We contacted Orkin because of a spider problem we were having. I had previously used Orkin in Michigan with no problems. Well, out here in Washington, buyer beware. These people are straight up crooks. The exterminator(who was a bumbling idiot and creepy as well) came to our house, tried to upsell us on an annual subscription and spent most of his time arguing with my sister about why we needed it. He spent about 5 minutes actually doing any work and the rest of the time out in his truck doing god knows what. He kept asking over and over if we were«happy with our service» when of course we don’t know because we don’t know if the problem has been solved yet. He came back a week later and was 10 minutes early from the scheduled time of between 4 — 7 pm. I’d already left my office early to meet him and then when I showed up he was wandering around the outside of the house looking flabbergasted that no one was there when he was early. Again, he spent the majority of his time in the truck. I told him we were still having problems and he said it’d be awhile before the spiders were gone. Well, over a month later and our spider problem is still as bad as ever. Looks like we were taken for a ride to the tune of $ 200 and will need to hire someone else. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone unless I really, really despised that person.

One star only because you can’t give them zero stars. After 45 minutes on the phone explaining the problem, I scheduled an appointment for an exterminator. I explained that keeping the appointment was critical as it was an out of the way location requiring someone to take a day off work to travel to the location(summer cabin). I was reassured time and time again that once the appointment was scheduled, there would be no changes. What do you know, one hour before the appointment time, Orkin called to cancel, with no explanation other than, «a technician isn’t available». I will never use this company, and will make sure I take advantage of every opportunity I have to make sure other consumers know what a bad company it is!

Orkin is pretty unresponsive. If you’re a business and you sign up for service with them, they promise they will have a tech out for you as long as it takes to fix your pest problem. Currently I have been calling them for a week to get rid of a pest issue. I have called our tech guy and left 20 messages and have yet to receive a response. I call their 800 number 1.866.713.9979 to schedule someone to come out, but I have never received a call back. I have called the number and scheduled 5 times now. Each time they say they’re going to page someone who will get back to me ASAP. It’s been a week with no call back. That’s just my experience.
