Thanks for coming back. Even with a full parking lot customers aren’t tripping over each other. Wide aisles so people pass each other.

I’m so happy that we have Albertsons back in our community, when it was Haggens we never wanted to go in because prices were just outrageous. It was easy to notice there’s a lot of changes through out the store taking place. I believe the Chase that was in here is now closed down, they don’t have the self check out’s now, and Starbucks is under construction. But I’m honestly happy to have Albertsons back, the only thing I wish is the recycling center next to it was still open, but still I’m glad to have Albertsons back. The lot is huge, we never have an issue finding parking. Now that the self-checkout stands are closed though I figure there will be day’s the store get’s super packed.

I really did love Albertsons!!! They had the lowest prices. Now it’s gone and has been replaced by Haggens Food & Pharmacy!!! Their prices are really expensive!!! Don’t go there to Haggens. It’s a rip off! I bought the same exact same things at Haggens yesterday and it came out to $ 146.00 Dollars!!! Where as when it was Albertsons, the same exact same things costed me only $ 80.00 So what’s the deal??? I guess I will shop at Vons from now on. I just got done doing my grocery shopping at Vons, and man was it crouded!!! Most of those people I talked to said they used to shop Albertsons, and they couldn’t even believe Haggens prices! So they are all going to Vons & Ralphs.

The most expensive market. It is even more expensive than Gelsons Market. The same items you can find a 80% difference in prices. I am never entering Albertsons anymore, and it is not like their costumer service is great, it is not.

I have always enjoyed the staff and layout of this store. We buy our groceries most often on a Sunday morning. Today I landed in the produce aisle as usual and I was Whoa! Hey look at the new organic section! Joel from the department happened to be there and I was thrilled to let him know how amazing this is. Instead of a smaller section toward the back, the entire front area has organics integrated. I got some wonderful organic strawberries and blueberries as well as cucumbers for our spa water at work. So another neat thing I saw was pre sliced beets: I like using beets but prep time takes so long. Joel did tell me that if you have requests for special organic items he will gladly entertain requests. It looks super and the staff are responsive and want us to be happy. I usually don’t trek all the way to other places but this removes the need for going to other places to get specialty organics.

If you would like to be discriminated go to this store! The store manager thinks he is the most powerful person on the planet. I will not go back to this store again and will not recommend it to anyone.

Good price when it’s on sale. I like coming here because it’s not as crowded as Vons or Ralph’s. Cashiers are ok, seems like the ladies are nicer than the men.

A few years ago, I would have given this store 2 stars, but I have really seen improvement in the store. The produce is much fresher than it used to be. My husband always picks up their fresh made tortilla chips, yum! Nice employees and decent selection.

spacious store, full deli, bakery, seafood, and meat counters, fair toy aisle and good assortment of domestic and kitchen hardware. occasional good deals or coupons from the store flyer, but consistently more expensive than ralphs or vons. fixtures and atmosphere seem worn and tired. mercifully, self-checkout available vs. icy, almost hostile customer service. counter people at least ask if they can help you, cashiers are friendly like a dark alley. outside near the drive-thru pharmacy is a recycling hutch where you are issued a voucher for cans and bottles to be redeemed inside the store. one morning i brought three slips to the customer service counter and the employee eating a yogurt there said he was on break until 11, which was four minutes away, so we both stood looking at each other waiting for one to go away or one to get back to work. at one minute ’til, another clerk took me to the self-checkout stand to cash me out but tried paying only two of the three and keeping the $ 5 voucher for herself. nice try, sweetheart. you might check in every so often if they have a certain product or brand or just to keep vons and ralphs honest and maybe luck into a deal or special, but i hardly see making this a market of first choice without putting on your best sneer first.

If you get prescriptions filled at this Albertsons/Sav-on. prepare to be discriminated against. I am prescribed an anti-anxiety medication that is obviously a controlled substance(how many aren’t though?). Long story short. I had my prescriptions in my glove compartment where they were lost or stolen from my car. I got in touch with my doctor who wrote a partial emergency refill for the rest of the month due to the simple fact that you are not under any circumstances supposed to just stop taking this medication. It can cause seizures and other very scary things. I had a hand written prescription note that I brought in and was told to wait 20 minutes and that it was all fine. As soon as the 20 minutes are up. Andrew the pharmacy tech calls me up and notifies me that he will not fill it. I proceed to explain what happened and he has the audacity to roll his eyes and tell me that«[I] need to stop taking them by the handfull». I have filled this very prescription here for years and had no problems until today. As far as I’m concerned. this is hugely discriminatory as he has no idea how I conduct myself. The prescription was for 13 pills for the rest of the month. why does he care? These types of medications stolen and sold all the time but he had no right to say a word as this was the only time this has ever happened to me. Needless to say. I was fuming as I left the store and went right on down the street and filled it with no questions at CVS.

I was really surprised with this place, not for the better though. I thought that since this was in Tujunga that it would be a lot cheaper since it isn’t exactly the best area. This grocery store is really nice from the outside, clean and modern looking, once I got inside that wasn’t the case. I felt like I was shopping in an empty warehouse. Maybe it’s just me, but I really prefer the cleanliness and fullness of Vons. In any case, shopping here made me really appreciate living in Glendale. I never thought that was happen… ever. They don’t have half the stuff here that I normally like to buy, and all their vegetarian stuff is extremely over priced. You’d think that at Albertsons that it would be a cheaper grocery store, can’t ever over how expensive it is! Luckily, I only visited this place because I was in the area(had to visit my favorite PetSmart store) so I most likely wont ever come back here again, not unless I have to.

I frequent this Albertsons because: –its close –friendly staff(especially the cashiers!) –their prices [more often than not] beat the Vons & Ralphs –great alcohol selection(yes, actually this is important; its the deal breaker for me between the different markets. lol.) like Unilocaler JoEllen S. said: «their bakery leaves something to be desired.» I completely agree, this is the biggest downfall to this Albertsons. It is the worst place to go to around 10PM when you’re craving something sweet and the package of oreos don’t do it for you [trust me, this is my real life experience] Their cupcakes in the bakery section are previously frozen T__T guess no late night sweets for me?

This is my local grocery store and I shop here daily. Plusses, its close to the house and prices seem lower than other neighborhood markets. Staff is wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Their bakery leaves something to be desired. The baked goods taste very commercial and are UNINSPIRED! Produce is generally better than Von’s or Ralph’s locally, but once in awhile you’ll find some old bunch of spinach or kale that should have been put out of its misery days ago. My husband is extremely picky about markets and this is his favorite, so its become mine, except for the bakery. I pray to the Gods of bakeries to bring some new and improved baked goods to this market and then I would be 100% satisfied.

As others have said, a very surly place to shop. Rude, impersonal cashiers and staff. Don’t come here unless you have to !

This is probably the nicest Albertson’s I’ve ever been to. It seems to me that Albertson’s fall somewhere after Ralphs but before Food4Less. Gelson’s and Whole Foods, of course, top the list. But the produce at this particular store is really fresh. I love how large and clean the store is as well. When it came time to buy a cake for my friend’s shower, I decided to order it from the bakery here because it’d be easiest to pick up from. I called and got a quote. Only $ 26 for a half sheet! Wow, that’s crazy. For an additional $ 6, I could get it with fresh fruit. They told me I just needed to call 24 hours in advance to order. I requested the pick up time of 11 a.m. At 11:15, they weren’t quite ready with the cake yet. That fresh fruit I requested? I think they popped 5 pints of strawberries on the cake! Woah! That’s a lot of strawberries. I found them trying to cram more on and pipe extra frosting on when I got there. They really did go beyond my expectation of «grocery store cake.» Because there were so many strawberries on top, they had to inscribe the cake on the side. Fine with me! I’m sold on Albertson’s cakes now. The chocolate cake itself was moist, sweet(but not overly so) and the strawberries were just perfect.
