cake is yummy! They have a nice selection of drinks.
Service:
The cashiers never seem friendly. The waiters have always seemed nice. Dinner is $ 11 on weekday nights and I believe the weekends are $ 15. Drinks are not included are are another $ 2.
I’d recommend the Golden Corral in Modesto!

What can is say about HTB that hasn’t already been said? It’s a buffet, don’t expect gourmet food. The food is surprisingly okay. There is something for everyone, i mean, if you want fatty food or want to stuff your face with cheesecake by all means go for it, if you’re trying to eat healthy grab a salad and some grilled chicken, its that simply. Really. Other than being surrounded by overweight people, the experience isn’t really that bad. The servers take your finished plates relatively quickly, the place is pretty clean, and the food is replaced at a decent rate. I paid about 10 $ and i thought it was pretty fair for what i got.

HomeTown is slipping… the food has lost its flavor… even the simple stuff. No longer worth the price. A pitty…

This place is pretty good. I got extremely full. The macaroni and cheese is hella good. The spaghetti is okay. I loved the drink selection. The slurpees are really good and I love the corn bread. The pizza was alright. I loved the Alfredo pasta and the ice cream was great. Oh man I had 6 dinner plates and three dessert plates. I loved the meatloaf. The ribs were alright.

This place used to look a mess, but they remodeled it since I was last here. As a buffet goes… it’s eh… okay. I mean nothing is extremely delicious. It’s all standard fare. I had a coupon, so the price wasn’t so bad. For 7.99 I got to sample a little bit of everything which is better than spending the same on 1 fast food meal. Much of the food is low quality though. The freshly carved ham was like a salt lick. I think the only thing I really enjoyed was the red potatoes. The chow mein that they make to order was also decent.
If you’re not sure what you want, this is a good place to visit. Otherwise, just go get what you want and pass this place up.
