My wife and I were visiting Tucson from Colorado. We had a lovely experience with getting our hair done. We also had an astonishing treat with a massage from Eileen. She is a sweet, loving spirit who has excellent technique, highly intuitive and comes with great training and experience. I highly recommend Robert Markley Salon and Spa. Don’t leave without your massage!

I have had many wonderful experiences at this salon. I am extremely picky about people touching my hair and especially with scissors and hair dye, but Ty is literally the best!!! I don’t even live close to the salon but I trust no one like I trust her, it is worth the trip. My hair always looks flawless when I leave and its absolutely perfect just how I like it. Feels so amazing looks even better, if you don’t have a regular stylist or you are not as enthusiastic about your like I am mine then you need to be and come see Ty, changing your appearance is something exciting and if you don’t feel that way you are seeing the wrong person.

Moved to Tucson from NJ and was looking for a good salon with good, precision stylists– I have short hair and go every 4 wks — Markley salon was recommended by a friend. I have had 2 cuts by Nobie and I love her! !! She is not just beautiful, she cuts like the Johnny Depp character Edward Scissorhands!! The salon carries Aveda products, which are top notch. The salon is wonderful! Clean, relaxing and filled with the nicest, most efficient people! Robert, the owner is classy and soft spoken. Can’t say enough about this place except GO and experience all the services. Also look for David who is absolutely the most gorgeous man I have ever had the pleasure of laying eyes on!!! Right out of a GQ magazine and so very nice!! Go to the salon, get a cut, facial, etc… and see for yourself!!! Worth every penny!

I love Robert and both Robert’s (Salon Spa and Barber). I’ve been going to him for three or four years now. He and his staff are always accommodating, and without a doubt he offers the best haircuts in Tucson. He goes out of his way to make sure that I’m taken care of, and he’s a genuinely nice person, which is probably why his staff is so terrific.

Coming from someone who is super picky when it comes to highlights, this place is awesome! I have naturally light brown hair but have been dying my hair blonde with highlights for over 8 years. I am a U of A student and have been terrified to try a hair salon in Tucson (I am from Portland), and finally got up the guts to try out a place.
I read good things on Unilocal and gave Robert Markley a try. I had my hair dyed and cut by Katie, who did an amazing job. She listened to my requests and executed exactly what I had in mind. I got the same services that I am used to paying more than $ 200 for a little over $ 100. The best part is that the dye and cut lasted longer than many I have had in the past. Thanks, Katie!

I love this salon and have been seeing Mary Jo now for over two years. Although I don’t get around to getting cuts as often as I should, the team here does a great coloring job! I have had two amazing ombré natural jobs done and it has been amazing.
My first time ever coloring my hair I even got hangry because it took so long. And they helped me place a jimmy johns order! Amazing. Would recommend to my friends.

I like to use groupons to try out different spas/​salons for facials and massages. Got a groupon here, and my facial was incredible. The esthetician was very professional and the little nook where the facials are done was adorable. She didn’t push any products on me. I left very relaxes and plan to come back for future services. Thank you!

I am kind of shocked by some of the reviews I see here. I went to this salon Once. I found it expensive and the people were very unfriendly. This seems to be contrary to what most of the reviews here profess. I wonder if I just caught the entire salon on a bad day or if they have recently made efforts to improve their customer service?

My friend and both had one hour facials today with a Groupon Coupon that made our massages $ 49 each! We had never been to this spa, and were warmly greeted. We were offered tea, coffee, or water. We didn’t know until we got there, but the facial included a foot, hand, and neck massage. Mary was our masseuse. She was wonderful!!! She was very gentle and professional. I liked the steam they used on my facial, and the aroma therapy was a nice added surprise! It was a bit cold when my friend had hers done; but I went second and Mary turned off the air when it was my turn. So I was not as cold as my friend had been. I only wish they had had two facial masseuses so that my friend and I could have ours at the same time. The environment was clean and modern. Upstairs was the hair salon and alot of typical chatter going on as I waited for my friend to have her facial the first hour; but it wasn’t overwhelmingly distracting. So if you go with a friend, bring a book or some headphones. Or another option was to stroll in the shopping plaza if you bring a friend and have separate treatments. Overall, an exceptional experience at a phenomenal price! We left feeling at peace and totally relaxed. Would definitely recommend this experience with a Groupon coupon. I plan to definitely return next time I want to treat myself!

I got my hair cut last week here by Katie and she did an amazing job. Thanks, Katie! You sit down in the chair and think you’re getting a regular haircut and before you know it there’s a cup of hot tea in your hand and you’re getting a scalp massage. A hand massage followed. I didn’t want to leave. Worth every penny, I’ll definitely be back.

Had my first mani, pedi at the Robert Markley Barber Shop yesterday. Ali is beyond charming., There was this Zen feeling and she made me feel like I was the only customer she had that day. Perfect nails and toes. Already booked my next appointment. John

I have been living in Tucson for 6 years, and this is the best haircut I’ve had here, and one of the best I’ve had, period. The salon is serene and clean. The scalp, neck, and hand massages are a treat, and of course the Aveda products are wonderful.
Katie cut my hair, and did an excellent job. I have bangs with a couple of random colics, but she managed to give my bangs the perfect length and shape.
I’ll definitely be back!

I was coming to Tucson for my wedding and my hair appt with my usual stylist fell through. My friend booked an appointment for me with Mary Jo for color and hilights. I was a bit nervous and really wanted subtle, very natural looking hi lights in my brown hair.
Wow, she did an amazing job! Best color and hi lights I’ve ever had, I can’t recommend her strongly enough, and if I lived in Tucson, this would be the place I’d always get my hair done. Relaxing environment, friendly people, loved it!

This salon is the best I’ve ever been to. Everyone here is extremely kind and professional. I’ve never left this salon unsatisfied — in fact I’ve loved every haircut, dye, and trim!
I recently came in for a new look, and Nikki, who I’ve been seeing for probably a year now, did an amazing job! I’ve gotten so many compliments on it and people even ask me where I got it done and ask me for Nikki’s name! She’s the best hair stylist I’ve ever seen. She’s incredibly kind, funny, and a pleasure to talk to. I recommend her to everyone!
She listens to what I want to do, asks lots of questions, and pays attention to all the details. She’s incredibly talented.
Overall, this salon is fantastic. I always leave here feeling amazing even if its just a quick bang trim. The quality of service is something that is so hard to find these days.

What a great experience. The salon manager treated my daughter and I like princesses. He checked on us constantly. He walked my daughter to their companion salon down the way for her hair color while I stayed in the main salon for an extraordinary 1.5 hour massage. One of the best I’ve ever received in 40 years of getting professional massages. And then after the massage she offered me use of the in-​room shower with Aveda products. Afterwards a protein snack and water with lemon to revitalize. My daughter lives in Tucson and booked her return appointment. I live in Phoenix and am going to coordinate with my daughter to create another ‘princesses’ day. Next time I’m going to try a hair cut and style. Highly recommend the experience and the services.

I have been going to this salon for 4 years and I highly recommend it due to the consistent high quality and professionalism of services provided at this salon. I have been very satisfied with many of their services, from haircuts (short-​hair and long-​hair), to full body massages, facials, products, etc.
In general, I love Aveda salons for the overall higher quality of service and natural products (that includes a scalp massage with essential oils with every haircut!), but this Aveda Salon is a step above other Aveda salons. When I first moved to Tucson 5 years ago I tried out every Aveda Salon here. This one quickly became my favorite when I received my first haircut there with an amazing stylist who knew how to create excellent layers and texturing, and later I had some consistently amazing full body massages. I happily became hooked on the Robert Markley Aveda Salon ever since.
In my 4 years of going to the salon, I’ve only had one haircut I did not like and when I let the salon know, they were immediately responsive and quick to give me exactly the haircut I was looking for. They made me feel very comfortable and even thanked me for letting them know how they can be better. I really appreciate their professionalism and always-​friendly staff.
It’s always relaxing and even fun going to this salon, and I consistently walk away receiving a great service.

I heart Nikki! I was super hesitant to find a new stylist when I recently moved to Tucson, as I am very particular about the color and length of my hair, but Nikki was amazing — she gave me exactly what I asked for that first visit, and has done a fabulous job every time I’ve been back. Plus, it’s an Aveda salon so all their products are great (and smell glorious!!). It’s clean, relaxed, and well maintained with friendly, professional staff and I’m so happy I found it! :)

Bottom line: I love Aveda salons, and this was the BEST Aveda salon I have ever been to. My haircut lays fantastically in all different kinds of styles! I will be back!
Tai was not only sweet and welcoming, but as she cut my hair she thought of everything! She asked me many questions about how I like to wear my hair, style it, if I put it behind my ears, etc., and gave me a cut that works in every situation! I have very thick and wavy hair, and she worked magic on it :) Additionally, I always give hairdressers a vague idea of what I want, and end with «but since you’re the expert, you do what you think looks good.» They are usually hesitant to follow-​through with that last point, but Tai ran with it. She is truly an artist and gave me the best haircut of my life! She didn’t go crazy, but she gave me a cut that I wouldn’t have even known how to ask for!
I used a Groupon, and as a chronic Groupon-​er (I only get my haircut when I get a groupon, so I’m not loyal) I am absolutely coming back here and making this my regular spot! Thank you!
