I walked by this on the way to the glow run event. I told myself after we check in we can come back and grab one. The smell of the grilled meat lingered in my nose! oh my wow so good! My tummy thanks me for stopping by! This really reminds me of the banh mi my mom would make for me! So sad I no longer work downtown or this would be my go to spot weekly! I’m also so sad I waited this long to try it! How can something so good come from this truck! High five!

We were visiting Tulsa for a day trip and wanted to eat somewhere different and original. After consulting Unilocal!I thought«Vietnamese food truck?» — I wanted in on that. So my wife, my brother, my dog and I tracked down the truck and ordered. The guys in the truck were cool, the whole thing was a good vibe. I had the pork, my wife had the pulled pork, my brother had the meatballs and my dog had the kimchi fries with candied bacon(he shared with us). Man, the ingredients were fresh. You could taste the herbs. The food was flavorful. I’m trying to justify the 2.5 hour drive from Arkansas just to eat there again.

I’m a native Tulsan and recently traveled back to the city to see friends. They brought me to the Lone Wolf food truck and holy shit — Amazing. I wish we had something this delicious in St. Louis.

Get the Kim Chi fries. Load up on add-ons(i always get the Kung Pao Pork and Egg). Consider it the grubbiest lunch you will ever have the pleasure of enjoying on a work week. My introduction was during Food Truck Wednesdays at Guthrie Green, when the line was heartbreakingly long(expected, given it is reliably the best truck along the square), although they do get through orders quite quickly! For a more reasonable wait, catch it any other day of the week.

I first tried Lone Wolf at Food Truck Wednesday on the Guthrie Green. I was hesitant at first because I would be stepping outside of my comfort zone food wise. It was delicious though. Highly recommend the Kimchi fries as they do not disappoint. Rice bowls are on point as well. If you go to Food Truck Wednesday, get their early as they start to get a line. They are really good about moving quickly through the line though while still keeping food cooked right and fresh.

Who doesn’t love Lone Wolf? I mean come on, they’re amazing! They always seem to pop up at events and bars that I am at, and the kimchi fries never disappoint. I have sampled some of their other dishes as well and they have all been great. Unless there is a huge rush, they are usually very fast and helpful. I love that they are involved with the community and are really putting themselves out there! If you haven’t tried them yet, you definitely need to!

When it comes to long lines and high prices for food trucks, count me out. That is one with very special exception — the sweet sweet goodness of the beautiful Lone Wolf. While I’m still not exactly sure what a bahn mi is, all I know is that LW’s version of this Vietnamese treat is close to perfect. Whether it’s to take home at 5pm for a respectable family meal or at 1AM after a Cain’s GWAR concert, anytime is the right time for Lone Wolf.

There aren’t enough stars to give to this place! The food is so spectacular in my opinion it is unparalleled! I’ve had their kimchi fries, their jam candied bacon and egg rice bowl, and the chicken and pesto rice bowl. all of which i couldn’t get enough of! The service is pretty speedy and worth the wait every single time. The line doesn’t ever bother me because i know what good food is in store and with their new carry out location the skies the limit! I love love love this place!

what to order: pork banh mi & kimchi fries tip: ADDEGGTOYOURFRIES My friend and I rode on the Lone Wolf flavor train when we visited Guthrie Green for food truck Wednesday and I wish I never got off. There are sooo many food trucks and so many different choices. So what did I do? I saw the longest line(Lone Wolf) and got in it! Duh! If everyone’s lining up, it MUST be good. Or maybe they’re giving something out for free, either way, yo girl is there. My friend was huffin and puffin cause she was hangry and didn’t want to wait, but her tune quickly changed after we had our first couple bites. Let me also add that I’m from Orange County where there’s a banh mi restaurant or shop at every street corner. I wasn’t expecting much and I’m not a fan of fusion foods! BUTLONEWOLFHASCHANGEDMYLIFE. I am a changed woman! maybe they can start driving out to OC… The pork banh mi was sooo flavorful! The baguette was crunchy but soft, I hate when the bread tears up the inside of your mouth. Uh, ow? I can’t taste anything cause I’m in too much pain. But Lone Wolf’s baguette was perfect! The seasoning and flavored were amazing. Definitely got smacked with all the textures and flavors. Even more surprisingly was how DANK the kimchi fries were! First off, I LURVE kimchi but I didn’t expect to love the kimchi fries. I was scared the flavors wouldn’t go and the fries would be soggy– They pile the kimchi in the middle so the ends of the fries are still crunchy. Also it’s not overwhelming kimchi, just enough soft and crunchy leaves. The sauce they add is also soooo good. We added bacon to our fries but I wish we added egg instead. PLEASECOMETOORANGECOUNTY, I love you…

I have become some what of a fries connoisseur, self proclaimed of course. However it has become an unintended mission to try all the kinds of french fries in the great city of Tulsa. With that I say, do yourself a favor and order the Kimchi Fries from Lone Wolf. Though it isn’t the fries themselves that deserve he hat tipping, it’s the delicious and flavorful toppings they put on top. Kimchi, which is a Korean dish of fermented cabbage, has so many distinct flavors that having flavorful fries isn’t necessary. Lone Wolf offers Kimchi Fries as a basic, but here you are given the opportunity to make then your own. Add different kinds of spiced meats, a fried egg(which you’ll have to wait a little longer), or for those vegetarians– mushrooms! The service is quick, the food is always delicious, and theres something for everyone. You just have to decide if you’ve got the time to wait in line because with food so good, theres always a line. And isn’t that how you judge a restaurant, by how the demand is? If you haven’t tried Lone Wolf because the line seems too long, just remember that having a line that long is like a badge of honor. Congrats Phil, ya done good.

I’ve had their burger, the kimchi fries, and one of their rice bowls. Everything I’ve had has been great! Things seem pricey, but I feel you get plenty of food for what you pay for. I made the mistake of getting a Pad Thai rice bowl on a hot summer Oklahoma day during Mayfest(did i mention this is a food truck). The warning sign was the TWO forks they gave me. I was alone. I did not heed the warning. I ate the whole bowl and then had to walk the several blocks back to my car. I almost didn’t make it back alive. But, If I had died I would have died with a smile on my face and a full belly. BTW, the owner seems like a really cool guy. I met him at Hodges Bend once randomly and he was very nice.

I plan a golf tournament every year and alone Wolf catered the dinner this year for around 150 people. They were AMAZING. The prices were reasonable, food was wonderful, got a ton of compliments, and the staff was nice, flexible and accommodating. Catering isn’t something I had thought about for LW, but if you’re looking for a caterer, give them a call. They are great! We had a fried rice bowl with all of the meat and veggie options. Some of the review I got back were– «Let’s have them from now on» «Best meatball I’ve ever had» «I don’t like mushrooms, but I love these» «Huge portions»

Pros: tastes decent and accepts credit cards Cons: I was hoping for a more traditional banh mi. I can’t seem to find anything in Tulsa that will satisfy my craving. It’s a food truck, so all that trouble that goes with it(looking for truck, only available very specific days/times, etc.). Needless to say, I haven’t been back to Lone Wolf since Gogi Gui opened(they also have Kim chi fries and they are a restaurant).

This is hands down one of my favorite food trucks to ever exist. I’d even say«fast food» because these guys are quick! If I want to grab something on the way home and these guys are open, that’s where I’m headed. They’ll wrap it up to go and it will still be quite hot when you dig in! To say that Lone Wolf has an abundance of flavors going on would be an understatement. Just reading their menu will have you salivating and wanting a bit of each thing they offer. But that’s okay, that just means you’ll be back ASAP. My favorite is most likely the kimchi fries for a multitude of reasons. There is a perfect balance of sour and spice as well as sweet, if you go that route(ie candied bacon *omg*) The pictures don’t do justice, go grab yourself a bowl of fries or rice and the colors, smells and soon flavors you’ll experience will be sure to keep you coming back and raving to your friends about. I am yet to have their brunch but I am assured it is delicious. Keep Lone Wolf in mind, they are out nearly every day of the week. Excellent for quick lunch or dinner and plenty of choices to satisfy anyone. Man I’m hungry!

For a long time I avoided Lone Wolf because I didn’t know what banh mi was and I was scared. And now that I’ve had it I really feel I wasted a lot of eating great food time. My favorites are the Kung pao pork banh mi and kimchi fries with egg. I could actually eat this meal every day. It’s the perfect level of spicy and everything is so fresh. I’m officially obsessed. ***controversial statement*** I swear Lone Wolf is making better food than half the restaurants in Tulsa and they are doing it on a truck.

Nearly impossible to try during a food truck Wednesday, because of the line across Guthrie Green. Their appearance on broadcast television hopefully bumped up their popularity. Was finally able to try them a few weeks ago. The sandwiches were a decent size. I had the kung pao pork, which was spicy, but managed not to be overkill so I could still taste the freshness of the vegetables and other seasoning. Also ordered the kimchee fries, which were also good, but needed a bit more kimchee to fry ration. Lower level of spice than what I was expecting. The main critique is that these truly aren’t Banh Mi, in the traditional sense. It’d be nice to see a more«traditional» sandwich amongst their offerings. Besides Banh Mi and fries they also offer rice bowls. As always with food trucks, their prices are a bit high.

Perfection. Either I haven’t been paying attention the last couple of times, or they just added the Jam(Bacon x Egg) Fried Rice Bowl to the menu. Sweet & savory, all from the bacon & egg alone. The rice, carrots, sprouts & the sauce(can’t remember what kind) made a great combination! This is what I highly recommend compared to everything else on the menu. Hopefully, next time the Buttermilk Chicken Burger will be available, it was sold out.

First clue Lone Wolf has something going very right: the line. When I went to the 2015 Food Truck Festival near the Circle Cinema, I knew of Lone Wolf. I didn’t expect it to be the name whispered in anticipation by so many there. Everyone was getting the Kimchi Fries– I did, too. I’d decided to get chicken and candied bacon on my fries. As a connoisseur of french fries, I’m going to go ahead and declare these the best(but most expensive) fries I’ve ever had. The chicken was maybe unnecessary, but I know better now. I can’t wait to track down this food truck again and try some more!

After my first mediocre review of Lone Wolf, Phillip reached out to me and encouraged me to come out at a less busy time to try them. I took his word, and came out to try them for lunch at the(at least, that day) less trafficked OK Jazz Hall location. I have to admit, this made a HUGE difference in my sandwich enjoyment. I had a banh mi that knocked my socks off and lived up to the hype. I don’t know why people wait so long for them at Guthrie Green when you can find them at a less busy location and get a — dare I say it? — tastier sandwich.
