Had a friend come over to my place near I-10 and cortero. He managed a ride from the ‘city’ using über but found no über service in our area to get a ride home. Seriously? It was MAYBE15 minutes to the heart of downtown from our place around 8 or 9 on a Friday night and no one could come get him. l, not even in the next hour! Ended up having to drive him home ourselves, not a huge deal because we will do anything for our friends. I travel out of town every month and if I don’t have a rental I’ll always go with lyft, a taxi, or car service just because I found this so ridiculous on behalf of über only servicing certain parts of the city. I don’t put it past them to do the same in other cities and quite frankly I don’t feel like getting stuck anywhere so I just avoid them altogether.

I love Über, don’t stone me for saying so. But I love the personal feeling of having your own driver, and every car I have been has been clean and never once have I felt unsafe. I was in Tucson for the weekend working an event, so I didn’t have my car, and wanted to visit some friends on my down time, thanks to Über I was able to get around no problem! Love that its so easy to use. Ordered my car and it arrived in less than 5 minutes. Like that you can see who your driver will be and what type of car they have. You bet when I am traveling or needing a ride, Über is the one I turn too.

Über always keeps the meter going after I get out of the car so my bill is way more expensive, also they take the longest route to get to my house!!!

What’s not to like– über as a service is awesome. Not every driver is 5-star stellar but overall I’ve had good experiences with über in Tucson, which I can’t say the same for taxi services. I would support a local taxi service that offers Reliable service, but I haven’t found one that does, so über it is!

Über is a fantastic service and a well known brand. The issue I have is that people are told, upfront, that tips are not required and to most that means, «Don’t Tip». And, they don’t. The drivers work hard to give passengers a great ride and have to put up with a lot. A way to tip would be a great add, and get rid of that statement. Again, great service and cars are al clean and late models. I would hate to be without Über.
