Never again. We went to Opa! for lunch after church, we came in but were not greeted or seated for several minutes, unfortunately, the first thing I noticed was one of the waitstaff wiping her nose repeatedly with her hands.gross. We seated ourselves and our drink order was taken by the manager, then our waitress(the nose picker) brought our drinks which were not what we ordered, and when we said that she rudely replied«well I’m just bringing what she told me». The menus stank like they had been wiped with a rotten dishrag from last week. Then she brought a hummus platter which we could not eat because our party did not have plates or silverware… still wiping her nose with her hands our waitress got some plates for us, and I decided I didnt want to eat there and be totally grossed out the whole time. it was disgusting. BUT…the icing on the cake is that after we dined at a restaurant next door, this waitress followed us out to the parking lot and stared us down, trying to intimidate us as I loaded my small children into the car. UNACCEPTABLE, the only reason waitstaff should follow customers into the parking lot is to return a forgotten item.

This is a great place to have healthy delicious Greek food at a decent price. After we sat down we were offered a complimentary appetizer of hummus, a tzatziki like dip and pita triangles, tasty. There are nice lunch specials and many different choices on the menu. I loved the fact that there was a low carb offering, and the dishes seemed to have a home made and well presented presentation. They didn’t skip on the feta, love that. Most of all, my favorite thing about this place was the fact that on one day a couple months ago I wasn’t feeling well but needed lunch, and when I came in the lady who helped me was very sweet. I’m not sure if she was the owner but that’s how I would treat my customers if I owned a little amazing Greek restaurant. Go to Opa with a date or with a bunch of friends, great ambiance, good hearted people, and delicious food.

Friday night at Opa! I ordered the Sea Bass Special which came with roasted vegetables and lemon potatoes. The sea bass and vegetables were great but the potatoes were too dry to eat. Fortunately the waiter offered to cook a fresh batch to take home. Overall the service was good and the atmosphere was inviting. I will definitely make a return visit.

A solid three. The food was good– with our group, we got to try quite a few entrees. But what stands out most is the slim service. After calling in a reservation much earlier in the day, we awkwardly waited at the front of the restaurant for several minutes without greeting. Multiple servers waived curious hand gestures at us while frantically spraying blue cleansing fluid into the air above tables, then running out the forks, napkins and such. Finally we were waved over to a four person table. For our 5 person group. For five? I confirmed. We sat down to four menus and four place settings. This was never rectified. Upon our completed party’s arrival, we attempted to order drinks and saganaki. But wait! The next table had to be set before we placed the order. Finally our order was received. First, the saganaki. Everyone knows the fun in ordering saganaki is in the presentation of a pan of cheese lit on fire. But none as memorable as this. We nervously watched as the server backed up into a table of elderly folks, giving too brief a warning before setting the cheese aflame. I feared for the woman with the oxygen tank, and was relieved when multiple shots put out the fire. A few more confirmations of our drinks and they appeared at the table. After enjoying our cheese, 2 of 4 salads were passed out, but were too quickly followed by all 4 entrees. At this point our tiny table was overflowing with plates. At least our food was delicious.

Great service! Excellent food. Nice little off the path stop for our lunch break! Thanks for the ice coffee guys! Wish we knew we couldn’t use the coupon for the full priced meals we ordered or we would have ordered lunch specials. Lesson learned. Could have saved 10.00, that’s quite a bit. Bummer. Let your server know you have a coupon prior ordering.

If you like Greek food then you are going to like this place! It is a cool atmosphere. We were seated quickly and the service was great. Out food came surprisingly fast. That was definitely a plus! Before the food came they have us a plate with pita bread and humus. I ordered the gyro platter. Everything was fresh and tasted great! My wife presented the filet gyro! Since j don’t love Greek food I thought it was a little overpriced, but like I mentioned if you like Greek food then I am sure you will like this place!

«My big fat dissapointing greek dinner!» We’ve been coming here for several years now and tonight may be our last. The service in the beginning almost non-existent. Not even getting agnawledged for the first 12 minutes after being seated was nice? Our booth backed up to the server pick up area and the manager, Heidi, was yelling and arguing with the servers as to what table belonged to who, and continued to argue while on the floor in between tables? For being a manager she was one of the least professional people in the place. The food was good, but the atmosphere left much to be desired. During the meal two servers at different times walked by our table swearing out loud? So after all this I talk to Heidi and explain our«issues» and she says that the yelling had to do with two servers coming in late from the game(u of a vs. stanford.) I think that should have been taken in back and discussed? The only saving grace was the server we ended up with, Marcos. He was on top of refills and seeing if we were ok, thank you! Maybe it’s time to find another greek restaurant? I do believe I will call and try to reach the owner, she is a wonderful human being and she may be able to dicuss this disappointing evening?

After reading these mixed reviews… we had to go check it out for ourselves. I’ll admit, it wasn’t quite 4 star wow, but it wasn’t 3 star either. The restaurant décor is kind of campy, but fun and clean. We enjoyed the free hummus appetizer and thought the tzatziki was really good. My boyfriend ordered the classic gyro and was pleased. He said it wasn’t the best he’s ever had, but wasn’t bad. I ordered the falafel platter… and while the falafel was clearly the winner of the night for both of us, it was overpriced at $ 13.95. A lot of the complaints seemed to be about service though — and ours was great! Our service was nice and prompt and made sure we he everything we needed. Wouldn’t be my first place to stop if I was hungry, but if you’re in the area, it’s worth checking out for lunch!(They have specials then!)

I’m not sure how to rate this restaurant. If I could I would have given them 2 ½ stars. My wife and I do like the food and have gone here 10 – 15 times in 12 years. The food is a bit pricey for what it is but depending on what you get the portions are sometimes more than sufficient. So if we like the food why not give a better review? The service. Never once has it even been decent. Add 30 – 45 minutes to whatever amount of time you usually allow for going out. Getting a check out of them usually means chasing down a waitress so that you can leave. Tonight my wife really wanted Greek so we came here. We stood waiting to be seated as waitresses walked by us .One asked how many were in our party and we told her 2. She went away tending some customers as well as taking a generous time out to hydrate herself. Several minutes later she came by and told us to sit wherever we wanted. She couldn’t have told us this the first time??? It’s not like they were busy. We were left sitting at the table with no menus. A part of 4 walked in were seated immediately and given menus. We sat for a few minutes more and no waitress appeared while the people who came in after us ordered. So we left. We left and went next door to Sauce where we had great service and a great pizza. I think this place does much of its business on coupons and if want to try it I suggest you don’t go without one. I you don’t mind being ignored and have lots of time it might be worth it.

I took hindu vegetarian friends for dinner. After selecting a vegetarian dish from menu and waiting for 30 min we got beef dish with same name. Needless to say not paying attention to simple request and ordering from menu is too complicated for this place. Very disappointed.

Immediately upon arriving, I was absolutely captivated by the atmosphere and was transported to Santorini. The service was next to perfect, and the food was phenomenal. 5 out of 5 stars, easily the best Greek restaurant in Tucson– if not Arizona– if not the USA. Love it!

the first time we came here it was for lunch about six months ago it was pretty good, nothing to complain about. Lastnight we went with my inlaws and children. Let alone the mistakes and waiting on things the whole dinner; waitress specifically asked if we wanted feta on our gyros then they forgot it anyway, my husband and father in law endedup getting their own refills after waiting 20 min after asking, they never brought more ketchup back for my kids’s fries etc. but the waitress was loud and obnoxious, told my mother in law, «smmhhh, this is a Greek restauraunt! No we dont have tarter sauce!» when they asked fr some for the sea bass which was soaked in way oo much lemon along with everything else on the plate. My gyro meat(which is my favorite meal ever) was much too salty this time. They charged us for an adult sprite even though my daughter got a kids meal which comes with a drink because the waitress said she, «looked like a big girl». We still ended up with an $ 83 check after having a $ 25 off certificate. We all decided we will dive the extra time to go to the place in the Foothills Mall next time which is cheaper and much better anyway! Very disappointed seeing how I dont get to have Greek much anymore moving to Vail and I was so looking forward to this all week :(

It was my dad’s birthday and he decided this was where he wanted to eat for lunch. It helped that we also had a coupon. Off we went through the throngs of Campbell traffic to this cozy little restaurant in the Campbell Plaza. We arrived at the right time as it wasn’t very busy and were seated immediately. Our drinks came quickly, though three choices of Greek beer were on the drink menu, and only one was available. Didn’t matter, it was still a decent beer and was served in a neat, frosty mug. We also received a complimentary platter of warm pita triangles and cucumber slices with hummus and tzatziki sauce, all of which were gone in minutes. The tzatziki was very creamy with the perfect amount of dill and the cucumbers very fresh and crisp. I ordered the classic gyro with fries. I’m a fry addict, so I have experience with many, and these were just excellent. It’s clear they’re hand cut and they were fried perfectly and came with a great seasoning. The gyro was huge! I definitely couldn’t eat it all. Plenty of meat with generous amounts of lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and onion with tzatziki on the side. My sister got a Greek Salad which was basically my gyro sans the pita and was also a large portion she had to take home to finish. My dad got the filet mignon gyro with a side salad. He enjoyed the salad and nearly finished his entire gyro and commented on how tender the meat was albeit a little salty. The service was good and somewhat friendly, though no thank you’s were given, but that doesn’t bother me too much. Our waitress was attentive and got everything out to us and asked us how everything was. I tipped as if I didn’t have the coupon. All in all, we’ll return again in the future, especially to take advantage of the lunch specials(we arrived just a tad too late this day!).

A solid a Greek restaurant. Both times I’ve dined for dinner. They start you off with a free appetizer of hummus and taziki with pita. The first time I was impressed with my choice so I ordered it again. #46 grilled chicken hummus and feta on a pita with a side Greek salad. A generous portion for only $ 10. They have a beer and wine menu, although I haven’t ordered from it. This time we finished the meal with baklava, which was fantastic. The first time service was slow, but no issues tonight.

Should I stay or should I go now? Should I stay or should I go now? If I go there will be trouble An’ if I stay it will be double If I’d had even a bit of awareness of my surroundings I probably should have asked myself that question because I think the answer would have been«go now.» But I can be a bit oblivious at times… THEGOOD The appetizer of hummus, cucumbers, tzatziki and pita: Complimentary and a nice portion too! Gyro meat: Super flavorful and perfectly sliced strips/chunks. No thin, little shaved pieces! Tzatsiki sauce: Very flavorful with plenty of dill Baklava: Serving is huge and sweet ~ just not what I’m used to. I like baklava that is more layered and flakey but this was still good. Pastitsio: Looked like a giant piece of lasagna and actually very good. M loved it and ate every bit of it. However we found it odd that a stray piece of lettuce and a carrot made its way under the Pastitsio. Odd because it wasn’t served on a plate with any salad or veggies. The Pastitsio was served completely by itself so how did the lettuce and carrot get there? THEDECENT/OKAY/MEH Lamb chops: Flavorful but overcooked Roasted Lamb with gravy: I thought it was«okay» Side Salad served with meal: Can’t really go wrong, ya know. Pretty basic salad with lettuce, a tomato slice or two, a cucumber slice, a couple of olives and some feta cheese. The salad was heavily dressed though and was swimming in salad dressing. Employees: They were friendly enough and our server Heidi was nice and helpful in helping us to understand our coupons. The buser or whatever the young man was… he was nice and attentive. We had walked outside for a minute after ordering and M left her phone on the booth seat. He made sure to let us know he moved it to a safer spot. He also checked on us a time or two. Perhaps he sensed our overall disappointment after we paid and left because he actually came outside to where we relaxing for a minute to make sure everything was ok. THEPOOR/INEXCUSABLE OK, I don’t even know how this can be considered acceptable. The staff was doing«maintenance» during business hours. Granted they weren’t very busy but it was disturbing to see a female employee up on a ladder in the kitchen area that is clearly visible to customers working to put together a vent and doing drilling in to the ceiling and metal fixture RIGHTOVERTHECOOKINGAREA. Holy cow, we watched her spin that vent around in circles from the ceiling while our gyro meat was being sliced off the rotisserie spit directly under that spinning vent. Sure hope there aren’t any metal shavings and gunk in the gyro meat we took home! Four of the employees(servers?) hung out at the counter gossiping, drinking beverages and playing with their phones. Again, in an area clearly in view of customers. Our server also decided it was a good time to paint her nails. And does it even need repeating but yes, in an area clearly in view of customers. When we needed her for something she stood at our table waving her hands back and forth to dry them!

Love this place! We have never had a bad meal! The gyros are fantastic, order almost every time. But try anything not the menu, you won’t be disappointed. The Greek spaghetti is fantastic, but you might as well ask for a to go box when you order, you’ll have lunch for the next day! I would have given 5 stars, but if you go to late they do tend to try and rush you out. That’s the only negative I have to say. We will be back again and again!(just not too late).

I went in last night an hour before their closing time. They insisted that I order my food to go. So to be fair, it wasn’t off to a great start. I ordered the spicy chicken wrap platter. In house, it might have been great. But by the time I got home, it was a greasy mess. While I didn’t bother finishing the wrap, the rice was very tasty. For all I know it could be a great restaurant. But you better get there at least 61 minutes before they«close.»

Came in for lunch… Took a while to get seated but was greeted with a horrible platter. Couldn’t tell if it was supposed to be babaganoush or hummus. Either way, it was all tahini and bland. The food took way beyond 30 minutes and by then my lunch break pretty much almost was over. The food was cold and the salad accompanying it was larger than the veggie moussaka. I had to wait 15 minutes to get the bill as waitresses ignored me trying to flag them down. The bill was $ 15 and a stinking obligatory tip for bad service set me back $ 17 total for a cold, bland, small, late arriving lunch. Skip!

Well I really love this place. The service can be excellent or spotty depending on your waiter. I enjoy the pre– meal humus and dip with cukes and bread. Very nice portions with the meal. Authentic seasoning and flavors. The baklava is awesomeness on a plate. I always get the gyro — I have left overs for another meal.

Came here for dinner on a Saturday night at 7pm. The place was about half full, and we were seated immediately with our reservation we had made that morning. The standard appetizers were great– we had taziki sauce(fantastic) and hummus on a platter with pita slices on the side. We also ordered the grilled«flaming» feta skillet with tomatoes and peppers, which they set on fire before putting on our table and yelling«Opa!». By this time I was getting a little full before we even received the entrees, so I started slowing down a bit. There was a huge selection of entrees including low carb options, and assemble yourself pita platters, burrito style wraps, and combos. My bf and I opted to share a gyros pita wrap, which came with grilled veggies inside and salad. The portion was huge, and it was a good thing that we shared! The meat was very tasty and cooked well. Unfortunately, it didn’t come with hummus or taziki like some of the other entrees did, so we shared the taziki his family got as part of their meals. Tip for coupon holders: If you’re trying to meet minimum to get a discount(for example, $ 50 off $ 100), you can order meat to go(specify how many pounds you’d like), a bag of pita bread, and taziki sauce in a big to go container and have it as another meal the next day. Overall, very good Greek food and nice restaurant!

I am still in town visiting my mom. I printed another Certificate because u can only use 1 per month for the same place. Last month I ordered souvolaki which was great but the service was terrible. This past Wednesday I am happy to report that my moms spicy chicken wrap with salad was great. I ordered the lamb loin wrap without the wrap which came with mushroom, onion, green peppers, & melted feta, I ordered mine without the feta as I am allergic to dairy. It came with salad & rice. Everything was delicious and the portions are huge so I had enough left for 2 more really good meals. This time the service was much better!

I met my fiancé here for lunch this afternoon. We were actually planning to go somewhere else, but we walked by Opa! and Erik asked if I wanted to go there instead. There was a couple of women sitting outside with a plate of pita and hummus on their table, it looked good, so I said, sure! I was pleasantly surprised that we were brought that same pita and hummus plate upon sitting down.(Who doesn’t love free food?!) There were also several $ 5.50 lunch specials that sounded delicious. Erik picked one of those(a beef gyro) but I was a little disappointed there were no falafel lunch specials. I ended up getting a falafel wrap anyway. It came with rice and a greek salad, and did I mention the wrap was HUGE?! It wasn’t the steal of a deal the lunch specials were boasting, but for $ 12, I can’t complain because I ended taking half home for later anyways. I was a little surprised after checking into Opa! on Unilocal it only had 3 stars… I was quite impressed with their service and food. Maybe lunch time is the best time to go? I know we’ll definitely be back to get our Greek on.

Depressing quality… I had the lambchops. $ 17USD for 3 piece of lamb. Small portions and low quality meat. 2 of the chops were bite size and hard and dry. Wraps were bad… Overall meat quality sucked in each order. If it’s an unfortunate event that your here, order the hamburger(the one where they play with fire in a sizzling platter). This was decent, but the fries were horrible.
