I love this place! When I first moved in to Tujunga I could not find a restaurant that sold tacos good and tasty tacos around the area but when I found this place, I knew I had found my spot! Not only are their tacos good but they also sell good camarones a la diabla. Definitely recommend this place!

First of all is not a 1 dollar sign. Food is over priced. Food is great but yes again over priced. Last time I was there I almost paid 5.00 dollars for a Horchata. A place where they charge 5.00 for a large drink it won’t be a 1 dollar sign. That’s what you pay almost for a meal. Also don’t get me wrong there a man that plays the guitar but it’s a little to loud.

Wow, I found a great hole-in-the-wall Mexican place near home! I’m so excited — stopped by(after I drove by a few times trying to find it.) The staff was super friendly, and explained each of the salsas to me(I liked the two spicy salsas VERY much.) I ordered an asada quesadilla(asada was absolutely great — definitely a must-have when you visit here), and a pastor taco(very good, but the asada blew me away.) I will definitely come back and bring the family — what a find!

This is my go-to place for some Mexican food right by my house. Family owned and operated and you can taste the family tradition in their food. Prices are fair, lady at the cashier is super nice and pleasant and I enjoy dinning here.

Second time eating here this week. Was starting to think that the CV had no good Mexican food until we discovered this place. The nachos are the best I’ve had! Last time we were here, we got the carne asada nachos, pastor quesadilla, and carne asada torta. We enjoyed everything and would order each again. Tonight, we ordered chicken nachos, carne asada sopes, and beef hard taco. Delicious!

Favorite place to get Mexican food. The burrito al gusto is very tasty. But I honestly come here for the avocado sauce. The nachos are wonderful because they have so much flavor and different textures involved. I come here very often and have only been disappointed once, which isn’t as bad if you consider the time span of two years. I don’t know if I like the carne asada or al pastor burrito better. Definitely not the lengua because it’s too squishy for my taste. One ‘con’ about this restaurant is the sopes. I felt like I was eating a waffle with sour cream on top. It was a very strange feeling. Overall, would definitely recommend!

Very good authentic Mexican food! I had never been in this area before and I wasn’t disappointed. The place is clean and service is great. I definitely recommend it!

Two things that this place makes amazing — carne asada burritos and carne asada nachos! The burrito is really good cause it’s made fresh. The nachos on the other hand, I honestly can’t figure it out. It’s the cheese, the chips??? I have no clue but it’s seriously soooo good! Their prices are really good and the service is pretty decent. The only reason I deducted a star is cause it literally takes like 30 minutes for a burrito. When I make a bit of a fuss about how long it takes, they said to order over the phone beforehand. I ordered over the phone at 10pm… They said it’ll be ready in 10 minutes. Cool, so I get there at 10:13, and wait til 10:27 for a burrito. I can’t really complain cause I know it’s being made fresh… But seriously. 27 minutes for a BURRITO? Lol. It’s a little much. Also they have limes that have no juice. It’s a silly thing to complain about but if the lime has no juice, why even put it out. Lol. It’s like putting out a cup of ice and saying its a cup of water…(Bad correlation, but you get the picture.). Anyways, service is ok, food is great, wait time sucks. You make the decision of it’s something you’d want to go for!

I ordered something other than tacos and blech. Shrimp fajitas were in a nasty soup, and I couldn’t even get past one bite. Had the burritos and those were not good either. I will just stick with the tacos, salsa and beans.

If your trying out Mexican restaurants in this area don’t be fooled by the size or the lack of advertisement. This place is a hidden gem. There is not one thing not to eat. Good prices and even better food. Thumbs up.

Great selection of Mexican food. They offer an array of salsas from mild to hot, their asada tacos are the greatest in town. If you get a chance try their Steak quesadilla.

Great food! I get the nachos with al pastor meat and they’re delicious, they put a lot of meat and extra toppings. The sopes are great too. If you like spicy, you have to try the camarones a la diabla, they’re really spicy but the taste is great. Staff is friendly and attentive. Overall great Mexican food spot.

This place has been my goto spot for Mexican food for the last three years. I always try to stop by on the way home. They are always open late and are fast with their service. I love the sopes, and everything else i’ve tried is just as good. The service is amazing and you feel like you’re having dinner at a friend’s house rather than a restaurant. I tried some of the other Mexican restaurant’s in the Tujunga area and I always, inevitably, end up coming back to Mariachi’s because of the amazing food and experience. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for quality food at a good price!

The food here is truly authentic and the prices are excellent. It is not fancy inside. Very basic tables, chairs, tv. Not a restaurant to take a a date. But great for takeout. They don’t have menus for take out so u have to choose from the menu on the wall. The tacos are like street tacos. Very basic but delicious. That sopas are amazing. Last night I ordered chicken sopas and got chicken soup by mistake. I went with it. The soup was delicious! Served with homemade corn tortillas. Great for take out if you have about 20 minutes to wait for your order without calling ahead. I suggest going in to take a picture of the menu on the wall ahead of time. …they really need menus!

If you have anything bad to say about this place you either have a stick up your ass or are looking for bad things to write because you’re bored. This place is fantastic. The taco meat. Starting with the chicken, carnitas and asada is all standard and well cooked. Where the real flavor starts rocking is the pastor, chorizo and the lengua. All of which come with the perfect amount of meat as to not leave you with a lack of protein while giving you space to put all the salsas and onions mixed with cilantro. Which brings me to this places next point of excellence, salsa. These people make an avocado salsa that’s creamy and delicious with a very decent kick of spicyness. Get there before 7 or 8 because that’s their go to salsa and it does run out first. On top they have a red salsa that will complete your spicy needs if the avocado salsa does not. As you can see I’m a huge fan of this places tacos, and I’ve been all over LA for tacos. Their nachos are huge and made to be very filling. Their burrito is cheap and good as well but if you come to this place I suggest you spend the measly $ 1.25 and buy at least one taco to experience this places magic.

2 years ago, I would have given this place a 5 star. Awesome 1 dollar tacos and delicious sopes and nachos. HOWEVER, they have definitely have gone down the hill with the quality of their food and customer service. FOOD: I don’t see as much meet on the tacos or the nachos anymore. I just got the nachos last night and I feel like I had at only 60% of the toppings then I used to get. I only have crap ton of sour cream with not enough beans and meat to even finish half the chips. Also, I got a beef nacho when I order a chicken nacho… very annoying. Same story with the tacos. They used to put so much meat on the taco that I used to split my tacos into 2 but not anymore. Customer Service: I haven’t been going here much since about a year ago. I used to go there about once a week or two but several things that kept me from going back: 1. none of their prices are posted, they won’t give you the total over the phone and they charge 10% tax. I get it’s easier math for them and it’s mere cents but still annoying 2. They mess up on the order a lot. Like the nachos yesterday, when I order chicken, I would appreciate chicken and not something else. I can’t even give them an excuse when the order was just tacos and a nacho. Not a huge order. Husband didn’t think to check the food before leaving. 3. On a bigger order, they have left stuff out. So after I noticed they mess up on their orders, I started to check all the items before I leave the store. And I noticed that they would leave out 3 orders of tacos or give me a wrong meat of sope. So I would have to wait another 15 minutes for them to make it and give it to me. This is the point when I stopped going there. SO if you are going to phone in your order, make sure you get all the quantities of your order AND that they gave you the right food before you leave.
